Loved the building, its location and the breakfast was delicious with nice variety.
Bathroom could use a night light and often the outside stairwell lacked lights being turned on.

The hospitality, friendliness and cleanliness of this beautiful B&B was superb. MariaCristina and PierFrancesco made us feel so welcome to their amazing home. The breakfast was an experience, lovely cheeses, fresh bread, delicious fruit and always cake to finish. We will never forget our stay here and will recommend it to everyone we meet. A very special mention to Nina, a lovely member of staff.

The residence is Exceptional! It is an elegant and historic property with soaring ceilings and fine artworks all around. The hosts Maria Cristina and Pier Francesco are an absolutely lovey couple who really take care of your every need. The breakfast was lush and exceptional . Anything you could want. It is 5 minutes walking distance, or less to everything right in the center. Yet, it is quiet and peaceful. It is a truly one of a kind stay and experience. i will be back again.

the place is gorgeous! Very high ceiling all painted so amazingly. The breakfasts were so over the top, every morning a new surprise. The hosts were so helpful with maps and tips. The location is very close to the city center we could walk everywhere. The beds are fluffy and nice, lots of pillows, the shower was amazing.

Fantastically located and gorgeous palazzo. Our room was enormous, with beautiful decor.
The hosts couldn't be friendlier and service is on hand as required.
The breakfast is a giant spread and it keeps coming. We literally lasted all day afterwards.
Guests have access to an opulent living room during the day also.
A good place to go if you want to splurge (as it's expensive).
We parked at the Agosto VIII parking about 8 minutes' walk away rather than the suggested garage more nearby because that garagale had very mixed reviews.

After a month long stay in Italy how wonderful it was to meet the gracious owners Cristina and Francesco, they warmly welcomed me into their beautiful home. I enjoyed an interesting chat as Francesco learned of my interests and provided me with historical information and places to visit. My morning breakfast was a delight, with something special for me to begin my day in Bologna. My bedroom was immense and opulent, with a comfortable bed, and sitting area. Location is perfect, a short walk to the center area with many shops, restaurants, and historical sites. This was the highlight of my visit to Italy, due to the great care and kindness of the hosts. Highly recommend, will recommend to everyone I know planning a stay in Italy. Con Molto Gazie!!

The breakfast is off the charts- it is so decadent and lovely. The rooms are plush and comfortable. The owners really care if your needs are met.
It is a little bit loud with the windows open. It does have a courtyard but you can definitely hear the street. You are located in the city center- so I am not sure where you would go to not have that.

Cristina and Piero, who run this establishment were outstandingly caring and a mine of information of things in and around Bologna. The ambience, pairings and other art objects in this residence is to be seen to be believed.

awesome breakfast. comfortable bed and pillows. traditional, palace style, but not so over the top as to be overly ornate.
street noise to early hours of the morning, especially considering the need to open windows to regulate the temperature

If you want to maximize your experience in Bologna, you MUST stay here!
Ideally located in the heart of Bologna (walkable to train station), this 1600s palace is a truly special place. Piero-Francisco and Maria Christina, the owners and hosts, made every effort to welcome us and assist us in anything we needed. The room was very uniquely decorated and very comfortable. The bed linens were exquisite. Breakfast was so tasty with an assortment of many tasty items. The palace is decorated with renaissance period artwork and truly outstanding antiques. If you are traveling to Bologna, you cannot miss this experience. We have traveled to Europe many times and this place rates at the top!

The host and hostess were delightful, with a wealth of knowledge about art history. The breakfasts were generous and delicious; home cooked treats, fruits and a huge variety of cheeses and cold meats, eaten at a communal table. Staying in a real Palace was truly special!
