Big enough for all 14 of us to sleep comfortably.

We very much enjoyed how secluded the cabin felt. Lots of trees surrounded the cabin, you could hardly tell there were neighbors. We loved that the hot tub was on the back deck out looking the forest in the back yard. Everything was very clean and organized. We loved the open concept of the island next to the large dining table and living room. One very small thing we didn’t love was that the hard wood floors on the main floor were creaky. So if you have any early risers they could possibly wake up light sleepers. But overall, we loved the place and would definitely recommend to others!

My brothers, sisters and Mom (8 of us!) enjoyed the cabin and the seclusion in the woods. The Hot tub rocked!

My family spent a few days here for the Christmas holiday. Cabin was very clean and inviting. Love that it was nestled in the woods. It was very accommodating for 8 adults and 4 children. Oh, and the family dog. The only concern we had was with the stairs. They are open concept and very steep in some areas, making it a fall hazard for older adults and small children. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable and enabled us to make some lovely Christmas memories.

We just stayed for the weekend for my daughters wedding. We truly had the best time at the cabin. It was spacious enough for us to not feel crowded and all the “kids” enjoyed their rooms. We definitely will be back again! It was the first time in years that I had all 6 of my kids together in one place. 5 stars!!!

Amazing cabin! So much fun and a wonderful experience!

The lower level was beyond freezing! We couldn't play games down there, as planned and our children couldn't sleep down there or even play. We even went and bought a space heater, to no avail.
Water leaked in the kitchen from upstairs. There were a significant amount of "stink bugs" in the cabin. So much so that some of our celebration dinner and desserts had to be thrown out. While we do realize these bugs are inevitable, this was beyond that.
Next, it should be noted there is a bit of a trail leading to the cabin from the parking area. This was not made very clear in the description and it is VERY slippery. In fact we had multiple falls from some of our older family members. My brother actually fell and hit his head on the porch. 😫 Luckily, we did have a medical professional in our family there.
The living room tv has 5 panel dots (white) on the screen. It was extremely distracting and we could not watch our holiday movies. The DVD player did not work either. Lastly, the wifi in the cabin was awful! Which is typically, given where it is located. However, we should not have had to use our Hotspot, when wifi is listed as an amenity.

We had a great time at this property and found everything was perfect for our group: the listing could be a bit more descriptive on bed situation (there are 4 bedrooms plus 4 twins in a loft) but overall a great experience. Hot tub worked great, grill too.

Overalll the stay was good. The property looked different due to overgrowth. But it turned out to be a good experience. Will definitely be back

This property was amazing… the pictures didn’t do it justice… my family and I loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Hocking hills Ohio …

The home has good space if you have a large group. Check in was easy. Very pretty location in the woods, but is dark during the day from the tree canopy. The house is dirty, everything I would wipe down was brown to black and forget about the floor. Super dirty. Flimsy towels they were so thin they were like a dish rag. (Bring your own if possible) Also the floors did make a lot of noise you could always hear someone walking and could hear talking through the walls including the outside walls. The beds also would make so much noise every time you would move it was so loud. The beds need to be replaced. Walking from the car to the front door is a rocky road that is a bit difficult to get through with luggage. We have stayed at VRBO for over 15 years all over the world and I would not return.

First family vacation in a long time
It was so easy booking online and the response was very quick. Great place to stay with a large group.

Cute and cozy
Can't beat a log cabin with a stone hearth in the woods on a winter weekend!

Great place for a group weekend.
We brought a group of friends out for a weekend getaway. The cabin was perfect for us. Secluded away from other cabins and homes. We didnt need to travel into town often so the distance did not matter. Plenty of outside space on the large deck. Clean and very functional.

Beautiful setting
Beautiful quiet setting, nice location. Some minor property concerns- floor boards all very noisy making sleeping later than earliest riser impossible. Hot tub not working, according to prior reviews not a new issue. Although a small thing, considering the price of the property, expected better

No hot tub all weekend
The cabin was beautiful although 5 days before we arrived we were told the hot tub was broke and they were try to have it fixed before we arrived. I asked for an update with this before arriving and no one emailed me back. We got to the cabin and the hot tub drained. That was definitely a bummer going into the weekend. Nothing was offered to us for the inconvenience of the Hot tub we were not able to use. We had 12 guest and the kids would have really enjoyed it. Other than that it was a good cabin. I just wish the communication when I asked for an update would have been better.

Outside space amazing and location great.
Overall we were all happy with our visit. The levels were great to accommodate different parts of family. The overall rating of 3 was only because the hot tub was barely usable. The repair person did come but couldn't really fix the problem...very disappointing . We lived the woods and proximity to hiking.

Beauty in the Trees
This property is quite amazing! Very lovely, clean, well-furnished and spacious. If you sit on the outdoor deck you are surrounded by green treetops on all sides, with sounds of birds singing, deer and fox running in the bushes below. Nature lovers paradise! Great for our group of adults (with no mobility issues) and teens (pool table, board games, hot tub). Small children and pets not so much. The stairs up and down are authentic log cabin feel (literally like a tree trunk cut in half and then sectioned into steps - also the handrails were thin tree trunks too, complete with knubby branch stubs). The sound was all wood cabin too (creaked with every movement - if you are a light sleeper, move on). Hilly slope has very little clearing of lawn for small kids or pets to play. Cabins rented nearby had partying music/cheering late, and one cabin up the road had a barn of various vehicles being repaired (raced dirt bikes up and down the road for a bit one night). We arrived about 4:30 pm (hungry after 3 hr. drive). Looked in the nicely organized binder for pizza places. Called to order and were told they don't deliver to our cabin, ordinarily, but Memorial Day weekend was slow so they would make an exception. The driver told us they are just 5 miles away, but the roads are windy like crazy it takes 17 min. to get to our cabin. Something to keep in mind. Logan and Hocking Hills are both beautiful, natural places. For our group it was fine, but for maybe seniors (or those with mobility issues), small kids and some pets you will need to take extra care and attention. Thanks!

Nice....but some issues
Our family vacation was nice. 7 adults. 5 kids.
Unfortunately the property is so overgrown (from the pictures it looked different) we couldn't walk the woods around the cabin. With no yard either we couldn't do much outside of the cabin as we had hoped.
Beautiful layout, however it seemed there was no subflooring?? Every footstep in every room was VERY squeaky and loud....hard to have privacy or use the bathroom at 4am without waking the whole cabin LOL.
Beware of the coffee mugs! My sister put hers in the microwave for a 30 second reheat....2nd degree burn after picking up the handle LOL.
Not sure how that happened....
The hot tub cover is very heavy and difficult to remove in its location. Theres no handlebar thing to assist like most have....definitely need 2 stronger people to get it off and must be in the hot tub to do so. No clearance to walk around it.
It was a nice visit... and much appreciated the easy check in and very nice bedrooms. Clean and well stocked with towels. Enough pots and pans but there wasn't a large stockpot so hard to boil noodles??? Maybe they'll put one in there for the next guests.
Overall nice stay. Enjoy if you go!

The cabin was better than advertised. My friends and I celebrated for a weekend and so much fun. The balcony was so cool and fun.

Wonderful weekend
We had an absolutely wonderful “girls” weekend. Amazing cabin with a hot tub, indoor and outdoor fireplace. Beautiful property with lots of wildlife. The beds were very comfortable. Stocked with the amenities. We will be back.

Thanksgiving Getaway
We gathered together for Thanksgiving and had a great time! The cabin was well equipped to handle our big group! We made some great memories around the fire pit, fireplace, hot tub and kitchen table. We only wish the weather had been a bit dryer so that we could have utilized the awesome deck space.

Girls getaway
It was a very clean cabin. Check in and check out was a breeze as we had access to a key. Management was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. If I had to critique anything I would say that the fire pit area could have been A larger area… You could probably seat six people comfortably around it. A larger area… You could probably seat six people comfortably around it.But again, I can’t stress enough that it was very, very clean!

Wedding Weekend
Great experience. Wedding weekend at The Hanger. Within 10 minutes from there ,which made going back and forth very easy. Highly recommend.

Great time
Very well maintained and beautiful place
4.0
Slightly misleading on resources, but great location
The kitchen equipment is lacking and the grill ran out of gas on our second use. We even had to buy our own scrubber for the kitchen sink and there wasn't hand soap in all of the bathrooms. Water pressure is low if you have more than one person using a shower at the same time. Also if a pandemic happens to pop up and you try to cancel 2 days after your refund cut off, they're not going to let you off on that. So, with a 19 person cabin you might get stuck eating the cost of all the people that drop out. That being said, it is a beautiful cabin deep in the woods.

Nice family retreat to unplug and reconnect with family
Very open space. Clean, comfy beds, plenty of things for all ages. 5 miles from old man cave and cedar falls.

Could Have Been Great
This could have been a great stay, but ultimately fell short.
Positives: 1) This is a big company with great response times and emphasis on cleanliness 2) This cabin is huge and has lots of space, including a beautiful, large covered deck
Negatives: 1) Craftsmanship. Not sure who built this cabin but he craftsmanship was terrible. a) Floors creak terribly. You will hear one person walking through the cabin no matter where you are b) doors open or shut on their own, or are hung crooked with large gaps c) some of the kitchen counters we noticed weren't even bolted down 2) safety concerns a) don't let a toddler in the loft. the "natural" wood rails have some gaps that a toddler would squeeze right through and fall b) steps, which are half logs, are poorly done. Some are uneven. I wouldn't let a nimble person go upstairs, as the stairs are so uneven and the rail does not come up far enough, resulting in a long reach forward to grab the rail 3) Kitchen. We do all our cooking in cabin and assumed there would be some basic cooking tools.. Is there a single measuring cup? No. How about a can opener? Nope. Knives? Yes, but they are so dull they are unusable.

Amazing weekend with Friends
We booked Buckeye Trail for our group of 4 couples, 3 nights from 2/20 to 2/24/2020, And we were very happy with the house we found. Everything from the description and pictures are just as you will find.
The house is cozy, yet large enough to find a quiet spot to relax and do your own thing. The kitchen was well equipped and laid out just fine. The cleanliness and comfort provided was just as we expected and there were no surprises. The check in process was very easy and convenient.
All beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and blankets.
Just a little note, the parking area is about a 50' walk to the house down a gravel slopped walkway.
it is easy to navigate, however, you will have to carry your luggage or drag over the gravel.
The hot tub worked very well and we all enjoyed it.
The house was close enough to things to do that you can venture out for the day and enjoy Hocking Hill's.
The very large Side deck and tables would be wonderful to enjoy in better weather. The surrounding woods really give the cabin a tucked away feel.
All of us can't wait to get back during better hiking weather and really enjoy the area and all the benefits that this cabin has to offer.
Thank you for such a great weekend.

Nice little getaway
A nice cabin. Photos are a little deceiving when it comes to property size as there is no yard which is the biggest downfall. Besides that we were overall pleased with our stay.

Great place for our larger group. Wish they had a couple larger pans.
Totally would rent this property again. The process was very easy

Great house, but with Billing surprise
It is a really nice house, everything we needed was there. But we were surprised that although the house accommodated 18 people, we were charged extra after the 13th person. Internet was not great either. I am still waiting to hear back from the owners on my concerns.
