Poseidon is among Beachwalk' s premier large properties, perfect for extended families and large groups. And the owners are continuing to reinvest rental proceeds back into the property, converting a previously unused large closet into a brand new ensuite bath and completely renovating two other baths all to be ready for Spring 2024. Poseidon, with the included coach house, Trident, feature over 6,000 square feet of living space, spread across 5 floors. With 8 bedrooms, 7 full baths, 3 living rooms, and a massive dining room with seating for more than 24, Poseidon has the space you need.
The Main Floor features a large open concept kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and a giant island. The kitchen opens to the dining area and 2 side-by-side 9-foot custom dining tables alongside a gas fireplace and a separate circular table. The dining room is next to a 400 sq. foot living room, that features a 60-inch TV and plenty of seating for family time. Through French doors off the living room, you will find a Main Floor bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bath.
Below the Main Floor is Poseidon’s Lower Level, which was recently finished. The space includes a massive family room, with a large flat screen TV, seating for the whole gang, a game room area with 2 stand up arcade games (Pac-Man and Golden Tee), and a bar. A bedroom has 2 bunk beds along with a custom bathroom complete with a double vanity and walk-in shower.
The Second-Floor features 4 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is huge, with a king bed, 2 walk-in closets, a crib, a completely renovated bathroom, and access to a private deck. The other 3 bedrooms each have queen beds, one has the brand new ensuite bathroom, and one other has its own private deck. The Second Floor has an additional fully renovated full bathroom with a private shower and a large dual sink vanity.
The 3rd floor is a wide open 1,100 square foot space that can easily accommodate an entire family on its own, with sleeping for 10 or more. This private space includes its own full bathroom as well, along with several closets and a washer and dryer. Kids love this space.
Trident is a fully appointed guest house above a 2-car garage with its own full kitchen, full bathroom, living room with a pull-out couch for extra sleeping space, a washer and dryer, and a bedroom with a queen bed. Trident has a private balcony deck perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. Trident is the perfect spot for those who want to be part of the action, but not necessarily always in the middle of it.
A large main deck connects Poseidon and Trident, and it is perfect for outdoor summer meals. This deck features two large tables, and two grills. The main deck abuts a screened-in porch off the back of the house perfect for late night chats or games. The front of the house features another screened-in porch off of the living room with a comfortable seating arrangement for morning coffee or cards. In the front yard you will find a custom built-in fire pit with seating for a crowd, for family marshmallow roasts. And if all of this were not enough, Poseidon, located on a quiet corner, also enjoys parking for at least 6 cars on the sides of the house, space for another 2 in the driveway, plus room in the garage for the custom golf cart that is included with the rental along with a ping pong table.

This home was perfect for our family holiday! It was warm, clean and spacious. The open kitchen / dining set up allowed meal preparation for a large group while enjoying family socializing at the same time. The fireplace and the windows added to the ambience of the room. We enjoyed meals and games with each other. The living area, porches and basement game room also gave us hours of enjoyment. The location was ideal for both Detroit and Chicago family. Beachwalk management were extremely responsive, organized and professional.

Our family of 22 were together over Thanksgiving. The Poseidon is a wonderful vacation home. Plenty of space, was clean, and had fun games in the quiet bottom floor. We even continued our tradition of a polar plunge! We enjoyed our stay together. The house needs some larger cooking pots, but no other complaints. The staff was very helpful.

This was our 3rd time staying in a Beachwalk vacation home, 2nd using Poseidon. It was great! Very clean, roomy and loads to do. Ping pong, 2 video games and a lot of room to play board games for our entire family. We plan on using this home every year for our weekend getaway.

This was our second year returning to Beachwalk and already booking 2024 dates. I love the feel of this resort - beachy but still close to home. The staff was amazing when we were in need of some fans due to an unseasonable hot weekend. The homes could use a little tlc but wrote that off to end of the busy season and I'm sure they are on the schedule for repairs during the winter. Overall I would totally recommend this resort to a friend.

My wife and I were able get together with our four kids and spouses and 11 grandchildren. Beach walk resorts was perfect and specifically the Poseidon/Trident house was able to accommodate all of the adults and kids. The numerous bed and bedroom arrangements really helps with flexibility.The community itself is very bicycle, friendly, and since we were on a backstreet are six and seven-year-olds are able to use scooters and bikes freely without worry.The beach was a great success. We did spend one day at the pool, and the new facilities were wonderful. We even had a lot of success on the fishing pier.

Poisedon and Trident was a very accommodating large house in that it sleeps over 20 people ’s one of the quieter houses we have been in and the beds were overall comfortable. We will come back to Beachwalk because it is convenient for our large family. The staff I dealt with in the Office were very nice and helpful in arranging a rental for next summer and I appreciate that very much. The upgrades at Beachwalk are really nice. Having said that, upon arrival on July 14th it didn’t take but a couple of hours to find that it was quite dirty,ill-equipped,and things were broken. The main house shower doors were broken and the shower knob in the loft bath didn’t work.The clothes dryer didn’t work took 3 cycles to dry. The garage had several broken objects just lying around. It seemed like a safety issue. The main house kitchen frig drawer falls out and has a broken shelf. The main house kitchen did not accommodate the # of guests it boasts. The screened porch furniture was very dirty and very worn. I realize rentals have lots of wear and tear but for the rental fees that the guests are paying it doesn’t seem right. Trident has electrical issues.Lights blink.There are next to no cooking supplies;few utensils,pots,etc. One of the main reasons for this detailed review is because on Thursday, the 6th day of our week, 3 cribs and a highchair were delivered while we were on the beach. My grandson was there and there was no explanation given to him why they were there. It was obvious though that they were delivering extra beds for the next renters. We had no notification of this delivery. I called the office and whoever I spoke to said they should have notified I said to him we have valuables everywhere and I would have appreciated a heads up. This delivery was difficult to work around as we were preparing to leave the next morning and should have been made upon our departure.I hope this review makes other renters' exper

we rented for a family reunion over the Thanksgiving weekend. We had 10 adults and 15 children, ages 1 - 17. There was ample space for all we had planned. The location was lovely - I simply love the Beachwalk neighborhood! We played in the playground and walked to the lake and enjoyed lots of indoor fun. The only downside was that they didn't have pots and pans large enough to prepare food for 25 guests. There were plenty of plates and cups and so on, plus two dishwashers to clean them all, but no large pots or bowls. We will most likely return in the future and just remember to bring large pots.

The large house was a great win for our group of 16 (8 adult couples). We enjoyed the large dining area and the ability to spend a weekend together. The house was in need of a deep cleaning. (I personally washed the kitchen ceiling fan because I couldn't stand the grease encrusted dust staring at me) The main dishwasher in the kitchen was non-functional, but there was a second dishwasher in the utility room off of the kitchen. The bedrooms were fine but were missing some basics (a few hangars, waste basket, chair, mirror) As noted by some, the carpeting down to the lower level needs to be either cleaned or replaced. The location was wonderful. Just a short walk to the beautiful Lake Michigan beach. The golf cart availability was a wonderful plus for the less ambulatory folks in our group. The management team was very responsive and open with communication before the stay.

The house could be awesome- location and space are ideal for large group but it needs updating. Plenty of dishes, utensils and pans but cookware (pots and pans) we’re old and very worn. Two dishwashers and two refrigerators is awesome except neither of the dishwashers worked well. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms but sagging mattresses and black mold in master shower - YUCK!
We were only there 2 days and there were 20 of us so it was tolerable for that amount of time but would not stay for more than that. Stained carpets in basement, torn screen doors and just overall needs to be cleaned up better and refreshed.
Great location and community facilities seemed great - but we didn’t use them.

Unfortunately, this house was in very bad shape. The carpets were badly stained and made our feet and socks black when we walked on them. The whole house needed repairs. The furniture in the living room was extremely broken down and needed replaced. The main dishwasher did not work. The garage was filled with junk so pretty much not usable. The pictures on the website were very misleading compared to actual house. Pillows and rugs were filthy. Bathrooms were also very bad with broken tiles, dirty tub grout, rusty/filthy fixtures. It was a shame that this house was left in such bad shape. This house is WAY overpriced for what you are getting. Definitely the worst VRBO we have stayed in. It was in a good location, close to the pool, and we managed to have a great visit with family despite the dirty, run-down accommodations. The actual Beachwalk resort was nice, with a very nice pool area, kayaking and access to the beach. This house needs attention.

This is the 3rd time our family has rented this property for Labor Day weekend. 1st time it was called Terra Cottage. While it has met most of our needs, the sofas have not improved at all. You can loose someone in those cracks between the cushions. Also, the master shower really needs to have a big mold removal. The dining facilities are great, the beds are all good for a 3-night stay, and overall, this is a great rental with plenty of parking space .

Great location but floors dirty
We weren’t able to check in on time as they were washing floors. Well floors were dirty I washed them myself after 2 days of black feet/socks! Ice maker broke. Grill never worked. Dishwashers were so so. There are so many rotten boards was worried for injuries. One was holding up deck on small house! There was leftover food in fridge when we arrived. We stayed here last year and had a few issues. Things have really gone down fast feel for owner. Cleaning crew doesn’t do floors!

The folks at Beachwalk Vacations are great. Always friendly, always have the right answer, and always willing to help you. However, the house we rented is another story. It is tired. It is in need of a DEEP clean. The floors are dirty, the carpet needs cleaning, my family had to throw their soxs away, and a number of things need to be repaired. The front porch railings are rotted and dangerous. The caps on the rear porch railing posts come off in your hand. The left garage door is broken. We had to open it by hand to get the golf cart out. The golf cart is very slow. You can walk faster. The house is in need of a good electrician. Many of the switches and outlets don't work. I believe the master bathroom has a serious electrical problem. The GFI and lights did not work for 6 days. Then on Thursday of our stay, they worked. This could be dangerous, or a short. Someone should draw a map of what switches do what. You have to go to the back door to operate the ceiling fans in the living room. A map should be easy to write because several switches do nothing, The A/C went out on the hottest day of the week. it took all day to have someone repair it. All they did was add some refrigerant. But nothing was repaired. Where did the refrigerant go? The next renter may have the same problem unless the leak is repaired. We couldn't do anything in the living room that night because it was 83 in the house. Other than that, our family enjoyed the Beachwalk property, not the house. I would recommend Beachwalk vacations, not the Poseidon and Trident property.

One of the best points of this house is everyone can actually eat together in the same room. There is plenty of space with two living rooms in the main house but neither is big enough for everyone at the same time. Overall, my complaints are minor issues like only have a pedestal sink in the master bathroom (absolutely no counterspace), the bedroom windows only have blackouts so you either get no light or you let you neighbors (who are very close) see in your bedroom. The door to the master bedroom balcony doesn't have any covering at all so garage apartment can see right in and you can darken the room. Overall, we would stay there again.

Awesome stay
My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. The house was very large and had so many bedrooms. The downstairs has a foosball table that was used by most of us and the ping pong table in the garage was used even more. It was great that the garage was warm enough to play ping pong in November.

Also the floors weren't cleaned properly so we had to keep our shoes on the entire time or our feet were black from the moment we walked in the door. The Wi-Fi also had a poor connection.The dryer was broken in the coach house. And one of the two sets of washers/dryers in the garage were broken. My family has stayed in seven different houses in Beachwalk. I will say this one- while it was huge, was not the nicest.

Poseidon & Trident was a great size for our group of 19, although there is room for more. Arrival and check in/out was easy. Both houses were clean. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Location was perfect- easy access to pool, lake Kai and the beach. A dishwasher leaked and maintenance responded very quickly. The kitchen has the very basics like silverware and plates, but very limited on cooking pots or pans. If you are going to cook for a large group, bring your own large skillet and pasta pots. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Large house with lots of room for all! Rained almost every day but still great time was had! Place needs a few updates one fridge and dishwasher didn’t work well but very roomy!

Beautiful home with plenty of room for big families. Loved the quaint neighborhood and amenities. Very close to the beach and many other activities and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again.
