We voelden ons hier enorm thuis!

A grande simpatia e profissionalismo da Silvia e a localização

Everything! We had a long day before arrival and needed help in finding the property, the host was wonderful in her directions and so welcoming on arrival. The room was stunning, and the view incredible, what a glorious sunset. We had evening dinner here and it was the most perfect evening. We hope to return one day.

The friendliest staff, beautiful scenery and overall comfort of the stay. It felt like an oasis and loved the remote but accessible location. Delicious home cooked meals were also wonderful.
Everything was great.

Superb location, very friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner with local products.
The room was small for a couple and one adolescent, AC was not working properly.
4.5
Amazing staff: always there if you need anything, love the details and extremely friendly and welcoming.
4.5
it is a getaway in nature, the only thing you hear is ocean waves and birds. Silvia and her team make sure that it is the most relaxing stay.
the rooms were great but especially the outdoor area, it is spacious and there is plenty of room for all guests.

Very cosy place between sea and mountain. Beautiful area of São Jorge. Access by car is possible. (about 5min walk) Staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. I warmly recommand!

The property is absolutely stunning! it’s beautiful with crashing waves on one side, beautiful trails on the other side. A twenty min walk takes one to town and the only coffee plantation in Europe with fresh and tasty espresso. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. it contains wonderfully thoughtful details of a tea garden, lawn chairs, glorious views, and benches to sit and relax or read.
I can not think of anything I didn’t like.
It was quite lovely. I think any negative reviews on this place would be inaccurate at best or perhaps vindictiveness at worst. More on the person then the hotel itself.

Beautiful accomodation! The breakfast was a nice spread .The bed was super comfortable and the rooms are spacious.
The eggs where prepared much before we sat for breakfast and where always cold. We had an issue with the ac rhe first night but a solution was found by the second night

Amazing breakfast

Never had breakfast.
And the web site should have stated the remote location, our taxi couldn't even drive us all the way to the property.
There are flies everywhere. The refrigerator didn't work in our room. And there was no way to adjust the temperature of the water in the shower, it was scalding hot.
We only stayed one night.

Stunning property- delicious breakfast - peace and quiet.
I loved it all. However, if you’re not comfortable driving on dirt roads with a manual transmission, this might not be the place for you.

Absolutely beautiful and remote location, the apartments are very comfortable. Also, you have a stunning view of the ocean and Pico Island. The kitchen is well equipped and breakfast was delicious! We loved to sit on one of the many seating accommodations and just relax.
There‘s only one tiny thing: You have to park your car 450m from the location which is no problem. The road is very rocky and steep, so on arrival, our luggage was transported by small car from a very nice staff member. Unfortunately, somehow this wasn‘t possible when we left so we had to carry the heavy luggage.

Stunning remote location. Steps from a major hiking trail. Warm hospitality. Great breakfasts. Would definitely return.
Because it's remote, we spent a fair bit of time in the car. But, you know, you can't have both! That's a fair price to pay for enjoying a remote location.

Emazing view, place, really everything was great and top!❤️

Very nice facility, could have been excellent however, lacking of management detail however, the local cleaning staff was excellent. Location was remote, inaccurate/ missing description, about the 420 meter walk from the parking , no internet in the room had to use main lobby area was a pain
The Room itself was outstanding top of the line, outside chairs were limited and missing cushions, current state was expensive for value
Looking to get away from everything this is the place
2.5
Sea view, staff is very nice.
There hundreds of birds during the night, called “cagarras” and they make a annoying and very loud sound. You will listen to them all night long, since the room windows aren’t noise canceling effective.
The 500m gravel road tou have to walk every time you arrive or leave the houses isn’t practical or comfortable.
4.5
The landscape, the rooms and the staff were really great.
It is not reachable by car and you need to walk to get there. The staff is very supportive in helping with luggages
4.5
Very nice location hidden between the ocean and a waterfall. The staff is very nice and always ready to satisfy any request. The room are very spacious and clean!

The setting is jaw-droppingly beautiful, located directly on a hiking trail that leads to some of the loveliest spots we encountered on the island! It is a bit remote, which we loved! Rooms are well-appointed and the staff was very kind. The meals each night were simple but delicious and we appreciated the ample local wine!

Everything was great, the staff were exceptional.
Location is also mindblowing.

The view is amazing, the rooms are comfortable and very clean with great showers. The personnel are very sweet and acommodating. There are great places to enjoy the view and lay in the sun. The breakfast is delicious with many choices.
Our room was placed with a small ocean view, but it was by a path where everyone walked past and could look straight into our room.
All of our meals were inside with no view of the sea, which is just too bad when it is placed right by the ocean, and the pictures lead you to believe you will dine by the ocean. Furthermore, it is not an actual restaurant, but the personel makes homecooked dinner, at a bit too high pricepoint.
When leaving we were to pay for the meals, and they didnt accept card, so we had to make a bank transfer, that was super problematic, so we ended up half an hour late for our cab.
Basically we feel we were sold something a bit different than what we got.

Staff was great even before we arrive they support us and made us feel at home during stay (eg: they allowed us to do the laundry, to cook our own meals)
Location - it is really quiet and the landscape is stunning . If you are willing to do some long trails and hard trails such as Fajã dos Vimes- Fajã dos Cubres (16,5km) or Fajã dos Vimes- Fajã de São João (10km) you can use it as base.
So if you want peace , hiking , to disconnect that's a good place to be.
I do understand there is a huge investment to settle accommodation in such remote and wonderful place.Nevertheless, it is a bit overpriced for what you get. Hereby are the problems from my point of view:
- WiFi: there was no signal in our bedroom.
- Toilet - even by not putting paper in the toilet it was clotted and not comfortable we could not use as we wished;
- Room was a bit claustrophobic the ceiling is low and the window were small. But the other rooms had bigger windows
- Location - the location is remote so there is no restaurants nearby and you always need to.drive. Although you can cook in facility. Besides the last mile is not asphalt and you need to walk 450m to the facilities. Though the hotel carry your bags in the car.
All in all, we liked the experience as you will see below but we felt the place is pricy for what you get.

The remote location is absolutely amazing.
Mesmerizing ocean view.
The staff was very welcoming. Eduína is very kind.
Breakfast was great.
A little bit expensive. Wi-fi could be better.

Perfect hospitality, great views, and good commodities.
We would happily stay more days! Certainly returning here next time we go to S. Jorge.
Lacking sound isolation in the rooms.
