We are seasoned users of the 2 major Vacation Rental services (including stays throughout the US, the Canadian Maritime Provinces, Puerto Rico, and now Mexico) and would have to say this is easily one of our favorite rentals.
With the 3 King Master Bedroom/Bathroom Suites, Shana & Gordon's vacation home near Punta Sur on Isla Mujeres was the perfect fit for our group of 3 adults.
Between Shana, Jennifer the Check-In Mgr, and Alex the Property Mgr, they were very responsive to any questions or requests we had. And this was during Carnivale Soy Caribe week on Isla, so things were a bit hectic Isla-wide with the celebrations going on.
Being multi-level there are stairs involved, so you will need to take that into consideration. The kitchen is furnished with all the appliances you would need including a Gas Grill on the 3rd floor sundeck. But if you want to prepare your own food, a trip to Chedraiu would be in order.

Our host, Shana, was available to answer all our questions as first time island guests. Shana introduced us to Julie (Isla Everything) who managed our transfers from airport to ferry to home and return to airport for both our groups which arrived and departed at different times. Julia was in contact with us both on arrival and departure days. Julia also arranged our golf cart rental for first 3 days which met us at the house as soon as we arrived. Jennifer, property manager, was very responsive to all our requests (check-in, towels, restaurant directions/suggestions). Home accommodations were perfect for our group. We found everything well stocked, clean and comfortable.
Love location at the south end. We walked to Punta Sur for sunrise most days, and were able to walk to multiple restaurants. Taxis were always available in 10-15 minutes for trips to north end. Great location. Hope to be back soon.

La Diosa Neighborhood
We were a group of 6. Ages ranging from 69-72. We are a very active group and dance and travel extensively. With that being said, this house was not the perfect match for our group. The house was 3 levels with with very little handrails on the stairs or entering the pool. In fact no stairs leading to the pool, just stepping off the ledge. On the plus side it is a lovely home, just not a good fit for our group. The owners are very good about communicating. The house manager, Jennifer, was very quick to respond if we had a problem. The house was clean, with the amenities listed.and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The beds are not very comfortable, unless you like sleeping on very hard mattresses. The master bedroom is very bright. It does have blinds, but does little to darken the room for resting. I feel like the house is as advertised, and some of the things that were not suitable for our group were things we could not check out before renting. That is why I am stating them in my review. It may be helpful to other older renters. I know that many larger homes are multi-level, but I have always managed to rent those that have at least one bedroom on the ground floor, adequate handrails, or an elevator. With that being said, Isla Mujeres is a beautiful place to visit. We do not go to sit in the house.

AWESOME RENTAL!
Loved everything about this property...location was outside of the downtown chaos but there were great restaurants close by with live entertainment....house was all stocked up with essentials for the week and owners and property managers were quick to respond...would highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay! Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent both before and during the trip. The house is well appointed and the location is on the quiet end of the island. We would definitely stay at Casa Solbeso again!

Great Home in Paradise
We were thrilled with our stay at Gordon and Shana's home. They house is very spacious and the pool was a plus. The hosts responded immediately to our questions and even gave us tips on what to do while there. I plan on booking again the next time I am on the island!

Nice, but some minor adjustments would make it fantastic!
The house is located on the south end of the island, which is great for a quieter atmosphere. It’s easy to walk to Punta Sur, Ka Hai (beach club), Mar-Bella (beach club) and The Joint.
The fish tacos at Humo’s were the best food we had during our stay! We also really liked Mango Café for breakfast and Casa Rolandi at Hotel Zoetry for sunset dinner.
You’ll have no problem renting a golf cart once you get here (if you don’t reserve one ahead of time). Cabs are $8 USD from one end of the island to the other, and there are buses that run on their own schedule that you can catch for $1 per person.
The fee to have the washer/dryer unlocked for use is $50. This felt far too expensive for the couple of loads that we wanted to do so we paid for a service to wash our clothes. We had them picked up at our VRBO in the morning and delivered back to us later in the afternoon. The total was about $3/load.
Shana and Gordon were good communicators once we arrived on the island. We had some issues with the beach towels and sheets being dirty and stained, and Shana immediately had someone come and bring us new towels. The dishware in the kitchen was dirty and we needed to hand-wash it, as the dishwasher doesn’t work well. The knives aren’t sharp and items such as sponges and Windex would have been nice to have for guests to keep things clean. The floors throughout and the showers weren’t cleaned thoroughly between guests, so we wore shoes throughout our stay. They provided a ton of filtered water and a couple rolls of paper towels, which was great. The team that provides on-site services (Angel and Jen) were both very responsive and helpful.
The pool is pretty but cold, and the cushions on the rooftop were left outside and covered in bird droppings; Shana arranged for someone to hose the cushions off for us so we could lounge on the roof. Overall this house was nice, but could use some minor adjustments to make it fantastic!

Great stay but improvements needed
Overall we had a lovely stay--this is a beautiful home. However, some improvements are needed in the cleanliness of the house, pest issues, and the check-out process. There was also a safety/privacy issue--someone hopped the fence at 8am one morning and started watering the grass. We were not given a heads up that anyone would be coming into the house or onto the property during our stay. Also worth noting that the south is the sleepier side of the island. If that's not what you're looking for, I'd recommend staying on the north side or making sure you have a golf cart to get to restaurants, beaches, the ferry, etc. All that said, the hosts were very kind, communicative and responsive, which I appreciated.

Sunsets and Sand
We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at Sol Beso. This is a lovely home at the quiet end of the island, which was perfect for us.
Shana and Gordon, thank you for being so attentive to our needs. You and your team were a pleasure to work with.
Some of our favorite restaurants were Samura (Japanese) and DeNuccio’s (Italian) and Playa Lancheros (seafood). Albatross Beach Club and Playa Norte were both marvelous places to rent umbrellas and enjoy the sound and the color of the waves.
There are many homes to rent on the island, but none better than Sol Beso!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The best!
This was our first trip to Isla - This house is perfect, plenty of room, set up with everything you need for a comfortable stay and beautiful views from the rooftop!! We loved staying on the South side of the island, close to the Joint but just a fun golf cart ride away from everything else. Gordon & Shanna are top notch at communication and making sure everything is perfect for your stay. We will be back!!

Mexico Trip
Our group of 5 started our trip on Isla Mujeres. We were very pleased with Casa SolBeso. It’s a wonderful home with plenty of room for our group. The private pool was really nice. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was really nice to have.
The views from the rooftop deck were amazing!
The location was great, outside of town and yet a short golf cart ride to shopping, restaurants and for groceries. Benito and Patricia made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
Shana and Gordon were awesome to work with! They were quick to respond to my questions and gave me a lot of suggestions on things to do during our stay.
They also put me in touch with Colleen who arranged for our golf cart rental, shuttle transfers and ferry tickets which has been a great help during our stay in Mexico.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa SolBeso and our time on Isla Mujeres so much that we’re already talking about going back!

Beautiful house, very relaxing visit
The hosts had everything set up and ready, the kitchen is pretty well stocked (could use a sharper knife set), and the beds were very comfortable.

Couldn't speak more highly of this home and the owners. Shana and Gordon were extremely helpful from booking through the entire stay. The property managers are incredible and helped us coordinate transportation to and from the island as well as on the island. We LOVED the open house, the bathrooms in each room, and the pool were highlights for our group. 10/10 recommend and we hope to stay here again!

We stayed at Shana and Gordon’s home on Isla for nine days. It was amazing! The home is beautiful! The ladies on their staff that come in and clean up after you are so friendly and they do such a nice job. Benito was friendly and helpful too!
I definitely recommend renting this beautiful home from these wondeful people! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful property on a BEAUTIFUL Island!!
Our group had an amazing time during our stay on the island! We loved the kitchen, rooftop(both sides), the pool, bedrooms w/ en-suite bathrooms! We spent a lot of time out exploring the island, hanging at beach clubs, and cruising in our golf cart. It was nice to have such a fantastic property to come back to for dinner, a mid-day break, or a relaxing day by the pool! Coffee on the roof in the morning was amazing! Shana and Gordon are very responsive and had some great suggestions! We definitely hope to be back in the near future! Thank you for sharing your wonderful property!!

Wonderful accommodations!
Great stay, we will definitely be back! Loved the live music courtesy of The Joint and enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop at night. It was great to find a location with 3 bedrooms that had adjoining bathrooms all of equal size. Shana was always very responsive which was appreciated as well.

Fabulous Time in Paradise
We were thrilled to stay in such a beautiful home. It was perfect for all of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. The evenings watching the sunset and enjoying the perfect weather from the rooftop were spectacular. The kitchen was well appointed and it was nice to have the rooftop BBQ. The on-site staff was stellar. Shana and Gordon are wonderful hosts. They answer questions promptly and were proactive with valuable information about the house, getting to the island and options of activities and eateries once there. You won’t go wrong staying here!!!

Beautiful place!
We were very pleased to find this home exactly as shown in VRBO. It is beautiful and clean with gorgeous views! The owners Gordon & Shana and the manager Benito are wonderful - thoughtful and kind. We had a great stay!
A few important details:
Restaurants - Mango Cafe and North Garden were delicious! Try them, I’m fairly sure you won’t be disappointed. We also tried Caribbean Brisas, Javi’s, Zama Beach club, Rosa Sirena’s, Miramar and La Lomita for lunch/dinner. (You can read more of my ratings on Trip Advisor)
My personal favorite food was La Lomita...but I love Mexican food and it was the best there. Everyone else in our group loved the seafood and this is a great place to eat seafood- it’s everywhere! ;) We also ate at a very upscale seafood place recommended by Shana & Gordon, but I can’t remember the name of it. It was a beautiful setting on the beach and wonderful seafood; be prepared, it is not cheap.
Small items: maybe bring a wash rag if you are a person who has to have one, as there were none available. We bought a couple at the store and left them hopefully the maid will make those available for guests. Bring shampoo, soaps, etc. Sometimes people who are used to staying in hotels forget these things. Also bring at least on long sleeved shirt as once in awhile it does get cooler, surprisingly!
Location; the island and setting of this home is beautiful. It is however on the south end of the island, so you will need a golf cart or a taxi to get to most places. We rented a golf cart and putted all over the island, which is fun to do.
We had a wonderful visit and look forward to a return visit! ♥️

Living Like Goddesses at La Diosa!
Casa Sol Beso at La Diosa was absolutely spectacular! It was the perfect location for our gals getaway. Totally tranquil and walking distance from the ruins/lookout point. The big kitchen was ideal for cooking breakfast - especially with the gas range. The house was so spacious and provided lots of little vignettes to enjoy. Whether lounging by the pool or watching sunrise from the private terrace, this place will make you feel truly ethereal.

Paradise!
Beautiful home and exactly as pictured. The location is in a more quiet area of the island, but close to The Joint and several beach clubs. The rooftop patio was my favorite coffee spot. You can view Cancun and the Caribbean from both sides, as well the stars at night. Daily housekeeping services kept the home clean and well-stocked. We had an issue with the safe, but Shana, the property manager and housekeeping did everything they could through the week to help us get that straightened out. Check-in was a breeze and Patty called us a taxi so we could go to dinner. We would definitely rent this home again and fell in love with the island. We've already been talking about our next trip back. You won't be disappointed in this property. It's very modern and up to date with beautiful furnishings. Shana was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process and was a wealth of information. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Wonderful Property
My two best friends and I rented the property for our yearly girls trip and we were amazed from the moment we arrived. The house is designed perfectly (rooms, bathrooms, pool) and all of the accommodations (kitchen supplies, linens, toiletries) were more than sufficient. The owners, property manager and housekeeper were also very attentive and helpful. Before we left, my friends already stated we will be returning and are very excited to stay here again!

Memorable vacation at La Diosa #15
Don’t hesitate... book now! Without a doubt, the hosts and their beautiful house are simply amazing.
We were 4 adults and 1 child and we spent 11 days. We enjoyed every moment of it. The house is spacious, clean, well decorated, comfortable and cozy. Not to forget the pool and the terrasse on top where we saw unbelievable sunsets. What a view!
Great location, a lot of nice beach clubs and restaurants near by that were recommended by Shana & Gordon. We rented a Golf cart along our stay in order to drive around the island and stop wherever we wanted. A must!
Benito is a gentleman. He works for La Diosa. He took care of us when we arrived and was always efficient and available while needed. Patty and her cleaning team were so kind and respectful. They came each day for a small refresh of the house and to empty our garbages. We had cleaned beach towels every 2-3 days and they changed the bed sheets once during our stay.
Hopefully in a near future, we will go back again. We highly recommended this place.

Great place with a great location
Four of us stayed for 8 days. It was perfect. We had a great time enjoying the pool and the roof top deck. The roof top was an awesome place to watch the sun rise and set. 360 degree views and free live music from the joint for happy hour. Thank you Gordon and Shana for sharing your beautiful home.

Fantastic!
Gordon and Shana are wonderful, attentive hosts. After my friends and I booked their property for our vacation, we were contacted almost immediately. In every communication leading up to our stay Gordon and Shana answered our many questions and gave us suggestions for our trip. Their house manager, Benito, was waiting for us at the house when we arrived, along with Patty, the house keeper. Both were friendly and super helpful. Benito ordered our taxis for us, and was available to take care of any needs. Patty came and refreshed our space each day, always cheerful, helpful and smiling.
The home is gorgeous! Each bedroom has an en suite bath, which is helpful when traveling with couples or multiple people. The kitchen is lovely, functional and well stocked with the essentials, good knives and pots, plenty of dishes, glassware, etc, and lots of seating options for meals and entertainment. The space is well thought out and very comfortable.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time on the island, and if we come back next year, we'll be staying at Casa Beso Del Sol.

Great Island escape!
Beautiful home in a great quiet location on the Island. All three bedrooms were very comfortable. Great kitchen for cooking our own meals. Swimming pool was awesome. 3 minutes golf cart ride to the best snorkeling beach on the island. The 360 views of ocean on the terrace can’t be beat We will be back for sure.

A wonderful place to enjoy privacy on Isla Mujeres
My wife and I have stayed in Playa Norte of Isla Mujeres but wanted to bring our 10 year old and extended family to the island for a family vacation. Shana and Gordon’s home at Punta Sur is a wonderful place to enjoy Isla with much more privacy than you get on Playa Norte. Everything you find in the nice hotels on the North are also at this home - spacious rooms, great A/C, large showers and wonderful views from the rooftop. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The premises are very safe and secure. It is a 10-15 minute golf cart ride to the North, but that trip is always so much fun that you want to make it a part of your day at least 3-4 times per day. The appliances are brand new and nothing is forgotten by the owners. This is one of the nicest HomeAway sites I have ever stayed at and we will be returning again in at least 90 days.
