Bed ok
I order a room stated with washing machine, when i requested the service from the reception, there is no such service unless i buy tokens for rm8 on the spot, where I already paid extra when I booked the bed. And the receptionist bad attitude. Please coordinate with Booking.com on what not provided, and state it clearly on the webpage, not wasting my time trying to solve this, in the end i still pay extra for the washing machine service. Very unhappy.

Chambre sympathique, moderne, bien équipée, atypique, bonne literie.

The location of this property was strategically placed near restaurants and tourist attractions. There’s even a fruit stall opposite the hostel which was convenient. The staffs were very friendly and kind enough to suggest places to eat. Had a great time chitchatting with them.

Beds are comfy. I can't think of anything else. Clearly no recommendation!
The pics don't show the reality. A high price for basic amenities. The pool can't be used (there's a restaurant now, a fancier one, doesn't belong to the hostel). There are about 2 sinks and 3 toilets for probably 30 people! And they are only clean in the morning. Toilet paper often is empty and the butt wash out of order. No hangers or surfaces where you can put your toiletries while brushing your teeth. There are some but they're always full, simply too little for the number of guests. The common area is the smokers/drinkers room. The lockers can only be used with big locks. There's noisy welding and construction inside the house. It feels like this once was a nice stay - before they created more and more rooms... Worst of all: staff is unfriendly. Especially in the cafe where you can have the free breakfast (which is very basic)
I picked this hostel specifically because it looked spacious, however, it is more crammed than other ones I have been to.

Loved the staff - Gaya the manager accommodated our request for an extra mattress in our private bathroom room. Sha, Clarence and Helmi were so friendly and helpful. Luffy at the Chinatown Mingle was also wonderful. Loved our loft space - cosy and comfortable. Free meals were delicious and I loved the Friday BBQ. The food at Kleptocrat was tasty and it's a very popular place. Laundry and kitchen gave us more Independence.
Location was great - easy to walk to Chinatown, Menara and Bukit Bintang. Train station close to Mingle
Nothing to say here - we loved our 2wk stay!

The property was close to public transportation and located very central to a lot of things. The kitchen/pantry was useful to make simple food however there seemed to be only one drinking mug. Bathrooms were kept clean. Staff was friendly.
We booked the single bed spaces which are located on the top floor. It was extremely loud with people coming in and out all night slamming doors. The ceilings are not enclosed and lights are left on all night sometimes. Very difficult to sleep even with ear plugs. No wifi on one side of rooms (odd numbers) and showers/bathrooms are located a floor below so going to the bathroom is a trek. The price for these rooms didn’t match our experience. Initially we chose this hostel for the awesome pool in the pictures but it is surrounded on all sides by the cafe operating there open to the public. Not suitable for actual swimming and lounging. Hostel guests couldn’t even use tables next to pool unless purchasing from cafe. Many Muslim couples patroness the cafe so it felt very uncomfortable going in next to them with a swimsuit on as they stared while eating lunch. Felt more like a photo backdrop for cafe patrons rather than swimming pool for hostel guests.

Nice set up good staff and good deal next door at the cafe for breakfast and also the food was great at the mingle cafe
You could not really use the people unless you wanted people to look at you and they are mostly Malay people

The layout of the room was cool and very rustic looking which gave it character. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The check in time could be earlier. 3pm is quite late and should be around 12pm.

Location
The “private room” wasn’t actually private but instead was a partitioned box in a big room. So if someone leaves their light on at night your room is also bright, and same for noise. Don’t waste your money paying more for the private room, I had a better night of sleep when I stayed in the dorm. Staff didn’t respond to my complaint in this regard.
Activity was nice - only did one as the other was cancelled without notice.

There are my first time the second day traveling in Malaysia. I met a good friend Max he from Canada in this hostel. When I washing my clothes yesterday he helped me how to doing that. So l will thanks for his help. By the way the forndesk staff is ok,but his pronounced makes me study a lot of knowledge and he returns me the lost washing machine corin. Thanks.
Some free Area items not anther explanation. Im not agree with my hearing the location languages. Thank.

Toilets and showers were cleaned everyday, Longer stays, got their sheets and pillow cases changed throughout the stay.
I know the ambiounce is of an old abandoned building
But even so, it needs a little maintenance still. I picked this place over another because it offered an iron, but it broke they were in a hurry to get another one.

Lot of places around hotel when you may work or chill. Washing and dry machine for my clothes. Friendly with not bad english (reception only). Clean rooms
I tried to reach to hotel before my check in by WhatsApp and phone number is didn't work. Yes, I check in anyway.
Constantly working air conditioning and thin walls in room, is really annoying when I've tried to sleep. And very often turned light in corridor

- Great Location with lots of Restaurants and Cafés
- Nice and big room with cool balcony over the pool
- Good bathroom, everything was clean
- Aircon and ventilator worked fine
- Free breakfast was delicious and more than enough!
- Every day there was a different activity you could participate like BBQ, communal dinner or a Sightseeing trip...
- Since the bed is higher up in the room the cool air from the aircon doesn't really go there and it is quit warm there all the time. But I guess this is a personal preference if you like sleeping a bit cooler or not
Since the balcony door and the windows do not fully close I guess it could be a bit noisy depending on how full the hostle is and if there are people at the pool but when we stayed there everything was finde and there was no noise :) So this is just a "nice to know"

Amazing activities! Shoutout to Tina who came to the waterfalls with us, she is the coolest ☺️ Such a well run hostel and the pool was really nice in the evening
Nothing bad but the pool feels weird to use when people are in the restaurant

I had a private room with a loft bed and a balcony by the pool. TV, A/C. and complementary water, coffee and tea in the room. Bathroom was nice. It did the job. The restaurant and pool were nice to have available. and there is a cafe right next door to get your morning cafe. Really close to the night market and Chinatown too.. The common area upstairs was nice to meet local travelers. Kitchen available to cook and store food. They also provided use of the computer and there is a piano as well. although it is out of tune... Good Stuff
The wifi kinda sucked here and there. Not all the time. But some of the time. And it gets a little noisy in the pool area when the breakfast and lunch rush starts. The dorms probably don't have that problem though because the private rooms are next to the pool.

Friendly staff, nice decoration and environment
Suggestions: provide slippers, more hangers in the toilet

It has many common areas, location is great and room was clean, locker for your stuffis available, drinking water available.
There would be a pool you can attend but it is a bit weird because the pool is in the middle of a restaurant so its a bit uncomfortable to go inside while all the people eat there.
The girls only room was good - but it was weird that there was a huge window into the cafe downstairs and no curtain - so people from the cafe/restaurant downstairs where able to look into the girls only room. we then put a blanket there to cover it a bit but it was not the most privat space.

They had computers which was nice. And free laundry which was nice. Hostel was really dead tho, so I’m not sure about the socializing aspect. But it was nice that I booked a female dorm and had the whole room to myself because no one was there. And the ac is in the unit which I can control good too. I would stay here again honestly
The food at the cafe downstairs is expensive and mediocre even with the discount. Staff was also whatever but i understand it’s no one’s dream join to work at a hostel. So don’t expect a very welcoming and great customer service. They’re Just trying to get through their shift. Also water in the shower doesn’t get hot. Just like a Luke warm , which I found cold and annoying.

In the city center.
Very stylish and unique architecture.
It was comfortable and clean.
Pool is in the center of the restaurant. Nobody uses it at the day time.
Thin walls, it can be noisy.

The staff is great and very accommodating. I had an issue with the air-co in my room, and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to fix it, they put me in a bigger room, even if I was willing to take a fan and remain where I was.
It was not very clean.

The breakfast next door was very cheap due to the hostel discount. Nice and close to China town and Masjid Jamek station.
The noise from the street could be heard very well in the rooms. The vibe in the hostel was just straight up weird, never encountered it like this before. Everybody (employees, guests) would be weirded out when being talked to, except for the two Indian ladies who worked the reception that were very nice. The pool is unusuable during the day due to the restaurant surrounding it.

Washing-Maschine broke down during my laundry. But could Happen.

Hostel is Instagram-worthy for its rustic charm and housed right above Timothy cafe with poolside dining. Plenty of Western backpackers (if that's what you like). Themed daily activities for hostel guests to join at an extra fee for bonding and "mingle".
Only the bunks have aircon. Bunk floors have no tiles. Toilets and shower cubicles are in very bad condition. Recommend to bring a pair of slippers. Only two small basins for brushing teeth. Flight of stairs to the reception so those with bulky luggage should take note. Nothing much to see or do in the Highstreet area so maybe the Chinatown branch is better.

very friendly staff, the location was nice and the cafe just down was amazing.
I had problem with my single “box” room because it was smelling humidity very badly. So they show me an other room but it was exactly the same! in few hours all my clothes were smelling so bad. I paid for 4 nights and wanted to cancelled my stay after my first night , but they never manage to give me the money back! So it wasn’t a very nice experience … unfortunately because the staff was very nice !

Overall it's a bit dark but that's the style of the place.
No hook nor shelf in the shower
Pantry look messy and dirty
Swimming pool can be used at night. It's very loud for the rooms right above the swimming pool.
