About this apartment rental
This is a recently constructed unit (2014) built over a garage in a very central neighborhood of San Diego and is minutes away from most of San Diego's major attraction. A highlight is the roof top deck used for brunches and fireworks views
The home is part of three units on the property. The previous garage was removed and rebuilt with unit on the top. The other two units are also rented out to Airbnb guests.
The space is made up of a flexible floor plan that can see the family room turned into a separate bedroom via an opaque sliding glass door.
What makes this property unique is it's recent construction and roof top deck with impressive views of The Presidio of San Diego - a historic fort established in 1769 by Gaspar de Portola, leader of the first European land exploration of Alta California. It was the first permanent European settlement on the Pacific Coast of the United States.
During summers, the view of the Sea World fireworks show is unbeatable!
The space is made up of two bedrooms (one with a king sized bed and the other with a queen sized bed) and a third room that acts as both a family / TV room but can double as a bedroom. the couch is a sleeper can substitute for a full sized bed.
Guess access is controlled by an electronic lock that uses a pin number that is provided to the guess upon arrival. Guests will have access to the roof top deck and backyard bbq'ing area.
The host can be an interactive as the guests desire. Upon arrival, the if the host is available he generally will try to meet the guests to welcome them. From time to time he is unable to meet them and when this occurs the guests are free to enter the house immediately up on arrival.
The little known name of this small neighborhood just south of the University of San Diego is called Silver Terrace. It is a very centrally located one just minutes from numerous highly popular destinations such as: Sea World, Mission Bay Park, Mission Beach, Old Town, Downtown, Fashion Valley Mall and La Jolla. Within a 10 minute walk you'll be within range of a trolley stop, multiple coffee shops, brewery tasting room, numerous restaurants, and a YMCA.
Morena Vista Trolley stop is located within a 5-minute walk from the house. From there, it's possible to go to Little Italy, the Gaslamp District, Fashion Valley, Qualcomm Stadium, and even further east out to SDSU.
For longer term stays that require the use of laundry services, the host will provide the washer and dryer free of charge.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this location. We appreciate the quiet neighborhood and convenient location. The unit is a good size for us and having a kitchen is a plus. The manager is communicative and attentive.

The house was basic but worked for us, the location was perfect so close to everything and where we needed to be everyday! The house cleaner was such a wonderful person, and the neighbors were amazing as well.

We loved staying here. We were able to check in a little early. When we checked in though, there were a few things that weren’t clean, but were easy enough to clean on our own though. I don’t know if it was because we rushed the cleaners or if they just forgot those few things. Jimmy, the owner, was excellent to communicate with us. The only real problem was the pull out sofa. It was very small and not very comfortable or clean. But we just went to Target and grabbed an air bed. Just make sure to lock up when you leave. Thanks so much for a great stay!

We were in San Diego for a birthday trip to the Zoo. This was a perfect place to stay! Nice and quiet, clean and plenty of space!

Nice house in a good location. Quiet neighborhood. But don't plan on doing much cooking as the kitchen is very minimally stocked. There are only 4 chairs for a unit that sleeps 6 and barely enough dishes (plan on washing them after every meal). They could also use some scissors, a cheese grater, a baking sheet or casserole dish or some way to cook things in the oven and something for storing leftovers.

The rental was quiet and seemed to be in a safe neighborhood. Outdoor seating was a plus. Never had any issues with parking or the shared laundry area. Owner quickly responsive to any communication.

This was a funny coincidence. My husband and I have stayed at this area before. But in the bigger house while we were on our honeymoon. I pull up to the property and I’m like oh my goodness this is the house I’ve stayed at in the past. They house we stayed at was just as wonderful. The property manager was on it. Just in case I needed to have a question answered. I truly appreciate them and 100% will be using this property in the future. I recommend this place.

Great host, very responsive. The location was perfect for our visit. If ever in the area again i would definitely try to get the property for our lodging.

Stay was fine, but we had six adults and there were only three bath towels. We requested more towels and the property manager responded with more towels the next day, but it was after noon. Bed pillows were pretty flat. Other than that, it was very quiet location and easily accessible to the freeway and sights, etc… A good stay.

This was a lovely property. It was quiet and very close to USD as we were checking our daughter in. The rooms were comfortable and the balcony and rooftop were great places for drinking coffee in the morning and sipping a drink at night. Washer and dryer were great to have as well. Parking was easy and the location couldn't be better. Will stay here again!

Very clean little apartment with the basics. We cooked a bit of breakfast and found what we needed. The rooftop was good for watching fireworks but the table was quite dirty and no rags to clean it with. I feel the price is right for what it is.

This house is in a perfect location, close to San Diego attractions, the airport and the beach, in a very quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed the outdoor seating (the weather was a little chilly but I took full advantage of the outside). It is very affordable which was a huge plus. I enjoyed the fact that there were three separate sleeping areas as I had taken my adult daughter and my 17year old son on vacation. It was very clean, with plenty of towels and blankets. This was my first time ever staying at a VRBO and I will definitely do it again. Check in and check out was simple.

SD hidden gem
The parking is ingenious. I have 2 things I worry about. The shower situation and beds. Hot water was there for all 3 of us to shower in the mornings. No one got cold water. Yay! The beds. Holy moly the beds. So good we’re buying some for our house! This house is cute and comfortable. The rooftop patio was awesome! Great place, great host. Highly recommend!

Great Little House
The home was clean and conveniently situated close to Old Town and SeaWorld. I misread the listing and thought there were more beds than there were, but we made it work just fine and it was very comfortable! Thanks!
