My family and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. This house is so quiet and peaceful and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Kelly was quick and responsive to get back to us with any questions or needs. This house was perfectly located to Bar Harbor/Acadia without all the business which made it perfect for our young family. We also enjoyed many local hiking trails. My husband and I both agreed that we will definitely be back because we all loved the house and area so much.

This home was beautiful, the area was stunning, we loved all the barns and animals, it was so peaceful and easy to find. The house was spotlessly clean and very well maintained by the hosts. It had everything we needed for our 2 night trip. Kelly was super organized and very responsive - the only issue we had was traffic delayed our arrival so we lost out on 3 hours of enjoying it more đ

Travel to Clifton to visit with my son and his family. We stayed at this beautiful and peaceful cabin with our other DIL and grandson. My son came to visit with his family and we all spent an amazing afternoon.
We found the owner, Kellie to be a wonderful host who was very accommodating.

My wife and I have a son who lives near Park Pond in Clifton Maine. Finding a place to stay near his home has always been difficult. My wife found this listing for our Christmas visit and the property was perfect! Warm, inviting and quaint. The Horses, pony, chickens and goats next door was an added plus for us! We are planning our summer stay in the near future. Great lake cabin!

The cabin is the perfect little spot if you just want to get away from the world for a little while and enjoy some peace and relaxation! Itâs in the cutest spot, right on a little lake. Everything about our stay was great, and we hope to go back again sometime!

Our family stayed at this quaint cottage nestled in the woods for the weekend and it was the perfect getaway. The pond is beautiful and we got to canoe, fish, hike. Accommodating hosts and friendly animals that are near the property.

This was our second visit to this property. The cabin was neat and clean when we got there, and the view from the dining area is superb. The lake is beautiful, excellent for kayaking which we indulged in numerous times during our week. (A canoe is part of the package but we brought our kayaks) Clifton is convenient to Bangor, Ellsworth and Acadia National park, without being too close to the crowds.
Property manager Kelly was on hand to greet us and available if needed.
We throughly enjoyed our stay and fully intend to be back!

Lee disrupted our stay. Last day of stay we lost power then later water ran out. We enjoyed our stay.

My family had such a relaxing week at this cabin! It was so inviting, well-kept, and peaceful. The lake and the huge yard were awesome, my boys loved playing in the year and swimming every day. We all loved watching the horses and saying hi to the chickens and the goats every day! The cabin had a ton of wonderful hikes nearby (Parks Pond Bluff and Mariaville Falls were our favorites!) and Acadia/Bar Harbor were great day trips. We were sad to say goodbye, and definitely hope to return in the future!

This property is exactly as described in the listing. My husband, 3 children and I had a wonderful time. Being lake front was an added bonus and the kids spent hours fishing and swimming. The local hikes around the area were also nice. Owners were super friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend staying here!

Very nice cabin on the lake. We enjoyed walking by the horses, chickens, and goats each day. And seeing the baby ducks each morning. Convenient location for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Also convenient to Bangor. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the lake activities (canoe, fishing, fire pit) and seeing more wildlife.

My partner, our dog and I had such a great time in this gorgeous space. The home was spotless. Kelly is a sweet host and quickly helped us tie the loose ends when we arrived. The kitchen was fully equipped (pans and pots, silverware, oven), bathroom stocked. Towels were helpful so we were able to use the ones we brought for the dog, he unexpectedly swam the entire day. We were overjoyed to be surrounded by the wildlife, the peaceful farm animals and the beautiful shoreline. The rooster's calls were gentle and welcomed as we sat with coffee in the morning having escaped the city. Black flies were only unbearable 8ish-12ish, sunrise and the rest of the day bug spray did just fine (our fault for coming right at the beginning of their season). Check out was easy peasy, we would love to come back.

Great place. It would.be even better in warmer months are the lake would be swimmable and fishable. Close to town and yet far enough away. My kids loved feeding the chickens and horses. We will stay again in the future.

This was an absolutely incredible stay, and the property is exactly how it is described and shown in photos. It is remote and yet not; great hiking within 15 minutes and Bangor is a simple 25 minute drive. It was a very comfortable house. The TV and wifi worked beautifully, the canoe was a welcome addition and the chairs around the firepit at the lakefront was perfection.

We couldnât have been happier with our stay at Parks Pond. The cabin was clean, neat and comfy. The kitchen view of the bluffs overlooking the pond never got old. The pond was great for kayaking, not so large that the powerboat folks overwhelmed you but large enough to be fun and interesting. We saw 6 Bald Eagles on the quiet end of the pond one afternoon. Acadia National park was a reasonably short ride from the cabin as was Ellsworth and Bangor. There were more things to do and see then we had time for. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week in Penobscot County at this rental. Comfortable, clean and well maintained space on a lovely secluded lot. The lake is crystal clear and great for swimming, fishing and taking the canoe out for a paddle.
Close ride to Bangor and totally reasonable ride down to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We'd recommend everything about this rental and owner. Thanks!!

Quaint cabin nesseled in the woods just a few ways from the lake. We enjoyed the farm animals as well as natures wild animals. At one point we counted 5 bald eagles soaring above. We loved the pond to kayak and paddle board every day.

This property is for you if: you like roosters crowing from 3:00 am and throughout the day. (this was irritating on our nervous systems when it was marketed as quiet) The air brakes from the semi trucks on Hwy 9 added to the experience also. (Not really) In terms of the cabin, the small details to attention were missing in my experience. ie. bedroom door was in disrepair and did not stay closed and the bare lightbulb made for a unique ambiance. The bed up stairs was old and the frame was squeaky which was not restful for the person below in the master bedroom. In terms of safety, I'm mot sure why the stairs did not have a hand rail. There was only one hook in the bathroom to hang you towel. Bottom line, There were many "small" things that could be fixed or repaired quickly and I guess this level of care for the property is not in the owners focus for their paying guests. I share my experience not to complain but encourage addressing these items and others not mentioned in hope they will be addressed so others can have a better customer experience.

Beautiful place!
Totally private house, well appointed, tucked into woods with broad lawn down to easy entry lake. The water stays shallow, hip deep on adults, very far out, so kids are at minimal risk. Complete kitchen, screened windows, clean, comfy beds. Master BR on first floor, more loft like sleeping space upstairs. Horses, chickens, goat, and calf on premises, all willing to be petted and fed. Owner very accessible and happy to help with recommendations. Will return!

What an amazing vacation
This property is simply lovely. The cabin is exactly as described with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer. Itâs located 50 feet from a pristine lake with crystal clear water. The cabin has a canoe, fishing poles and a fire pit. My 21-year-old son joined us and stayed in the rustic bunk houses. The cabin is conveniently located near Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and puffin cruises. Kelly and Frank, the owners, we very responsive. We had an amazing vacation.

Nice property but May has black flies
Property and cabin as described and nice location. Enjoyed our stay except for the black flies. Couldn't spend much time outside enjoying the beautiful view and pond and firepit. Would recommend staying here after black fly season ends.

Beautiful Cabin!
The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and in a private, easily accessible locationâŚand the price was a steal! The kitchen was stocked with all supplies we needed to cook and there was plenty of firewood. The view was just beautiful. Kelly and Frank were the most hospitable hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing yard by the water
We enjoyed sitting under the trees and sky after a day of hiking in Acadia. A bit of a drive but it gave us a chance to see this part of Maine. The home is simple and clean. The lack of Wi-Fi caused a small problem when my husband needed it and the tv has only a couple channels. That was ok. I would agree with the previous review regarding the furnishings. The kitchen is really nice but the living room sofa and chairs are not comfortable and old. The master bed was good. Would I stay there again. Yes, but I know everything I need to bring. and what to expect. Thank you Kelly for our stay.
