About this house rental
Come enjoy our little piece of 1955! We're offering this quaint home in historic Old Litchfield Park, just a few steps from the Wigwam Resort. The home sleeps up to 8 people in 4 beds and two high quality air mattresses. We've tried to furnish the home to take you back to the days of the classic Phoenix suburb. We are located just a 5 minute walk from 3 different green grass parks and the Wigwam Resort. You will not be disappointed by staying in this prestigious Phoenix neighborhood.
City Regulations require these notifications and checks:
~"This property cannot be used for purposes identified in the City of Litchfield Park Code Section 8-8-3. The City of Litchfield Park short-term rental registration number for this property is 23-26919."
~Every Short Term Rental host in Litchfield Park is required to do a check to see whether anyone staying in the home is on the Registered Sex Offender list. We may need to check legal ID to do this. To begin, we need the full name, age and a profile photo of each adult who will enter the home.

We welcome you to enjoy our lovely home, conveniently located in a historic Phoenix family neighborhood. We are close to several green grass parks, duck ponds and Wigwam Resort. People who live in our neighborhood are proud to be part of the neighborhood. We've had numerous guests wanting to be a permanent part of our neighborhood and offering to buy the home.
~~We will consider SOME dogs (but not all) with a $75 per pet fee. We would expect the home to have all traces of your pet gone when you leave the home. It includes hair, smells and feces from the yard. If this is not the case, there may be an additional cleaning charge at the end of your stay.
~~Summer Energy Use~~It should not be a surprise that Phoenix is hot in the summer. We have deeply discounted the home to include modest energy use. As such the thermostat is set to allow you to adjust temperatures between 72-78 in the summer. These are normal, comfortable room temperatures. If you need lower temperatures, this is not the home for you. Turning a thermostat lower than 70 with outside temperatures at 100+ can damage an AC unit.
~~See our separate listing that includes our bonus game room for small gatherings
~You have full access to the entire house. It is for you alone. There is no on-site host living in the home. We do live close by and can be in the home within a few minutes if necessary.
~There is a backyard garage with alley access and is not attached to the home. It is not intended for guest access unless booked on the separate listing. We store items there and may sometimes access it from the alley...without disturbing you in any way
~~As per platform requirements and local laws, you are notified that there is a Ring Doorbell security camera with sound, outside the home at the front door, pointed towards the street and the only pathway leading to the entrance to the home. You are not allowed to disable or obscure it in any way. If you do, we get a notification.
~~There is a neighborhood swimming pool just a 5 minute walk from the home. It is open seasonally and does have a small fee(less than $3) per person--discount passes can be purchased. If you would like a luxurious experience you can get a Day Pass for the Wigwam Resort for $30-ish. Details online.
~~~~~~~~~~Respecting the Home~~~~~~~~~~~
The platform policy requires that guests show a respect for the home and are expected to leave it in relatively the same condition they found it. Since you are paying for a basic cleaning, we will hold you to this policy. We will dust, vacuum, sanitize, do laundry and prepare the home between guests, but we do not expect our cleaners to pick up after you or a pet or do deep cleaning. If you want to exercise the right to leave a mess, just know that you will be charged for "unexpected cleaning" according to the policy, so we can return the home to the state you received it.
Things that will require "unexpected cleaning" charges:
~picking up little pieces of garbage all around the house
~cleaning a greasy stove or baked on oven
~washing dirty dishes and pots
~moving furniture back
~removing odors--because of food, smoke, pets or service animals
~cleaning outside after a pet
Please feel welcomed and safe
My wife and I were looking for a home to stay in for a month to attend spring training games. We liked the closeness to Goodyear Ball Park and the quiet, comfortable neighborhood. We enjoyed the unique style of the home and would recommend staying here to others.
