We had 16 folks staying 4 nights to celebrate a birthday. The house was a great place to relax and slow down. Maurice and Jackie were great and put on a lobster feed for us as well. The weather was hot but the house stayed cool with the breeze up on the hill. There is lots of space to have time together and space to be alone. It was a great trip

The owner is very nice and the grounds are spacious for kids and family to run around and play. The setting is beautiful with great views. We had plenty of room inside. The kitchen is more like a commercial , one with big stoves, double sinks and lots of pots and pans .
I feel that I must point out that the house is from 1900 or so.The bathrooms are functional but old fashioned. You must stagger showers so hot water holds up. Windows either don’t open and when they do many times no screen so bugs get in. The barn is fun with pool table and bar .
If you’re looking for plenty of room, you will get it. If you are looking for modern not so much.

We gathered 3 generations for a long weekend stay. The house had more than enough room for all 17 of us, and the barn with the pool table and fooze ball tables gave us a place to gather when the littlest ones napped. Less than 15 minutes drive to grocery stores and even shorter drives to the beach, Islesboro Ferry, and Camden State Patk, there's plenty to do locally.
The kitchen has all the gadgets you could possibly need- we even found a pastry cutter! With two stoves and a grill, cooking even for a large crowd is simple.
Some things we did to make things easier- drinks were kept in coolers on ice to free up fridge room, we set up two long tables in the dining room to enable family dining.

We had a great time at the house and Maurice was very friendly.

There were 24 of us from 5 months to 74 years. We had plenty of room to spread out and were very comfortable. Nice views and the barn and grounds were fun for all ages. Easy to get to Camden and Belfast. The plumbing could use updating

The owners are amazing. Anything you needed, they were accommodating. Maurice took my nephew out on his boat and showed him how to catch lobsters and crabs. The house has so much space, we had thirteen kids, ranging from 1 year to 17 year old and never felt like we were smothered. The only downfall was limited hot water, which limited the amount of people that could shower at once. We just staggered the bathing and it worked out.

Owners were very nice people and provided copious amounts of fire wood for the fire pit. 200 year old house has a lot of charm; Beds were comfortable. Porch was the best place to hang out and read a book or chat with the family/friends. Kids enjoyed the barn and corn hole game. We were surprise to find freezer door handle broken off, showers run cold after only 3 of the 11 of us took hot showers, apparently needs a larger hot water heater or an additional one all. No dishwasher in the kitchen was a surprise but we have been spoiled with very new homes on our typical summer vacation rentals. Wi-fi was not good enough to effectively VPN into work network unfortunately but worked fine to surf the net.

We are a 3 generation family with 8 kids under the age of 13, 8 adults, and 2 dogs. The house was more than enough room for our group. We loved the large yard and the barn with foosball, pool table, and a nice portable sound system for an evening dance party. The property also has a nice fire pit with plenty of seating around it. The owner lives nearby and was very responsive to our needs and questions. All things considered, our group loved the house and property.

The house is unique with lots of character. Great place for a large family reunion. Especially enjoyed the outside barn. Spent many evenings outside playing pool or sitting by the campfire. Great location being situated near many quaint Maine towns.

We had a wonderful time here for our one-week family gathering. We had 9 adults and three kids plus a dog. There was lots of room, everything was very clean, and the communication with the (on property) hosts was excellent. The kitchen has more than you could ever need to cook for a large group. We were very close to a number of towns including Camden and for those that want a workout option, we were half a mile from a place with great equipment available to drop ins.

Maurice is a excellent host!

The views were spectacular, the best of the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. Hiking nearby, the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, and Camden shore nearby. Such a perfect place to visit! The house was old fashioned, built in 1800, so not a modern place at all but just what we wanted. It was just perfect for our big family gathering.

The barn is a great space for parties. The view to mountain side from the porch is stunning especially in a little cloudy day. The kitchen and bathrooms need updates but we enjoyed the stay overall

We needed to fit 22 people in one place, most of which were teenagers. This place was perfect for that. The place is old and has it's fair share of quirks, but once you get over that part it is a great place to stay. The bathrooms are super old and the showers are interesting to say the least. You certainly get used to them, but this is not modern day showers by any means. The hot and cold water also run separately, so when showering be sure you turn the hot water all the way off first or you will burn yourself (as a few of us learned the hard way). Maurice was great to work with, took some of our kids fishing with him, provided wood for fires, and made an excellent lobster boil! Definitely memories we will never forget. The barn was probably our favorite part (besides the view of course) and we played a lot of yard games on the big spacious lawn. Thanks for the memories Maurice!

Very good for big groups with kids. The house is old and old fashioned. Not very comfortable, not hot water for everybody, no dishwasher but perfect for a summer weekend with friends. The party place is amazing for everybody, nothing to do except put some music!

We visited Mount N Sea for my in-laws 50th anniversary celebration. We were a group of adults and energetic children totaling 14. The property had ample space for all of us and the barn was a perfect venue for a lobster bake and dance party followed by s’mores by the fire. The house porch with water views was also a hit for afternoon cocktails, as well as breakfast. Thank you Maurice and Jackie for your hospitality!

We rented Mount n’ Sea for our college soccer team for preseason. Maurice and Jackie were wonderful hosts. The house had enough bedrooms to accommodate all 21 of us with plenty of room to spare. Given our need to have a playing surface, Maurice went above and beyond laying Astroturf out with small goals and mowing the front of the house to a short level for an easy training facility. We had a small issue with the toilet And Maurice was the first one there to fix it. The massive kitchen allowed our players to cook multiple nights for our cook-off challenge. The massive front porch also lend it self perfectly to watch the fog coming from the sea. The location is perfectly situated between Camden and Belfast and Lincolnville beach is less than a 5 minute drive down the road. I also Highly recommend taking a short drive to Dot’s Café. They’re gluten-free options and coffee are amazing in the morning. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our trip, we will definitely be back. Maurice and Jackie thank you for your hospitality.

We (a group of very close friends) stayed at this place for 3 nights to host high school graduation for our kids. It has a big and beautiful yard. Kids enjoyed to play Frisbee and adults take pictures. We all love to sit around campfire to talk. We had a great time. The owners, Maurice and Jackie, are very friendly and nice people.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Maurice and Jackie were great hosts. The setting is amazing with beaches, mountain trails, scenic vistas, restaurants and shopping nearby. We were able to go sea and river kayaking and many of us spent time at Camden Hills State Park, Acadia National Park and local beaches. We spent hours sitting in the rocking chairs on the expansive front porch enjoying each othets’ company and the amazing views. There is a great barn in the back yard that’s been converted to an indoor game room and a covered seating area where all 24 of us could sit to eat meals together. We all enjoyed a great lobster roast which Maurice and Jackie cooked and served. The yard is huge, and Maurice and Jackie provided lots of lawn games. The kids had plenty of room to run around. There is also a huge fire ring out back, with firewood provided. The house is rustic and has its quirks. It was an extremely hot and humid week and not all windows open. There are limited electrical outlets, so it was a challenge to keep cool but we used multiple extension cords to set up fans in each bedroom. There is a large dining area off of the kitchen that would be a wonderful place to eat in cooler weather, as the windows don’t open. The living room IS air conditioned. We made a decision to use bottled water rather than the tap water. If you don’t need the luxuries of a modern home, this could be the place for you!!!
