As we arrived the fire was going and it felt warm and cosy. The cottage has been very nicely decorated . Walking distance to the village shops and cafe. KENYA cottage is definitely a good place to stay to explore all the valley has to offer.
I would definitely recommend staying at Kenya cottage

Deloraine is centrally located to most places and things that we wanted to see in the North of Tassie. Kenya cottage was a fantastic place to stay in Deloraine...easy to find, warm and inviting with a fire if needed, and filled with touches that just made it feel like home.

We loved Kenya Cottage from the moment we saw it and didn't want to leave. So much character. In early spring, the garden is gorgeous as well. Walking distance in to Deloraine's main street and down to the river for a stroll. Not far to drive to great bushwalks. Our only gripes were that the beds are quite hard and the heating isn't great if you don't want to light the fire for whatever reason (eg getting in a bit late, or going out in the evening). I suggest installing a heat pump. Also, I'd hate to see this lovely old house burn down!

Great base to visit the area and go for walks
It had everything you need and more. The hosts have thought of everything and give back to the visitors. Little details including the naughty cows made it a fun place to stay.

Comfortable base for exploring Deloraine & surrounds
We spent a lovely week and a half based at the very comfortable Kenya cottage. Is it ideally situated within easy walking distance of the Main Street of Deloraine and has Hells Gate gin distillery just down the road. The surrounding area has lots of beautiful walks and places to explore. We spent many occasions sitting on the veranda enjoying the views of the town and Great Western Tiers.

Cosy mid-week get away
We found Kenya cottage to be a delightful warm and cosy mid-week get away. Our first chance after Covid 19 lockdown to get together with our son after separation. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the next door dogs, a short walk via the river and bridge into town, delicious evening meals at Hotels, chatting with friendly local shop owners and extended our travel to Devonport and Uliverstone. It was a most enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning another time. Thanks also for the hearty breakfast supplies!

Lovely Place to relax
Generous hosts, cosy house - though historic home was able to keep warm with lovely wood heater and other heaters for individual rooms. Nicely decorated with some quirks

Kenya Cottage
A fantastic holiday in a beautiful house. I collected the key as arranged and let myself in to find the log fire burning and a beautiful welcome basket of goodies which meant I didn’t need to do shopping until the next day. I highly recommend Kenya Cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a beautiful town with great scenery and easy access to other towns and cities. The local hotel also has Guinness on tap and open log fires which is great for relaxing with a good book.

Idyllic Country Cottage
This magnificent, quaint and dreamy little cottage in Deloraine was an absolute delight! We could have stayed a week — or longer!
Equipped with everything you could possibly need (our favourite was the fireplace in the comfiest lounge room ever with books and excellent movie selection and books galore) and full of charm and character. Brilliant location, neat as a pin, easy ‘check in and out’ procedure. The views out to the mountain allow for spectacular sunset and the cottage garden is a child’s dream come true.
And the hearty breakfast basket is the icing on an already amazing cake.
Highly recommend.

Quaint, good location
Pleasant stay, walking distance to downtown; clean, quaint house. The garden needs some cleanup; it has the potential to be very charming. I love to garden, so pulled a few weeds & dead flora.

Great stay and nice cosy cottage
The Cottage was well catered for our family of 6, including young kids. It has this second home feeling. The property was very clean and well located to explore Deloraine, Launceston, cradle mountain and the area. We were welcomed with a very generous hamper with everything for a fantastic breakfast for our 4 days there! It was an early Christmas present. Alex was very responsive and helpful. There were plenty of recommandations and tips in the house. We loved our stay there and would consider going back again.
