The cabin was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view. We loved playing ping pong and foosball in the game room. Our favorite restaurants were Vinyl Pies and Iron Horse Station in Hot Springs and Star Diner in Marshall. We enjoyed rafting down the French Broad River and the Hot Springs Resort. We had a great time! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. We can’t wait to stay at Wagon Trail again.

There are so many amazing things about this property, I hardly know where to begin. The views are fabulous! The beds are comfortable, house is roomy, spacious working area in the kitchen, hot tub is immaculate, and the manager is always cheerful and attentive. The driveway winds up to the top of the ridge, where the house overlooks the river. There are a couple of houses near by, but for the 3 days we stayed , we were the only ones around. So many things to do in this area, our kids had an absolute blast!!

My fiancé & I stayed here because we were getting married. The house was beautiful and had amazing views, very special & spacious.
I want anyone looking to book this to be aware:
-when checking into home; I asked owner if we could check in early (3pm instead of 4pm). When I arrived, the code wasn’t working so I reached out to owner. He responded with “well you said 3 so I put the code for 3pm”. He then hung up on me.
-After our rehearsal dinner, we noticed the AC was broken and it was 81 degrees in the house. I reached out to owner via texting since it was about 9pm. After some rude un-choice words via text from owner, he admitted that he was controlling our AC temperature and what it was sent from his phone. I asked owner to be more patient and I told him we understand it isn’t his fault for his AC going out. He did not offer a refund, he did not offer to move us to a different home & he did not offer to extend us or credit us for a night. Owner made us sleep and stay in 81 degree home with my wedding dress hanging in a hot closet. The AC repair man came about 8:30am to fix it wasn’t fixed until about 4pm.
-I went to go wash our clothes, the washer was full of black scum and mold. Decided not to use it.
My blood & roots run very deep in hot springs. I hope the owner recognizes that when you’re nasty and rude to guests, it affected businesses in town, including my family’s businesses. I understand that he owns “over 40 properties” but every home & every opinion counts.

WOW … was our initial reaction.
Pictures do not do it justice! The views are PHENOMENAL, the cabin was everything we could have wanted and more.
We went with two little ones so we LOVED that the back is enclosed . We could enjoy the sunsets and not have to worry about them getting out of the back deck.
They had two baby gates available which was wonderful since we forgot to take ours.
Owners were great at communicating and we can not wait to go again!
What a wonderful place to go and just relax!

We had a lovely long weekend in Hot Springs, as has been our tradition for years. The layout is great with beautiful views of the river and the mountains. Having a hot tub is a plus. However, having to go either outside, downstairs, and around back or going through the unfinished basement to gain access was awkward. Having to supply your own towels is a con.
The kitchen layout is perfect! The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets available if needed. Showers and baths were clean and well-appointed. On the down side, you can hear every step, toilet flush, every voice..making it difficult to keep different schedules from your travel companions.
Accessibility to town is great, as is the location.
I would prefer more communication in advance of my stays, but the owner was up front and honest in his way of handling check-in processes. Overall, I would recommend the property. It was a fantastic weekend away!

Stayed for two nights. Loved Hot Springs and surrounding towns.

Beautiful cabin with spectacular views. Very clean and comfortable. I took one point off because a fuse.blew in one of the bedrooms and the trip.box was in a closet that was impossible to open. That left us two nights without electricity in the bedroom we were in.

First stay at this property. Property was clean and comfortable. Loved the location high on the mountain. Great views and near several small restaurants. Close to beautiful high and steep hiking trails. Loved the steep winding roads and beautiful mountains.

We stayed here for a few days while in the general area to see colleges in TN. So we didn’t have a chance to enjoy getting out much, but the cabin was perfectly suited for us. It’s well equipped with everything we needed, including the little staples in the kitchen. We replaced what we used for others to enjoy. It felt so communal, very comfortable and welcoming.
My kids loved the game room downstairs. And we enjoyed the hot tub every evening.
The road to the cabin is a little rough and we were thankful to have an SUV. You definitely don’t want to bring a lower threshold vehicle.
Overall an amazing experience! Highly recommended. Make sure to visit the shops and restaurants in the little town. Super cute. Nice people!

We loved the cabin. It felt very clean! The drive up to the cabin wasn’t bad. I would recommend a awd suv. a small car could make it but might scrap on some gravel on one sharp turn other then that one sharp turn it was fine. Only 4 minutes to downtown hot springs. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Well-supplied with everything we needed and close enough to town to quickly get what we wanted. We loved the screened-in table and the deck at the front of the house. The trees were too leafed out to see as much river, but the mountains were lovely. We got a lot of use out the hot tub - good jets were key after hiking, riding, and rafting. Showers had good pressure and the rock at the bottom was a really nice touch. All the views were scenic, but the child sleeping on the loft futon right outside the master had the best morning view, for sure. The history behind the home was interesting. It really felt like a labor of love for the owners. Bear/moose decor was adorable.
Things to know about the area:
-Steep drive to cabin with a turn. We have all-wheel drive, so it was not a problem.
-If you want to cook with items beyond Dollar General, grab groceries on your way into the area. There's a smattering of other foodstuffs locally, but most of our shopping was at DG.
-Artisun is a must-stop: gallery/coffee/ice cream in one.
-Big Pillow/Grey Eagle Taqueria is a nice outdoor chill spot. Young kids and dogs seemed welcome.
-You can't go wrong with the local rafting scene. Hot Springs Rafting Company is super convenient, but French Broad was good, too.
-Definitely hike Lover's Leap. Further afield, Max Patch has some great views.

My Mother, brother and I came up for my son's wedding in Hot Springs. The house is very nice and offers so much. I wish we could have stayed much longer. The house was so comfortable and the beds slept great. The shower upstairs was awesome. We will definitely come back.

My sister, brother-in-law and I enjoyed a 4-night stay at the property. The cabin is very comfortable, nicely furnished and conveniently located if you are looking for some peace & quiet. We appreciated the screened-in porch, grill and hot tub for an after-hike soak. We hiked a couple of sections of the AT and did a daytrip to visit The Biltmore. Our only suggestion is to add a couple more deck lounges and an umbrella.

Beautiful cabin in a picturesque location! Cabin was very clean and well equipped. Extremely friendly check in and check out process! We were there during the unusual extreme cold and stayed warm. Definitely pride in ownership!

This is a premier Hot Springs property. The views from the living room and patio are amazing. The upstairs master suite is super comfortable and cozy (you can block out light and sleep in if you like!). The host was quick to communicate and everything on site worked perfectly. Will recommend this property to others and book again in the future. Thanks!

My family likes hiking and whitewater kayaking. Hot Springs has both. The house is beautiful and well appointed. You can walk from the house to several hiking trails, including the Appalachian trail. The only reason I gave it a 4 for location is the steep gravel drive to reach the house. My Subaru All wheel drive did great, but my son's Hyundai struggled to get up the hill. If you visit, contact hotspringsllama and schedule a tour of their farm or trek with the llamas, it's awesome.

We really enjoyed the time we spent at this cabin. Great place to relax. We did some hiking in the Appalachian trail and Laurel trail. All close by. Loved the screened in porch! Beautiful setting.
