Die Lage ist toll, allerdings ist man oben auf dem Berg und weit weg vom Hauptort mit Laden und Restaurants. Es ist dort natuigemäss total ruhüig, berall hat man tolle Blicke, wie an einem Viewing Point.

Unbelievable cost benefit place. Amazing views, great host and good price. If you have a car no need to look further than this property, can't imagine a better place to be while in Tutukaka
Only suitable if you have a car

Incomparable views.

This place is all about the view. We were so lucky to see the sunset on a magical evening from Grant's rooftop. I will always remember it.
Everything was fine

The views were amazing
It was advertised as a chalet with private bathroom and the “bathroom” turned out to be an outhouse and separate shower outside the cabin without lights in either one.

Stunning location and views.

The owner was magnificent! The accommodations was very comfortable, and the views were breathtaking! Most spectacular place I have seen in New Zealand 🇳🇿. It is completely worth every cent paid 😀 . Thank you for being a perfect host !

The cabin was perfect for two people and the owner was so fun and so kind and was amazing to converse with. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay at Ocean Purring View! There was a gorgeous view of both the sunrise and the sunset. The host was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.
It would have been nicer had there been access to a shower in the room; however, the host provided the information that this was not the case prior to booking.

The location is wonderful. I wanted to drink wine looking at the ocean view but I having a cold and the weather wasn’t best.
It’d be great if more dust off inside the hut, clean the stained glass and the shower need adjusting for good temperature.

Beautiful setting with ocean views. Very friendly and helpful host. Everything was done in the outdoors, fresh air, amazing views, sunsets. I was in the Kingfisher Hut.

The view was amazing & the proximity to Tutukaka for our tour was good.
We could hear the people in the room next to us talking. One windrow didn't have a blind/curtain. There were a lot of cobwebs around the room.

absolutely amazing location with 360 degree views over the Pacific Ocean. Unique style - very welcoming

The views are amazing. This is the number one reason to stay here.

breathtaking view! wonderful landscape, outperforms whatever we saw before! Worth the money because of it.
Pay attention to book the best of the available apartments.
I recommend the management to improve the kitchen equipment. There was only one wine and one champagne glass. No paper and salt, no teapot and so forth . . . It costs so little and makes much of a difference.
I hope future guest might experience a better kitchen equipment.

The view is amazing. You can see the sunrise and sunset as well as the night sky - if the weather is good. Besides, the host refunded the last night because the hut was flooded overnight.
On the other hand, the host made weird and inappropriate comments on my appearance. He wanted to convince me to take my mask of and made fun of me wearing it. Also I wore a towel one day and he asked me: "What's up with the towel? Are you doing muslim style?" None of these are any of his business.
Apart from that, the hut wasn't really clean and after a night of heavy rain it got flooded. The whole place, room, kitchen and outdoor toilet isn't made for bad weather.
Because it's a hut there were many mosquitoes that stung me to death in the night. A mosquito net would have been nice.
The kitchen was poorly equipped. There was one cooking place only. One knife and one spoon etc. might be enough for one person but not for all the guests.
The outdoor toilet smelled all the way to the kitchen and I got told by other guests, that they could smell in in their hut as well.
The shower was ok but also not very clean and you can't adjust the temperature.
Moreover, the WiFi worked sometimes and if it worked it was very slow.
To sum it up, while this might be the lowest priced accommodation for Tutukaka it's not worth the money.

The view
Spider web everywhere inside, dead and alive spider on the wall around your bed. The window is not closing. Cold and bugs are coming inside
No private bathroom, it's in the middle of the garden where everyone can see the shape of your body when you shower.
The toilet: you're doing your business in a bucket underneath the toilet (spider web everywhere).
This wasn't what we booked at all! Lies on the advertising! The owner give us back the money for only the half of the reservation even if it was totally not what's selling on booking.
