What a nice place to stay. Centrally located on the Cape, nice restaurants near by. We went in November. Quiet neighborhood. Beach is fun to walk and watch the seagulls open clams. Not a beach to sit on but you can easily swim at high tide and nice bay to Kayak in. True to description and owner terrific.

The property was situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Comfortable (even cool evenings) in June with no AC! Out back was Barnstable bay. Beachcombing at low tide was an experience, with so much to see. Friendly neighbors shared their recommendations. You are surrounded with history back to the 1600s. Combined with the lush growth, it was an adventure around every corner. Located about 60 miles from Boston, you could get there in 1...to 2 hours depending on traffic...

Beautiful view, lovely and clean property, close to Barnstable village. We had a wonderful stay.
10.0 / 10.0
The property was as it was listed. A very clean nicely decorated house in a wonderful quiet neighborhood in Barnstable. The small village of Barnstable had a couple of nice restaurants and a small market that came in handy. We were within driving distance of many nice public beaches. We drove to Provincetown for a day. Another day we took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Also took a nicely guided catamaran tour from Hyannis Port. There were also a couple of museums nearby. We went to the Maritime Museum.
The house was very well stocked with towels, bed linens, detergent, paper towels- a long list. The upstairs area was where we spent some time on the deck in the mornings drinking coffee and taking in the view and ocean air.
Again, the house is very nice and tucked away in a very quiet area. The only recommendation we have is that the street sign be easier to see. It is on a tree and kind of blends in with the tree. We almost ended up in the neighbor's driveway which we were told to be careful not to do.
Please just keep in mind that this property is not for you if want total beach front (there is a house in front of this one) and if you want to go to walk on the beach. There is not a beach to walk on. You have to walk partially through a neighbor's yard to get to a very small area directly on the beach. We took chairs a couple of times but could not really find a nice place to sit on the beach. We did enjoy time at public beaches nearby.
All of this to say, it is a lovely house in a lovely area. Shannon, our host, was so helpful and responded to our questions immediately.

Gorgeous view
We had a wonderful stay at this nicely decorated Beach house.
The views were great. Millway beach was a favorite as well as Sandy Neck Beach. Mattakeese restaurant was delicious for lunch and dinner. Lobster risotto was amazing.
The master bed was very comfortable. I was really happy to see ceiling fans in every room. They did a great job moving the air around.
Shannon was informative on where to go and what to do.
The house was clean and the views of sunsets is fantastic.
Great place you should stay here!
Thank you Shannon for sharing your house with us.

Family retreat for me and my son
This was one of the most enjoyable stays ever. It was peaceful and refreshing. Just what was needed to help me and my son relax and regain our focus. It helped bring my son and I closer together. The place was beautiful and the views of the water from the house breathtaking, especially at high tide. It was just like the pictures. Shannon was awesome. She was always there when we needed her help. The house is centrally located from anything we needed. The most difficult thing about our trip was that we didn't want to leave. We will definitely stay here again.

Great House and Great View
This house was super cozy and bright with an amazing view of the ocean. Loved the kitchen/living area- so bright and welcoming.
The bedrooms are really comfortable- slept quite well. The house has everything you'd need on your getaway.
The little beach in front of the house has a lot of shells on it and going at low tide was great for beach combing!
Really enjoyed my time here.

Great location and nice house
My extended family visited the cape over the holidays to be near my brother and his family for Christmas. The house was perfect for our small group - a beautiful relaxing view, a well stocked kitchen, and just a short walk to the very cute Barnstable village. We look forward to staying again soon!

Wonderful Vacation Rental!
This house lived up to its promise of relaxation and provided our family with a wonderful vacation. The view of the water never got old and made it so you never felt stir crazy when hanging out inside the house. The reverse layout with all three bedrooms downstairs was perfect for our family. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and our girls each slept in a pack-and-play in the other 2 rooms. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and safe. Check in/out was easy. We give this property a 10/10!!

The rental is as clean as the pictures and in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood close to downtown. We had everything we needed and Shannon was very responsive. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Excellent property
Very well equipped, nice views from upper floor, clean comfortable seating areas, good wifi connection, convenient tv viewing., quiet neighborhood. Near a walkable beach, and convenient to downtown markets and restaurants.
Guest bedroom mattress should probably be replaced, and shower floors should have some sort of traction stick ons. Instructions on use of heating system would be helpful, and dryer vents may need cleaning to speed heating cycles. Maneuvering from upper floor with a step-down to steep stairway was difficult for the seniors in the group since there is no color differentiation in the rug color. We placed coasters on the floor to help with that.

Very quiet and relaxing. Ate every night at a different area restaurant. The house had all of the staples and linens needed. The house was bright and cheerful.

Great location. The town of Barnstable is quaint with nice restaurants for breakfast and dinner.
The house has everything you need. I was surprised to find shampoo, soaps, hair dryer, spices for cooking, etc. Next time I won't bring so much. Sunsets are beautiful.

1st Post-Vaccination Dream Vacation!
My stay at 91 Salten Point was my first vacation in over a year - post Covid vaccination. Shannon, the owner, was easy to deal with and no detail is left out. The home sits back from the bay and is a tranquil setting for anyone looking to avoid the mayhem of traditional Cape crowds.

Light-Filled & Lovely
The view of the water is gorgeous and calming and the living space is light and airy. Add that to the sound of the sea birds, the smell of the salty air and being able to walk out to the water and we definitely felt like we were on vacation. To be clear this is not a sandy beach, so don't expect that. But it is a treat to have access to the shore line, and putting your beach chair out and watching the sunset for happy hour cannot be matched. The house is well equipped and very pleasant to be in, and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. My family and I - husband and three teens - loved occupying this space for a week. Highly recommend!

Beautiful
Our stay at Shannon’s beautiful cottage was PERFECT. Shannon was very responsive and detailed and the house had everything we needed to support a great vacation. Shannon gave us great recommendations for kid friendly activities as well as things to do in the “off season”. We cannot wait to come back to visit cape cod and will always return to Shannon’s rental if given the chance.

Great Escape!
We had a wonderful week in Barnstable. I knew it would be great from the communication with Shannon even before we booked. We decided to spend a week away for a change of scenery, some relaxing and to have a place to cook Thanksgiving (our kitchen is being remodeled). This place did not disappoint. I felt relaxed from the moment I walked in. 2-3 of us worked virtually in this space, and the WiFi was great. The property was clean and had almost anything we could have needed. Not having to pack sheets and towels was a bonus! Thank you Shannon! I hope we will return.

Dollhouse overlooking the water
We had a wonderful week at this lovely little home. The house was clean and well stocked. The view is amazing and we easily carried our kayaks to the water for some wonderful kayaking trips. The beach is very rocky and mucky at low tide but the sunsets are the best. You have access to many beaches in the area if you want a sandy beach. The master bedroom is great but the middle queen bedroom is small with only one window, so our friends opted to stay in the twin bedroom with more windows and better breezes. Since the house is on the water and no AC it does get humid and damp, typical for the Cape. However there are ceiling fans and lots of shaded windows. It would be helpful if there were shades on the windows near the table since the sun beats in there. However it was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return in the future.

Lovely home in ideal location.
We enjoyed our week at this lovely Barnstable property in a beautiful neighborhood within easy walking distance from the village and Millway beach on the Barnstable Harbor. The bedrooms, sitting area, and kitchen were in excellent condition and made for a comfortable and well-equipped stay. The beach pass was key and gave excellent access to harbor, bay, and Nantucket Sound beaches depending on crowds and our mood. The water access on the property was nice for sunsets, fishing, and clamming ... but not really a "beach" per se. The pass to the Barnstable beaches more than made up for it, but worth mentioning. Owner was as communicative, responsive, and helpful as any VRBO owner we have ever experienced. Thank you, Shannon!

Lovely relaxing home and stay
What a lovely little home, we ended up spending much of our time in the home and on the beach beside the property. We cooked in every night (3 of them) and the kitchen was really well stocked for cooking, many rentals do not have enough actual cooking items but this home definitely did. And then in the evening we watched a movie every night.
It was such a relaxing stay, truly wonderful.
We walked into town one evening too and it was such a pleasure to stroll in, have a beer and then stroll home again for dinner.
the location is perfect, it is not too close to the madness of Hyannis but close enough should you want to go. The village of Barnstable is lovely with a small market grocery store that had everything you need, and a lovely coffee shop that we didn't discover until the last day and wish we had stopped in earlier.
Shannon was a great host and helped us with everything we need but otherwise left us to ourselves.
High recommend! Should we return to the Cape, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, VERY comfy beds.

Barnstable stay
The property is in great condition and maintained very well. It is close to the bay and my kids enjoyed skipping rocks on the water.
About a 15 minute walk to Barnstable, though main areas were a car trip away.
Shannon was incredibly response and nice to speak with.
The main reason for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is that we felt that the beach would be more of a beach, whereas is was more like a muddier lake shore. Definitely fun for skipping rocks, though I would not have gone swimming in it or set myself up to spend the day on the beach. The better sandy beach is about a 30 minute walk or short drive away.
In addition, there is a lot of laundry to do at the end of the stay for the house, and the machines are very small so it takes quite a bit of time to get it all done.
Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful trip away by the cape.

Very comfortable place to stay. Amazing view right out the back window. Close to small village of Barnstable that meets all your basic needs. Host was very easy to work with and accommodating. Tons of beaches nearby - our favorites were Dowses and Sandy Neck.

Amazing Waterfront Location
We absolutely enjoyed our time at this location. Not only the property is gorgeous and clean, but it's waterfront location is fantastic. The property description is very accurate. This was our first time to Cape Cod; however, Shannon made it very enjoyable with loads of info about restaurants, boat rentals, etc. She was always reachable for any queries and even shared local favorites with us.
We had a great time and would love to return soon. Thanks!
