The view
Ants and cockroaches. And the single beds were more for children not young adults. Kitchen not really suitable for cooking for 4 adults. Towels and blankets were clean and crisp.

This place is an incredible hidden gem, located just high enough to give great views over the beautiful Whangaroa Harbour from the extensive deck and barbecue area. I just loved sitting for hours under a sun umbrella in the BBQ area surrounded by beautifully landscaped native garden, just sipping coffee and reading and looking over the water. Absolute bliss. The room's interior was a solid no-frills set-up perfect for a self-catering holiday - comfortable, with everything you'd need to cook meals etc. There were so many beautiful beaches nearby and also the town of Mangonui was very cute. Lots of reminders of Maori and colonial history all around which made it such a fascinating place.
The parking was a bit of a squeak, but that probably says more about my lack of backing skills.
No washing machine. I can appreciate it's not possible in a place reliant on rainwater tanks. Anyway it's not like we're much better off back home in Wellington, seeing as how the city has water restrictions over summer thanks to losing almost half our water supply due to leaking pipes.

The location is epic with beautiful view and quiet.
A little old apartment like, the bathroom didn’t have exhaust and the shower section was small and stayed damp as there were no window or exhaust. Got a bit stuffy in there. Other than that the apartment is good and value for money

Location was fabulous and room was very tidy and tidy
No milk for the tea and coffee.

Balcony outside the accomodation, good bed and bedding
That I had to ask a passerby to phone the owners so that I could check in to my room, because the whole place was deserted all the long after oon when I arrived after a long drive. I wish they had pinned a note to me on the Office door so that I could have gained access to my room and bathroom when I arrived after a long car journey.

Check-in went very smoothly and the owner was lovely. The suite was clean and had all amenities we needed. We had a great view on the lake
The bed was a bit small, especially for my partner but it was very comfy.

A stunning location overlooking whangaroa harbour. Friendly helpful hosts. Great beaches, fishing and walks close by. Highly recommended, would love to come stay again in this slice of nz paradise. Personally I preferred staying here over the larger more touristy towns like Paihia, much more relaxed.

Location was quite, peaceful and looking down on Whangaroa Harbour. Lovely deck and outdoor spaces, DVDs available for us and the host Lisa, was friendly, efficient and super nice and helpful. As a bonus we could bring our furchild (dog)
the only slightly picky thing is that the beds were not that comfy
