the cottage on the water was perfect for some quiet r&r. the host goes above and beyond - provided paper products, coffee and many other products that were not expected. loved kayaking the pristine pond - caught my first pickerel and some very hefty bass. Our stay could not have gone better. will definitely be returning

This was our 4th time staying here, first with a kid, we enjoyed the grill, hammocks, kayaks, and of course the view from the two decks.

This was our second stay and it did not disappoint! Beautiful, clean, comfortable home situated directly on the lake. Host was very kind and communicative. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a lovely time at Jim's home, which sits right on this lake and is also near lots of great hiking. Small smallmouth bass and pickerel are easily caught from Jim's dock and even more easily when fishing from Jim's canoe. There may be bigger fish in there, but I can only attest to the plentifulness of the 12-inch smallmouths and pickerel. Jim communicates quickly and clearly, and we would love to come back.

We really enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding areas. The cottage was decorated beautifully. The views of the pond were spectacular. We really enjoyed fishing from the dock. Caught and released speckled perch, pickerel, yellow perch and largemouth bass. The accommodations were great. The flowers and wine were a great touch.

The Lake Cottage is wonderful, you literally see the lake from every part of the cottage and the outdoor living/relaxing space is great too, gardens with hummingbirds and hammock too.
We did find the stairs from the parking spot to the cottage a bit steep and slippery when wet - there is a railing which is helpful.
Great spot highly recommend

Perfect Birthday Getaway
My husband and I rented this charming house on a lake for 3 nights. When we opened the door we were so happy to see that the pictures on the website (which were great) did not begin to do it justice. The interior is cheerful, clean and very well appointed. Brightly colored fabrics on chairs and the couch and wonderful, warm touches throughout the house . But the view from the house and the 2 decks is what took our breath away. The lake is right there…it is peaceful and beautiful. We were able to relax and take in the calm of being on the water. And we were able to go kyaking and canoeing on the lake. Our friends who have a house in Otis came for a visit and had a wonderful time too. Thank you Jim and Mary for sharing your home and being so responsive to all our inquiries. We can’t wait to come back. Nancy and Larry

Charming comfortable cottage with spectacular view
Very well maintained, beautifully decorated, and above-average amenities. We especially appreciated that the host left a detailed note explaining how everything works and a chilled bottle of wine. A perfect place to relax; a perfect base for sight-seeing.

Peaceful Lake Retreat
We headed to the Berkshires for a long weekend to explore Stockbridge - see the Norman Rockwell Museum and some other sights. We feel in love with the cottage and the peaceful lake. We had a great trip and the only thing we would have changed is to have set aside more time to spend at the lake. The cottage was clean, beautifully decorated, perfectly pretty and relaxing. Would love to return again in the future.

Home away from home
Showing up to the property we were so excited to just be getting away. Then we got inside and saw how comfy the layout was and the amazing views. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The owners were great w communication and they thought of everything you might need. The bed was very comfy, as was the hammock next to the water. Loved the added night time ambiance w the tiki torches in the planters. It was so cool to be able to kayak. My husband and I never have. We are very thankful for our experience and plan on coming back in the future. Wish we stayed longer!!

Clean and fun cottage
My husband and I and our 2 kids ages 5 and 8 stayed here for Labor Day weekend. Pulling up to the cottage we noticed the outside grounds were beautifully landscaped. The inside of the home has great views immediately as you walk in the front door. The cottage was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, even paper plates. The linens were luxurious and the queen bed was very comfortable. Our kids slept in the loft that connects to the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed. They loved the loft. Outside there was a gas grill and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. There were 2 kayaks and a canoe with plenty of life jackets for our use as well. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and poles were even supplied as well. There is no wifi or cable. We have Tmobile for our mobile service and we did not have great service there so we could not use our phones as a Hotspot to watch TV. There was a DVD player with a selection of movies. If you plan to cook, I recommend buying groceries before you get there as the closet place we could find was Big Y in Lee, MA.

Relaxing Getaway
We spent a relaxing and beautiful 3 nights here and to be honest, we should've stayed longer! Beautiful views all around and sun light came in from all directions in the morning. The outdoor area was perfect to sit and watch the sunrise and set. We had everything we needed here and one rainy day we just stayed in and watched movies while the rain pitter-pattered outside. I'm glad they left a bottle of wine because I actually proposed to my now fiance on the patio when we got there :)

Wonderful time at the lake house
Stays for 5 days with my family. Hubby and 11 year old daughter enjoyed the fishing and going on their evening kayak rides. Watching the sunrise in the morning was amazing. I really appreciated the welcome gift and personal note, that was very helpful. I really look forward to staying there again with my family.

Wonderful Waterfront Cottage
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The size is just right for 2 or 3 people and the two decks are really impressive with a variety of chairs, lounges and even a hammock. Great dock out into the very clean pond. Loads of extras including a gas grill, kayaks, a canoe, fishing gear, etc. Will definitely be returning!

Beautiful relaxing cottage with a gorgeous view
My family enjoyed their time in this cottage. The owners kept us up to date on everything. This neighborhood is quiet and we had a lot to do. We did some fishing, kayaking and went hiking in a nearby trail. Would definitely rent this place again.

The pictures do not do justice! Simply amazing!
We had the BEST three days here! The cottage is ABSOLUTELY adorable.. the decor and colors flow so beautifully! They literally have everything you will need (besides your food, of course). It was perfect. You don't need cable when you can fall asleep and wake up to the spectacular view! We did some kayaking and canoeing and it was so peaceful and so perfect. Thank you both again!!! Amazing lakehouse!!

Relaxing Experience
Beautiful place. Just right for a couple or with a kid or two. Great view of lake. Nicely landscaped. Only negative is cottage next door is within 20 feet. Too close if both places are occupied.
