An amazing getaway on Bruny
We had an amazing time and the Bruny Island lodge for four nights over the New Year period. Ben was incredibly helpful as a host and was very accommodating with all the uncertainty that came with COVID. The place itself was exactly as shown in the pictures with everything that we needed.
The only thing that could have been improved slightly was some additional details in the guest information pack around the use of some of the amenities. I ended up calling Ben to get some guidance on some of these things, but I think it would improve the experience significantly if these were included in the guest compendium. Things that I can think of were
- What happens if pilot in hot water systems goes out (turn generator off/on again).
- Where to find the pilot light in the gas oven.
- The wifi network is not available for internet use.
- Using the turbo cool function on the fridge on arrival, and when turning the generator back on in the morning.
- Turning the ice machine off during the evening to reduce noise.
Other than that, there is little else that I would fault this place on. Will 100% be returning again!
