First night there the upstairs was so hot no one slept. When I called. They said - well you need to leave the bunk room door (a room we weren’t using) open. There were no instructions -and the logical thing is to close rooms we weren’t using. No apologies, no explanations. No instructions except some emailed a day in advance of check in. We were given wrong property name, wrong code for the lock and just sloppy. We travel with dogs and this was dog friendly. But 12 hours in advance were told no dogs in the pool. I never would have rented it if I had known in advance. The pool had a cheap plastic coveting that is peeling in many places. Also, the fact that there are three houses as part of the compound-on the water all close together was not made known. If you know the facts-you can make an evaluation and decision. Beautiful view. But lack of information and misinformation and frankly just not accommodating- final decision- will not recommend nor will we return. Internet password never worked. Kind of essential if one has to work. Great potential but lousy management.

Communication with the property managers was not good.

Great week on the Chesapeake
Great location, spectacular views of Chesapeake Bay, plenty for kids and adults to do. House is spacious and well equipped. Owner/managers were helpful and available.

Our experience with this Cambridge, MD property was the absolutely the worst rental experience we have ever had, after years of using this particular service in the US and overseas.
The house was simply disgusting. Appallingly unhygienic, ESPECIALLY given the current COVID crisis. Dead flies on the kitchen and dining room wall. Multiple fly-coated fly strips hanging from the ceiling. Numerous live flies everywhere. Grimy countertops. A rusted drain in the kitchen sink with what appeared to food remnants in it. Obviously the home had not been cleaned in a long time. Much less disinfected.
John met us at the house not wearing a mask and attempting to come in the house to speak with us while we were there. He was anxious to explain why the bottom of the pool was covered with black algae! He claimed it was “harmless” and that they were “had been working on it for a long time, and couldn’t fix it”, but no mention of this was given to us prior to arrival.
Absent from any pictures in the listing was the massive commercial grade tent (hard sided) that spans the entire property between the Mariner residence and the neighboring home.
We exited the property within 20 minutes and did not stay a single night. To do so would not have been safe nor healthy. The owners refuse to respond to our written requests for a refund and have taken the entire rental charge. We have requested a formal investigation of the situation.
This listing is entirely misrepresented, to say the least. Do not consider renting this property nor any of the others listed in this grouping.

Lovely place and yard with relaxing water view. The bunk bed room was perfect for the kids. The yard with pool, play set and waterfront area with 4 kayaks was perfect for multiple water sports and family activities. We brought our own paddle board to add to the mix. The pool needs to be relined or tiled as the lining was pulling away from the wall and there was a large pad with tent installed right next to the pool which was not in the advertised photo but other than those issues it was a fine place to stay and Kelly was very responsive with questions and requests. Beautiful days on the water and lovely nights around the firepit.
