Our family of 5 just returned from a day vacation and stayed in this absolutely perfectly gorgeous villa. It was central to the center square of Amalfi and the walk was not difficult at all, especially for me who has a knee condition. Nicola was very helpful in meeting us, the checkin process, and anything we needed. I would highly recommend to rent this villa when you are visiting.

We went with two other couples. We all had our own little getaway with plenty of privacy/terraces as well as places to hang out together. The view is breathtaking. We used the $100 service (for 12 pieces of luggage) to carry them up the stairs but opted to carry them down ourselves. Nicola showed us the property, gave us tips and places to go, and answered any questions throughout the stay. There is a Catholic Church on top of the hill. We climbed 200 plus stairs and went to mass in Italian. Everyone was welcoming. I highly recommend getting drivers to take you to and from train, tour the cities, and go to Pompei. Daniele was full of life and made our vacation so fun! He had great stories to tell, took us away from touristy areas for views, surprised us with wine, and then took us to a friend’s restaurant off the beaten path. It was so authentic! The place had washers with no dryers but to my surprise the clothes dried fast in the outdoors. The fridge was stocked for a breakfast, dinner, and appetizers which was nice. Our driver stopped so we could get groceries. There isn’t anything close but Nicola offered a grocery delivery service. There is a restaurant/bar close by where we ate twice. The walk into Amalfi wasn’t bad. There were some parts without a sidewalk but we were careful. The steps back up were challenging but we would stop and enjoy the view a few times. There is a cute little Beach Bar in Amalfi to relax and look out at the water. Amazing time!

Do yourself a favor and book this Villa! It was spotlessly clean, the 4 bathrooms were so helpful with all us getting reddy at once, the patios all just gorgeous! The Villa was stocked with food-fresh bread, pasta, wine, fruit, yogurts, etc upon arrival. They also arranged a grocery store run for us during our stay as well. My sister needed to visit urgent care and get her arm casted and the property manager arranged taxis repeatedly and offered advice on where to go, etc. They also made area restaurant suggestions and other sites to see! It was a wonderful place to stay, definitely a lot of stairs but that just left us more room for dessert each night! Book this villa!!

We had a wonderful visit to Amalfi,,and the villa was all we had hoped it to be and more. Incredible views from every room. Immaculate with comfy bedding, luxurious linens and bath amenities, a fully stocked pantry and fridge, and bedrooms on 3 separate levels ensuring plenty of privacy. Ideal for 3 couples or a large family. We had a car and access to paid parking about 1 block away. Villa is a bit of a hike from town but the bus stops at the bottom of the villa steps. Cafe serving pizza, casual dinners and coffee all day is just a quick walk up the street and the beach (accessible by many steps) is very close by as well. I have been to Amalfi many times and would highly recommend this property. The only drawback was having to leave!

We loved our stay at the villa!
The view is amazing and all of the rooms were impeccable.
Easy communication with the property manager.

My family and I loved this beautiful villa, it was perfect for us. It was close enough to walk into Amalfi, but so great, with incredible views, that we actually stayed in and cooked one night just so we didn't have to leave! The owner was wonderful and easy to work with. We would highly recommend staying here.

This Villa does not disappoint. This place is amazing. It was spotless with everything you could need from beach towels to batteries. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare breakfast and dinner. Our party were 3 adult couples. There was plenty of room for all of us with each couple having their own floor with bedroom, private bath and terrace
Looks as though the Villa was recently renovated with all up to date features. The grounds were beautiful as well with many trees plants. There is a small bar/restaurant nearby where you can get drinks, food and wine to bring back to the Villa. Nicola was wonderful. Very responsive and helpful. He met a couple from our party at 2am to let them into the villa There is a grocery delivery service that he arranged for us one day, a nice break from dining out which can be quite expensive. Transportation can be a bit of a challenge but a good car service makes all the difference. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and there are more steps than you can imagine. The closest beach is across the street but can only be accessed by a set of 400 steps. Challenging but worth the climb
Overall we loved Villa Giovanna and would come back anytime. I highly recommend it

Fabulous stay at Villa Giovanna! The property is absolutely beautiful and outfitted with everything a vacationer would need….kitchen equipment, towels and toiletries, laundry facilities and supplies, beach towels, bags and floaties! The fridge was stocked with a wonderful array of foods and snacks! The views are breathtaking and Giovanna’s communication is superior. Additionally, I can’t say enough about Daniele who helped us with transportation and several outings. He is an absolute pleasure. Nicola was also very responsive with regard to all our needs during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would give 5 stars with one exception….the location. There are steps, which are manageable and Giovanna will arrange help with baggage as needed, but the Villa is a 20-25 minute walk town so you have to be prepared for that or use bus or taxi which we did for the uphill ride home in the evening. We did not have any issues securing taxi rides home.

Property was perfect. Bathrooms and balcony’s galore. So much space to relax inside and even more outside. Kitchen has everything you need.
Little coffee shop around the corner was a hidden gem. Place was amazing.

6 Friends met up here for a wonderful 6 days. The Villa is beautiful as pictured. We met Nicola who arranged our luggage transfer up the steps and gave us a nice overview of the place. Luggage transfer up the 90 steps costs 10 euro per bag. The Villa was stocked with coffee and basics for breakfast and snacks. Taxis in Amalfi are expensive, but one in our party had hurt his back, so we were forced to use them several times. 30 euros down to town and it’s about a mile. Easy walk if you don’t mind the traffic, but up and down hill. The nearby beach is very nice, rocky and pebbly. 545 steps down from the street. There is a good local place called G.A.S. Up the hill a little ways. Good salads, sandwiches and mains for dinner with a beautiful view. Taxis were not always dependable. We called on Nicola to arrange taxis and groceries for us and he graciously offered restaurant recommendations and advice. However, on our last day we were waiting for a taxi to catch a ferry that never came. We could not reach Nicola that morning. I would recommend you get a card from a taxi driver when you use a good one and call them directly for rides. We would love to return one day and can recommend the villa.

We got so lucky with this place. Amazing views, the host was very helpful, and the location was perfect for us. There is a bus stop right in front of the place and a beach down the stairs. We walked into town many times. It was about a 25 minute walk, of which maybe 10 minutes is on the road with no side walk. I wouldn't recommend walking to everyone, but for us it was easy and the quickest way to get to town.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The Villa was perfect for our family. Very spacious, very clean. So many nice comforts. There was an abundance of balconies and patios, all providing spectacular. We were always so happy to return after a long day of excursions. The house is private and quiet. The location in Amalfi is a welcome reprieve from many of the other crowded towns along the coast. There is a cute dining option right up the road to enjoy a meal and drinks. The referral to utilize Daniele’s services in planning tours and driving, was invaluable. Daniele and Salvatore drove us daily in spacious and clean cars. So many wonderful tours and day trips. Nicola was helpful at check in. We were provided assistance with our bags at check in and check out. Instructions at the villa were very clear and we always received rapid responses to any questions. Nice food was provided which was much appreciated. We would love to return. Very memorable vacation with our family. The Villa was perfect!

Host was amazing! Very responsive, and thorough with the check in and check out process. Provided some great recommendations of places to eat, things to do as well
The location was good. About 500 or so steps down to a small public (rock) beach (which is a bit steep), but nice proximity. Up the hill from the Amalfi village which is short enough to walk, or bus if preferred
The place itself was absolutely breathtaking! Stunning views from everywhere on the property. There were like 5 different terraces/balconies which was really cool. Inside, it was nice and clean, and they even had some food for us in the fridge when we got there
10/10 no complaints

Listing is as advertised! First impressions - Nicola met us on the pier, organized porters for our luggage to the property for us, and drove with us to the property to show us around and give us info - All very welcome after a long journey, just fantastic! The property was VERY clean, lived up to the pictures and description.
The beds were comfortable and there were a lot of small touches we found charming (baskets in bathrooms with towels/slippers, batteries+flashlights for night walking, North American electrical outlet adapters).
Due to the location of the villa, there isn't many restaurant options nearby. Plan on going into town most nights (20-25min walk) or grocery shopping+cooking. FYI the buses can be full, or in some cases not show, so we recommend walking into town where possible (easy downhill from the villa, not far). Maybe catch a bus back up to the villa after you're done (need to buy tickets in town first!) or do the stairs by the pier until you're back on the road and walk back up. We found this preferable to the buses, it wasn't hard.
Great vacation and would recommend the property.
Thanks Giovanna and Nicola!

This is a very clean and nice property with the house on three levels and a couple of additional levels of garden. Not part of our rental agreement, the host had left us food and drinks that allowed us to cook several dinners and lunches. There is a simple resteraunt and bar 800’ away that serves good food, and the host provided contact information to book airport transportation and wonderful tour and wine tasting. We won’t hesitate to return.

Amazing villa, with beautiful views, plenty of room, and a great location.

Highly recommend!
We couldn't have chosen a nicer spot for our Amalfi vacation. The house is pristine with amazing outdoors spaces to enjoy the view. Giovanna had everything we needed to make dinner several nights (including wine) as well as coffee and breakfast foods. The laundry room was stocked, so we didn't need anything. I would rent it again without hesitation!
Giovanna introduced us to several people who went out of their way to make our trip delightful! Vittorio greeted us at the house to help with luggage/show us around and invited us to the family limoncello shop to sample a few different kinds. He gave us many fantastic restaurant recommendations. Danielle arranged car service and several activities for us (car service to/from airport, winery tour in Pompeii, private chef). We asked him where we could get our COVID test for our return trip to the US, and he arranged for a physician to do a "car call" on our route to the winery. We were beyond impressed with how helpful everyone was!
The house is close to the center of the town of Amalfi, but it requires a ~1 mile walk or a bus ride. The bus stop is at the base of the villa stairs, but they didn't always run on time. The walk to/from the town of Amalfi is easy, but the roads are narrow with no sidewalk. There are several cutoffs to take stairs and get off the road, but you do have to walk on the side of the narrow road for some of it. We made it fine. You will have a lot of stairs everywhere in Amalfi starting with the almost 100 stairs up to the villa, so this vacation could be challenging for people who might struggle with stairs.

The house that was our sanctuary!
This was an amazing place to get back to and relax after a day of excursions to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Capri!
Every couple had its own suite on each level, every thing done to provide the upmost comfort and best experience. Nicola was super helpful and very prompt at answering questions. Can’t recommend enough this place.

Fabulous Villa
We had a great experience renting this villa. The property exceeded our expectations, in terms of size, view, cleanliness and comfort. The villa was super well appointed providing us with everything we needed for our stay. The hostess, Giovanna, graciously and generously provided us with an array of different foods for breakfast and dinner so we hardly had to shop at all. She was very friendly and hospitable. The manager Nicola was a great help in answering our questions and helping us out with suggestions of where to eat etc. We appreciated his help and enjoyed all our interactions with him.
The view from this villa can't be beat - you can see the sea from all rooms of the house. It is truly magnificent.
The only less than perfect feature is the fact that there is no place nearby to get coffee or food, except one bar, and the people working there were not friendly at all. Otherwise one has to take a bus into Amalfi. There is a bus stop right in front of the villa but the bus schedules are a bit unpredictable.
Overall, a wonderful stay and we highly recommend the villa.
Thank you to Giovanna and Nicola!

Beyond our expectations. The views are spectacular from every angle or room in the house.
I would rent this house again. From the amenities to the views and where the house is located we enjoyed every minute that we stayed in the house.

Beautiful property! Gorgeous views
We had a great stay at Villa Giovanna. Giovanna and her manager Nicola were there to greet us upon arrival and show us the home. The home has 3 levels with many doors, each floor has several exit doors with keys inside the lock to get out. I am guessing she rents it as separate units off season. It was not an issue as we would unlock one door to exit in and out of in the main living room. The home is very large and the pictures online do not do it justice. Everything is new and beautiful. The towels and sheets are all white and high quality and engraved with VG for Villa Giovanna.Beds seem new and so comfortable. There are probably 6 different areas to sit outside and view the sea!So if one area is too hot you can find 3 different shaded areas. I would have loved if I had a yoga mat!!! The kitchen is so well stocked and Giovanna gives you wine, limoncello, fresh greens, pasta, and sauces!!! So many goodies which was appreciated since we did not have a car. Best to not to walk into town since the roads are narrow and windy!!! We did it once and decided the bus is easy and comes often right outside the villa . The villa is a great location to visit many towns as the bus stop is right below. Steps to villa were easy for my family of 4 and we only had carry on suitcases since I knew Giovanna had a washer.
Recommend going by ferry to Positano. Skip Capri in summer, its a zoo!Way overpriced and crowded!Amalfi was enjoyable and fun. Ravello is the best! Go to Ravello late day and then have dinner near one of the cliff restaurants. It was the most beautiful view! No crowds and simply gorgeous! Best day was when we hired a private boat for about $700 through Viatour think it’s called - Amalfi Boat Excursions . We cruised the entire Amalfi Coast for 8 hours and had lunch at a restaurant in Conci Di Marini on the beach, swam under waterfalls, and went into local caves. There is a beautiful beach right below the villa. Its only about 480 steps to go down lol! Just make sure you have everything you need for the day! Do not bother going on weekends as you will not get chairs or a spot on the beach. The guests of the hotel above get first picks
And can reserve chairs. We went one evening around 5 pm and had almost the entire beach to ourselves. It was gorgeous and I got beautiful pictures of my 2 teens swimming.
The Villa is beautiful and a perfect location. Don’t drive here- bus is convenient. You will not regret staying in this beautiful Villa!

Italy Bound 2019
The property was more than advertised...........very clean, beautiful views all day and night, great access via bus to Amalfi center, 5 minutes. Our host Nicola was great.........he texted back within minutes with all our needs, we were able to meet the owner, Giovanna, very sweet and caring person.
We had 6 people.......plenty of room, everyone had their space.
Definitely would go back and definitely would recommend this property.

A Slice of Paradise
This is a spacious home, modernly decorated and very clean. We were grateful for the lovely care package of food stuffs available upon our arrival, along with the starter pack of bus tickets. The views were lovely. Communication with Nicola with easy and he was very helpful with information about the house and suggestions for restaurants and things to do.
This house is part of a duplex -- this caused no problems, but was something that we did not understand upon booking.
The bus stop at the bottom of the steps was very convenient, although we found the bus schedules to be somewhat confusing. Also, many other reviews mention walking to Amalfi center. While certainly close enough to walk, we found that the curvy road with lots of traffic and not a lot of shoulder space were not comfortable for safe walking. We used the bus a lot.
All in all, we were very happy to have this lovely home to go back to at the end of full days of exploring the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

This was a memorable vacation destination. Stunning scenery, beautiful patios facing numerous directions, the property is spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The management is friendly and helpful. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with food and equipment. We wanted to move in forever !!

We stayed in Giovanna's villa for 12 nights and loved it. We were 3 couples, and the space was perfect because there are 3 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, and each suite is on a separate floor so there is nice privacy. We loved the views and being within walking distance of Amalfi. The location of this villa is very important when staying on the Amalfi coast because there is a bus stop right at the bottom of the stairs on the street by the villa, and you can also take ferries from Amalfi, whereas other towns may be a bit more isolated. The villa was spotless and the grounds were beautiful. We loved all the decks and the views. Also, very importantly, Giovanna, introduced us to Daniele, who took wonderful care of us, making restaurant recommendations and providing transportation and tours to many places. We booked several outings with him, and he and his team provided excellent personalized service. His assistance with our plans really made our trip memorable.

Absolutely amazing villa
Loved our stay at Villa Giovanna!! Everything was clean and plenty of room for the seven of us. Giovanna is a fabulous host -had the refrigerator stocked with an abundance of beverages, fruits, meats, cheeses and many more that sustained us all week, not to mention the fresh bread and basket of fixings for an amazing pasta dinner if you so choose to cook. The views were breathtaking no matter what room you were in, it was like a dream waking up every morning. Thank you Giovanna for a truly memorable family vacation.

Beautiful villa in the heart of the Amalfi coast
My family loved our stay. The villa is spacious with tremendous views, comfortable beds and a great location. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and fully stocked the fridge and pantry prior to arrival - free of charge. Even gave us some bus tickets to get us started!

giovanna property in amalfi
The views from our house were amazing! Giovanna was very responsive when I asked questions in advance. The fridge was stocked with eggs, pasta, pesto, wine, champagne and enough food to get us several meals. We really appreciated not having to go grocery shopping after traveling. I would recommend this highly. A nice location to walk into Amalfi and get a bus or ferry to take us where ever we wanted to go 5 stars all the way!!

Perfect Villa for our group of 6 adults!
The villa was beautiful, immaculate and well appointed, we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! Giovanna and Nicola were wonderful and had the refrigerator stocked with food upon our arrival which was great! The villa is about a 20 minute walk from the town of Amalfi. We were traveling with 6 adults and the layout of the villa is perfect, each couple had their own floor, plenty of bathrooms, lots of terraces and patio furniture. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and sheets for the week. We truly loved our stay! Grazie Giovanna!

Relaxing Amalfi experience
This was among the best HomeAway experiences I've had. The villa is very well kept, clean, and beautifully located. Spanning three floors and many rooms allowed for a great stay which did not feel crammed, with balconies accessible from every room with stunning views of the sea. The garden has a number of fruit trees (pomegranate, carob, ficus, etc.) which we enjoyed sampling from.
It's a short 20 minute walk to/from Amalfi center. And a short but very steep (500 steps in total!) to the nearest beach (which, given its privacy, was also a favourite beach along the coast). If you have trouble navigating steps and steep inclines by foot, be warned! This is a characteristic of the entire coastline, so you will have to get used to it! With many boat transfers to neighbouring coastal towns (Positano, Salerno, Capri, etc.) and buses available from Amalfi center this villa made for an excellent home base on the coast.
On top of these great characteristics which in and of themselves would have sufficed for the 5 star review, the hosts Giovanna and Nicola were extremely warm, inviting, and helpful. As we were travelling with a small baby, Giovanna made sure that a crib was prepared and waiting for us on our arrival. The fridge was stocked with wines and food. Cooking and BBQing for my wife and her family was one of the many highlights of our stay.
HIGHLY recommended! Thanks Giovanna for creating a small piece of paradise!

Beautiful Villa, Amazing Views
Villa Giovanna is without a doubt the best Italian villa I have ever stayed in. The owner, Giovanna was a lovely and thoughtful hostess along with Nicola, the manager.
The villa was beautiful, roomy, immaculate and extremely well equipped. There were multiples of most things and every kind of kitchen supply you can imagine. Giovanna welcomed us at the villa in person and with a refrigerator stocked the with cheeses, olives, fruit, jelly, butter, sliced meat, eggs, lettuce, herbs tomatoes and a variety of wonderful wines from the area. On the counter she had fresh bread, tomato sauce, olive oil, pasta, herbs, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, sugar and more. We had everything we needed for many breakfasts, and even a couple of dinners. It was wonderful on our first night to be able to make a nice simple dinner in the villa and then sit outside to enjoy a nice glass of wine and the amazing view.
Giovanna introduced us to Daniele to help with our tours in the area. From the minute I called Daniele he was a great help to us. His energy and enthusiasm could make any trip a good time. We loved the tour to Mount Vesuvius and Pompei, our Pizza making evening and the Amalfi Coast boat tour. Daniele took care of everything so that we could just show up and have a good time.
I am trying to learn Italian so I asked Giovanna if she could recommend anyone to teach me Italian. She arranged for my professor Eugenio who came to the villa every day to teach me. He was patient and encouraging and although in a week you can only learn the basics, I felt like I learned a tremendous amount and can even have a basic conversation.
I have traveled to Italy often and usually rent a car to make it easier to get off the beaten path. For this particular location, I would probably not take a car again. It was expensive to park the car and there was no parking in the town of Amalfi. We did not use the car much other than getting back and forth to the airport and a couple other short trips. We could easily walk to town and buses were inexpensive and ran frequently.
This villa is great for families, friends or singles. It helps if you are in good shape and can walk up and down the stairs and the roads to town and back. The bonus is that if you are not in shape you will be by the time you leave and you’ll have a great vacation in the process.

Villa Giovanna is impeccable. This luxury Villa everything as advertised.
We were greeted by Giovanna and Nicola at the beautiful Villa. The Villa was fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay--even a stocked fridge!! Giovanna organized our transfer through Daniele de Palma. He was over the top friendly and hospitable. He helped us comfortably explore the area for a reasonable rate and great personality to boot! Can't speak highly enough of the Villa and Daniele.

Paradise on the Amalfi Coast
We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Villa Giovanna! The accommodations were nothing short of amazing. Very clean, spacious, air conditioned beautiful villa. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place for fit 4-8 people. The location was perfect for traveling to various cities along the coast or just staying put to look out at the breathtaking view!

Great place near Amalfi
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was very clean, neat, and everything is quite new. The hosts prepared a wonderful array of food for us upon arrival and met us at the parking lot to help us locate the lot and the property. The views of the sea and the Amalfi coast are incredible. There is access to a nice pool up the hill. The house is also quite private, with the three bedrooms on separate floors and each with it's own terrace and in-suite bathroom. We really appreciated this. We also really enjoyed the numerous terraces throughout the property. Overall a wonderful stay.
