Excellent stay

Nice quiet location a short ride away from the city. The Villa and rooms were very clean and modern, and the staff were all wonderful. Breakfast was excellent and lunch as well. Can really recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff

This is a fantastic hotel in so many ways. Its a little outside of Galle which was good as it was quiet and relaxing. It looks a new hotel and is decorated really nicely. The room had everything you need - great bed, air con, fridge, hairdryer and fabulous shower. Everything is spotlessly clean especially the swimming pool. They arrange a free Tuk Tuk into Galle each day. The best thing however is the staff, it is run by two great young men, who were so courteous and helpful and smiled all the time. The lady who prepared our breakfast each day was so warm and caring and the breakfasts were so delicious. This hotel is a greatly find!

Lovely villa close to Galle centre.

Lovely villa, close to Galle centre. The room was very large, as was the bathroom and the bed! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was great. We would highly recommend this property.

Great stay in Galle

The location is great and the free tuk tuk ride till Galle Fort is nice! The staff is super friendly and doing everything exceptional! The breakfast was delicious

Lovely stay in a great guesthouse, nice and quiet away from The Fort hustle and bustle, free tuk tuk

The breakfast at Deltora Villa was honestly the best we had in all of the hotels we stayed in, in Sri Lanka. There was a choice of the juice and the type of main we would like, I actually had the sri lankan omelette each morning as it was so good. Bed was very comfortable and surrounding monkeys in the trees delightful. Lovely quiet area and ambience of the villa was very nice. The owner's husband dropped us off to The Fort the first morning as he was heading out which was very thoughtful. Staff were really nice and helpful with anything we asked.

In Booking.Com description of the room the facilities included a bathrobe. This was neither in the room nor apparently included when we asked the staff. I found this with everywhere we booked actually, either slippers or bathrobe mentioned that were never included. I was also conscious of the daily housekeeping being marked in facilities as an additional fee. This was addressed in a previous review where someone complained. The response from the owner to him was that if you stayed more than 2 nights you did get housekeeping done, which I thought was fair enough. However, this did not occur, we stayed 3 nights and did not have anyone do anything in our room while we were there, except adjust the television for us which was our fault for not knowing how to... I just feel that for the price each night and the quality of the premises if this was included it would probably make the villa a 10 out of 10!

Amazing hotel in a quiet and idyllic location

Lovely property in quiet surrounding. It’s feels like being in a house. It’s a small and very personal hotel. Our bedroom was big and had a lovely balcony looking over the pool. The pool is wonderful, we swam late in the evening. The staff is welcoming and kind. Everything was perfect.

Charming place

Book here with no regrets, place is very beautiful and charming, rooms are very comfortable and people who works there are kind. It was the most elegant accommodation we had in 12 days of Sri Lanka.

Only AC in the rooms, a Fan could be a good option to put.

Overall lovely stay at Deltora Villa.

Really nice stay here for our trip to Galle. The staff were lovely, room was amazing and pool was great for a refreshing dip. The staff organised a rental scooter for our stay too.

Great villa in Galle

Comfortable beds in a lovely room, nice pool to cool off after exploring Galle Fort. The daily free ride to the Fort is a great touch. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. And breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful villa and rooms. Best breakfast we had on our trip. Very nice and caring staff.

The villa is a bit outside the city cente but you can reach the Fort in 5 min by Tuk Tuk (one ride is free)!

Lovely quiet hotel with kind staff

The hotel is comfortable and has nice style, with good sized rooms. It's in a quiet location and the staff are very lovely and helpful. The hotel is a 5 minute tuk tuk ride from Galle Fort (25 min walk along busy road) which means it's nice and out the way. Be warned that tuk tuks from the Fort will try to charge too much, it should be no more than 500 rupees.

There wasn't much breakfast choice.

Staying at Deltora Villa is like living with family!

I liked the attention to detail from the welcome drink, the free tuk tuk ride to Fort Galle, swimming pool, great breakfast and dinner. I had an early departure on my last day - I was given a superb breakfast in a box for my train ride to Colombo. I was given a king coconut as a gift; the staff arranged to open the coconut complete with a straw. Finally, the owner's husband gave me a ride to the train station. Was like living with family.

Clean and calm hotel

Wonderful stay at a beautiful villa.

The staff couldn't have been more attentive. The 3 lads working there made it truly special. The owners came and met the residents too. Food was wonderful.

This was one of our favourite accommodations in Sri Lanka! Very spacious room with extremely comfortable bed. Excellent air conditioning. Beautiful design and attention to details. Very friendly staff and perfect swimming pool. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Galle!

Lovely stay

Breakfast was tasty and lovely prepared. The house is located in a small street, so that it's very quit, but also near to a main street so also quite central. The owners were very kind and helpful. I would stau there again.

Amazing staff, would recommend

100% the staff made my stay. The lads there were very nice with me (Krishan & Shan, I asked to buy water and they went to the supermarket for me.Also helped me several times with the tuktuk drives that doesn’t speak English 😅

Wifi is extremely bad. As I had to do some work this was a big issue for me. Also I saw monkeys on my balcony, was not expecting that, I really don’t like them.
