About this house rental

Between Muri and Titikaveka is a small village called Tikioki, it boasts Rarotongas’ top snorkeling area called “Fruits of Rarotonga” and is situated in the middle of a marine reserve.

If the plan in coming to Rarotonga is to relax and snorkel or swim the days away Rukuruku (Cook Islands Maori for to dive and seek) may be what you’re looking for. Its literally across the road from “Fruits of Rarotonga”.

Rukuruku is a three bedroom home, recently renovated and sitting on a big chunk of lawn (ideal for kids) and surrounded by the islands native flora and fauna.

There is a large covered deck out the front for watching the day pass by, and at the back of the house is a carport. Inside, the main living area is large roomy and bathed in light all day. There is ample space for everyone in the open plan kitchen living and dining room areas. Off to the side are the three bedrooms, and bathroom.

Rukuruku is ideal for a family holiday, its location is perfect for all the things people should do in Rarotonga… swim snorkel sleep relax.

This is a cute and affordable little bungalow not far from the Muri Beach area. Shops, coffee, restaurants are all nearby. Furnishings are comfortable if simple. It was perfect for us.

Had a great time. Good snorkelling and swimming across the road. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. Stand out place to eat fresh was Maire Nui Gardens and Cafe. Muri Night Markets visited several times. The house was well protected against mosquitoes, ceiling fans in every room was great; along with how all the windows can open to keep cool. We had a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, amazing location directly across from the beach, perfect spot for swimming and snorkelling. House was equipped with everything we needed. Eddie was great, communication was amazing, and he emailed to ensure we were settled several times during our stay. We would recomend to others and stay again next time. Thankyou !

We had a wonderful holiday and made this house our own home for the duration. The property is large and the house is lovely. A few things need updating but we were overall very happy. The location is good, over the road from the beach meant we were protected from the wind. There is a local dog that steals shoes and we lost a few before we realised and stored them all inside. Thanks Eddie, we really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing time in Raro

Great value for a fab location. Just across the road is the best snorkeling. Eddie was a super host that went above and beyond in that - we locked ourselves out and he dropped off extra key to us mid week. We can’t wait to go back to the Cook Islands again. This place was perfect for a group of ladies like us who had an active holiday going out and about and it would also be great for a family wanting a house base. Only thing to note is bring earplugs for the roosters which you will hear no matter where you stay on the islands and they start crowing just before day break! Many fun memories on this holiday!

The house is very well set up for both inside and outside living. It has a good kitchen and large lounge. We really enjoyed our stay and will be looking it up first if we visit Rarotonga again.

Eddie and the administration crew were amazingly accommodating and helpfull with all queries and the house itself is fully set out as the perfect family getaway in the perfect location for some amazing snorkeling. Right next door is a great little information Centre that are only to helpful to organize and plan anything you may want to do on the island. Overall highly recommended

What a great place to stay, excellent spot across from the Fruits of Rarotonga, the best snorkeling spot, House was great for kids lots of space, front and back decks, bbq, coconuts etc. Charlie's is just a short walk down the road, they do amazing food and cocktails, there is a little shop down the road to grab the morning paper. Plenty of sheets and towels, everything we needed. Eddie was great to deal with had no issues whatsoever. Thanks we will be back.

Great location- 1 minute walk to a great beach! House was comfortable and spacious with 2 decks- to cater for prevailing winds. Eddie was a pleasure to deal with and booking was easy. We'll definitely be back!

Great Bach. A well appointed bach, good sized rooms and living spaces meant we were not tripping over each other all time. The washing machine and BBQ got plenty of use. We stayed for a week and could have easily stayed longer. Close to Muri and a lot of great eating places including the night markets. A small shop a short walk down the road came in handy. We came to snorkel and access to the beach and some of the best diving on the island was superb. Maybe not the postcard beach as it has a rocky shore line but plenty of sand for the sunbathers. All up I’d rate the Rukuruku Haven as excellent value.

Rukuruku haven was perfect. We have stayed in many local houses. This was by far the best. Across the road from the greatest snorkeling beach. Felt like we were at home....in the island surroundings. Bus stop across road. Lots of shade at the back of house. The third room has two singles beds, which was perfect rather than a double. Nice kitchen open plan lounge onto huge front deck. Loved being able to use free snorkel gears. The tribe of chickens were awesome. We will be back!!

Rukuruku haven has the basic necessities which is all we needed situated in an ideal place, across the road from the best swimming spot on the island, less than a minute away from Charlie’s (the best and largest fish sandwich ever) and 2mins drive to Muri night markets, entertainment and activities. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Very spacious, clean, toddler friendly, 5 minutes walk from Charlie's Cafe, The Hidden Spirit Cafe, Motutu Brewery, The Emporium Shop; 10 minutes walk from Moana Sands Hotel Restaurant; 25 minutes walk from Muri. Bus stop located right outside (Fruits of Rarotonga).

The property was very clean on arrival and fresh milk in the fridge was great. The house is right nextdoor to fruits of Rarotonga which is opposite one of the best snorkeling areas in Raro. The location is very convenient to Muri approx. 30 minute walk and a 5 minute drive. About 15 minute drive going the other way into Arorangi. Great deck which we utilised at night a lot to sit and play cards while watching the water. Would definitely recommend Rukuruku.

We were a family of 5 and absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend it. Perfect for the kids to have the large lawn area to play on. We were directly across the road from "The Fruits Of Rarotonga" best snorkling on the island. It was perfect to pop across the road everyday for our swim without having to get in the car and travel somewhere. We felt very central to everything. There is a bus stop directly across the road. Loved our time here. Would love to come back.

Excellent location and the house was just what we needed. Having a house that has mosquito nets in all windows made it so easy for us as our kids react very badly to the bites. They had lots of fun and we as parents managed to relax and enjoy our time. Will defiantly come back.

Nice house and it is in a great location. Straight across the road from the best snorkeling on the island and it's about a 20 minute stroll to Muri beach.loved every minute of our stay. Will be staying there when I go back to rarotonga.
