Columbine Cottage
We booked the cottage because it was close to the beach and the garden secure for 2 dogs. The cottage is very pretty and the garden absolutely perfect. The conservatory is excellent for the dogs and a lovely area to sit when it got a bit chilly. However we were very disappointed about the cleanliness of the cottage. The oven has not had a deep clean in ages and contained 2 rusty baking sheets, the dishwasher has rust on the baskets and washing machine although looking brand new had a blocked soap dispenser drawer. The freezer under the stairs is in a desperate need of defrosting as the freezer compartment is full of ice and random backs of frozen veg and chips. I had to clean the kitchen before we used it.
The bedding in the main room and a dirt marked bottom sheet and no pillow protecters on the pillows.
I did pop into the Burnham Market office to inform them of my concerns and they were going to look into it.
So, the cottage itself was perfect for our holiday , it just needs a deep clean and a bit of love.

Lovely location and garden. Some attention needed
We love this cottage. Only 2 light bulbs out of 5 lounge. Had to swap from bedroom. 3 logs, not a basket. Only 1 light working in conservatory. Broken chair in conservatory.
Warm, well equipped, beautiful garden.
Brilliant location.

Lovely location and garden.
This was a lovely warm cottage with a beautifully enclosed and quiet garden, excellent for our little dog. Only a short walk to the beach where we were lucky enough to view some outstanding November sunsets.

Perfect location
We had a fabulous week in this lovely cottage, perfectly located to walk to the beautiful dunes and sea, and a very short walk to the excellent White Horse pub. Also within easy access of other beautiful surrounding villages and beaches.
The cottage is well equipped and furnished with everything you could possible need. The garden is beautiful, private and very secure. The "pod" was fantastic and surprisingly cool in a very hot week in July.
The only fault was the cleanliness; this was supposed to have been a Covid "deep clean" - I had to clean the fridge and the oven before using, the microwave was filthy but we never used it. We vacuum cleaned the cereal up under the table and got rid of a lot of cobwebs. The cleaner had lost the key, which was swiftly rectified and a spare delivered by her manager who we then had to ask to clean the washing/toilet facilities for the pod as it was not pleasant.
All this said, once the cleaning had been rectified, we did have a lovely week and would like to return - as long as the cleaning regime is tightened.

Excellent location and lovely secure garden
Had a great stay with some family and my 2 dogs. Cottage is well equipped, has a fantastic location within walking distance of the beach and a decent pub. The garden is a good size and secure. Off road parking for three cars was very useful. Have booked for next year already.

Kitchen needs some replacements
Kitchen equipment needs addressing. Dishwasher needs replacing, always left a gritty feel to the pots, never washed them all, some had to be rewashed every time, top rack rail broken, very difficult to move in and out. Oven needs cleaning, horrible smell and smoke every time we tried to use it. Knife block and all utensils need replacing, both can openers broken, knives blunt, utensils, old, tided and mismatched. No bowl in the main kitchen sink. Both kitchen and utility taps leak from there fittings. Central heating probably full of air as some of the radiators only got warm at the bottom and never the top.
Disappointed...

Lovely cottage in perfect location
Very comfortable and well kept cottage in a wonderful location near the sea. The large, enclosed garden was a bonus for our dog. Five minutes walk to a very friendly pub with good food.

Lovely holiday cottage
We had a most relaxing holiday with our dogs at this lovely property. It’s very well equipped. The amazing beach is just a short walk away. Although at first the parking looked limited we got 3 cars parked behind the house very easily.

Autumn in Norfolk
Columbine Cottage is absolutely beautiful. We had a fantastic few days, and have already booked another stay in March.
The staff at Norfolk Hideaways are faultless - they are friendly and helpful, and really professional.
We have recommended the cottage and Norfolk Hideaways to many of our friends.

Columbine Cottage
Lovely cottage in a nice quiet location but close to a fabulous dog friendly beach. Would suggest the cleaner checks the walls, ceiling and light sockets to wipe away cobwebs and wipe blood away from inside of the outdoor toilet door.
Apart from that lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage and great location near the sea. The neighbours seemed very strict and unfriendly.

Perfect location
This was the first time of staying in this house and once again we were not disappointed by the standard of the property. The bedrooms were a good size and having an en suite in the main bedroom was great. The kitchen was well equipped, lots of utensils, cutlery, bowls and plates etc. The sofas were comfortable and room itself was cosy. Good size conservatory complete with blinds for really hot sunny days. We didn't use the pod in the garden but it's a brilliant idea. Garden was a great size and fully secure if you have dogs. Close to the local pub and close to the beach also a 5 minute drive in Hunstanton - overall very happy and have booked again for next year.

Great location...
This cottage is in a great location as it’s a short walk from the wonderful beach and a nice pub. It’s best feature is the garden. It is safe and secure in terms of fencing- could do with a lock on the gate but then perhaps the area is safe so a lock isn’t necessary just my personal preference. I was given the wrong address on my correspondence (4 instead of 47) this meant our food delivery went to the wrong house. Luckily we saw the delivery lorry and spoke to the driver confirming my details so he agreed to give us the shopping. The cottage wasn’t very clean on arrival, dust & cobwebs but perhaps that’s just what happens if the property isnt used all the time. The carpets downstairs are badly stained but it’s the oven that’s the worst. It really smokes & smells when used , perhaps needs a professional clean. Having said all this we enjoyed our stay and the cottage is comfortable.

Columbine Cottage with the lovely dog friendly garden in Holme by the Sea
Columbine is in a wonderful position, just a short walk to the beach or a longer walk to the bird observatory.
The garden and large, comfortable conservatory to the property are splendid, which open into a spacious lounge. Sadly, some guests have not been respectful towards such a lovely, well fitted house, as the carpets were stained round the dining table. Perhaps floor tiles would be more suitable . I really enjoyed my stay, as did my dog who I adopted from the RSPCA in Kings Lynn in April and I am sure we will make a return visit.

Nice holiday
The cottage was very comfortable. Dog friendly with secure garden. Short walk and your on the beach. The pub in the village was brilliant with good food. The cottage had everything you need for a week away.

Lovely cottage
With 6 of us and 3 dogs (special permission from the owners) I can say we all had a wonderful stay. Perfect location for the beech and pub. The teenagers found the WiFi didn’t really live up to their expectations and we were glad we took our giant beanbag for additional seating in the lounge. The log fire was certainly a bonus on the cold nights and it was lovely to light it on Christmas Day. I think we would happily go and stay at this gorgeous cottage again.

It would be useful to have the name of the cottage near the parking area. Arriving in the dark it was not clear whether we were walking into somebody else’s garden. All round a very good stay.
