About this house rental
This beautiful 2,650 sq ft home is perfect for fishing, all day family fun, and watching the sunset over the bay. Bay Vista's unique position faces Galveston Bay at the opening of the canal to the bay giving it water frontage views and plenty of space for fishing, and swimming. There is a shaded deck off the main living space that extends out over the boat slip for relaxing in the sun. Please note the boat slip is available to use, but there is no access to the electronic lift. There is no access to the private Terramar Beach Boat Launch
The shaded downstairs features an outside bar that connects to an extra room with a fridge, storage, and a half bath. Multiple wooden swings and lots of seating makes it great for those long days of kids playing in the yard and BBQing. The luxury of outside living is a plus at this one of a kind bay home.
PLEASE NOTE: Cargo lift is NOT available for guest use.
Bay Vista is pet-friendly with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed with a combined weight limit of 50 lbs. There is an additional $100 non-refundable fee per pet. Under no circumstances are puppies under one (1) year of age allowed on the premises.
Yard is fenced in from the road and neighbors, but not fenced on the water side.

We loved our vacay at Bay Vista and all wished we could’ve stayed longer! The house was beautifully decorated, had everything we needed and everything worked! No issues like you usually have at rental homes. We all said we never want to stay at any other beach house but this one. For a family of five with three adult boys, we never felt crowded - I loved that we could all sit at the dining table for dinner. The view was spectacular - and the outdoor seating options were so nice. We will be back for sure! If I had three wishes - I wish there were kayaks to use, wish we could’ve used the lift and wish the bunk beds had been made for us.

We like to get away for spring break every year before we become empty nesters. Hence, we have rented several homes in the Galveston area, including in Boliver. THIS home is, by far, THE BEST and well worth it! While we can't control mother nature and it is often cold in March, this weekend was cool/warm. When the weather is not so great 90% of the time, it is important to have a home that still makes you feel like you are on vacation. THIS home was perfect! It is very well maintained, beautifully decorated, and had plenty of space to enjoy. The kitchen had almost everything a person may need; it was very well thought out. The house was stocked with a ton of games for all ages. The WIFI was great and there were plenty of USB outlets. This home smelled fresh and clean while also being a pet friendly property. The bonus was the downstairs outdoor bar with an extra fridge and plenty of seating. I only wish the weather was nice enough to enjoy it more during our stay. The Gary Greene team was very prompt in responding to any of our questions; check in/out process was very easy, thank you! We look forward to returning and enjoying another week!

This house is exactly as described. Spacious with lots of amenities. My whole family came and beautiful memories were made here. The downstairs area is very well laid out with lots of seating, downstairs fridge and bathroom a plus. The fishing area allowed for several people to fish at the same time. We never found a need to leave the house during our stay as we had everything we needed at the house. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Everyone had such a great time and we will definitely be back.

Photos are very accurate. This is a very spacious property. We caught enough fish there for a family of 12 fish fry! Flounders were great! The place was clean and the property management was thorough and kept in touch. The pool was extremely cloudy and unfiltered, however it was closed the next day so I assume they were having some filter issues.

Property is very clean and the kitchen has everything you can possibly need. We loved the space downstairs and the views were amazing! The fishing was fantastic. We caught sand and speckled trout every night so the kids were very happy. (We brought our own coolers for bait and fish so just be prepared to bring those.)The house itself had very comfortable beds and lots of space inside. We had a wonderful time!

This property was great for our family. We had 13 people stay at this house and it was very accommodating. The property had everything we needed. It rained part of the time we were there and there is a covered area with a bar that was great. The water views were amazing as well as the sunsets. Definitely would rent again.

Beautiful home on a fantastic piece of property! Plenty of space and pictures didn’t do it justice. Rental/check-in/check-out was a breeze. Kitchen was very well stocked with QUALITY pots, pans, coffee maker etc etc. A/C will get plenty cold quickly. Downstairs bar area was excellent with separate frig and freezer and perfect view of the bay and little beach area across the canal. We will be coming back….I only hope it stays on the rental market!

Had a great stay at Bay Vista. This is our second time to book this place as we liked the location and my family likes to fish. The dishwasher soap dispenser does not open though, so the soap was still solid after the cycle was done. Had to repeat the wash and placed the soap on the upper door rack, which worked. For this I gave it a 4 star. Otherwise, I'd still recommend this place. There was 14 of us. 4 families of my siblings. We had great bonding moments during our Thanksgiving week. My son caught a Gar fish and that was probably the highlight of the day as far as the kids go. We did release the Gar. Just hope that they would install more lights for night fishing.

What a great place and location. Check in was easy and the communication was great! We had a great time in Galveston. Bay Vista was perfect for our group. It was well organized and we loved the location. Every year at this time our group rents a place and so far this was this best. Will definitely be back.

Although we had a cold stay with white skies and rain, it was such a beautiful spot. The house is huge and very well laid out. The enclosed balcony, views and the large kitchen were highlights. My hubby caught a large trout the first night off the dock which fed us for a few nights! We also rented a kayak through Ricks beach rental and paid the extra for drop off and pick up. One of our favorite stays we’ve had in Galveston.

Loved the sunrise & sunsets. The fishing off the property was awesome. Plenty of room for people to maneuver around. We had a three year old & 6 month triplets along with 5 adults in our group. Will definitely book again.
The only downside was no dumb waiter to help bring things up to the house level.

This house was really great for our family to enjoy a week on the west end of Galveston Island. The house is beautiful and well equipped and the location is excellent for enjoying all the activities of fishing, boating, kayaking, and crabbing. The beach is a 5 minute drive away. The management company was excellent. Communication with them was clear and prompt, the house was very clean when we arrived, and everything was in good working order. This is a house that we will rent again.

Beautiful home on the bay
We spent a long weekend at Bay Vista and could not have been happier. The views over the bay are beautiful and there was a great breeze. The furnishings are new and really comfortable and stylish. The house was clean, well stocked and organized, with helpful labels in the kitchen. We fished off the dock and enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (rented the equipment). Also did wade fishing across the channel. The channel across from the home was a gathering point for many boats over the weekend, people anchored there and were partying in the afternoon; it was pretty noisy but we did not mind. Wonderful property - would definitely stay here again.

Best Galveston family rental we've made; fun for us grandparents, our kids, and their kids. Too little time (2 nights) for all the features this home provides. Great fishing from the shore! We'll be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Total relaxation
The home was spacious, clean and very homey. Kayaking and fishing was outstanding. Me and my wife and our 4 boys stayed (ages 8, 13, 11 and 22). We were there 5 days and it felt like paradise. They called the area across the home their private beach and spent time there cast netting, fishing, and collecting sea creatures while mom and dad fished, ate and lounged. Will definitely visit again..

Amazing Property
The pictures did not do this place justice. It appears to be recently updated with new floors, furniture, beds, bedding, etc. The location of this home was ideal. Right on the edge of the cove with killer views and easy swim to small beach across the canal for the kids. We had 12 people from adults to infants and there was plenty of room for everyone. Outdoor sitting area/bar was a great gathering space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were very nice, my only complaint would be sufficient hooks or towel bars for upstairs. Two rooms that are able to hold approximately 6-8 people, but only one towel bar and one hook in bathroom. Super close drive to public beach - less than 2 minutes and you’re there. We would gladly stay here again! Management company was very helpful in answering questions prior to our arrival.

Bay Vista exceeded our expectations! It was a beautiful property in the perfect location. We had 14 people in our group and there was plenty of space for us. The highlight for my boys was catching a 5 foot alligator gar right of the deck! I highly recommend Bay Vista!

Fun house
It was a great house to stay in. We all had fun. We did some fishing and caught crabs!! There were 4 families (brother’s and sister’s)14 people! We all were able to fit in without feeling cramped. The kitchen was well equipped. My family all saw each other again on Thanksgiving. My brother in law reported to me that he had insect bites (bed bugs) after he slept in the bunkbed room, I.e. bed closest to the window. He showed me his insect bites. It looked awful. You may need to do some pest control or replace the mattresses in the bunk Bed room. If it wasn’t for this, I would’ve given it a 4-5 star.

Fishing Weekend
This was a fishing weekend that was planned months in advance but was spoiled due to incompetence by either the maintenance, management and or property owners by misplacing and or losing the key for the private boat launch area!

We only had to bring dish soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, tissue, Lysol, disinfectant wipes, personal soap, Toiletries, OFF sprayThe pictures of this place NEED to be updated, this place in reality was BEAUTIFUL. The kitchen had dishes of ALL kinds, utensils for EVERY possible need including beer and wine openers, quality pots and pans, blenders, the side by side Refrigerator made its own ice. There were Board games, adult games, novels for pleasure reading, A monster retro box for either charging your phone or blue tooth your music for the group and the sound was awesome. There was excess to Roku streaming just sign in with an activation code from your phone first. There was access to free WIFI as well. There were extra blankets, sheets, pillow slips, ceiling fans but floor fans as well, hair blow dryer. In the master bedroom there was an extra queen mattress we used for our little ones, a Jacuzzi tub, there were afternoons i took naps with the porch door open as the fresh air rushed the room. The laundry room had an ironing board, an iron, hampers and laundry baskets. Downstairs, the MEN in the group wanted for NOTHING except bait, the man cave had fishing rods, a restroom, neon lights, radio, a grill (which the guys used for chicken and smores for the kids), there was beanbag toss, tv, a refrigerator rocking chairs instead of swings plenty of sitting area, which the guys used to serve the whole group breakfast complete with table covers baskets and trays to take the food downstairs with napkins and utensils all which belonged to the house. We swam or raft friends and kids to the other side of the canal where we picked seashells galore, picked hermit crabs, spotted sting rays and cranes, and had lunch on the sand there. We hung out there with a miniature music box and watched the kids play for what felt like hours. The canal is probably no more then 6ft deep, yup one of our guys tried that out too! the bay was probably deeper but we have to say we regretted not renting a boat for that part. Our fellas caught fish ALL DAY AND NIGHT. The calm and tranquility that this beautiful beach house offered my group was the perfect remedy for reminding us of the work God is doing behind the scenes in a world that seemed to have lost its faith. We thanked our Heavenly Father daily for this was EXACTLY what we needed. Take plenty of pictures when the sun sets and enjoy the silence of the bay early in the morning off the pier! Bonus!

My favorite VRBO property in Galveston so far!!!!
Great location with awesome sunset views over West bay. Fished from our kayaks and had great success. Loved fishing under the lights from dock and bulkhead. Highly recommend. Will be coming back.
