About this cottage rental
Beautiful lakefront with plenty of outdoor living space and a well laid out traditional lake cottage is what Lightfoote Lagoon is all about!
Lakeside comfort and charm greets you inside the cottage. Enter the dining area and immediately feel at ease. Open dining room/living room and kitchen is brightened by the natural light through the windows that span the entire front of the cottage. The living room features a gas stove for heat and ambiance, comfortable furniture, a flat screen TV and views of the lake. Off the living room are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed. The other a twin bed. And off one of the downstairs bedrooms is the stackable washer/dryer combination. Off the far end of the dining room you will enter another bedroom with a queen bed and all the amenities. Up one step off that bedroom is the front sunroom.
A flight of stairs in that bedroom leads up another queen bed with a bathroom. The stairs to that room are steep and narrow be advised. Views of the lake can be seen from every window.
At the lake, your time is spent outdoors, so enjoy the pavilion for picnics and BBQ's; place the deck chairs around the fire pit and watch the stars come out at night; lounge in the sun on the natural beach; take the paddleboat out for a leisurely ride; fish off the dock;We also have two kayaks for you to use. enjoy your morning coffee on the deck; or go swimming in the lake! Located on the east bluff of Keuka Lake Lightfoote Lagoon offers peace and serenity, but is just minutes from Penn Yan and the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.
Note: Smoking is not allowed . The cottage is not handicap accessible.
No pets are allowed.Cottage is not guaranteed allergen-free. Also I need to mention there are stairs from the driveway to the cottage. About 30 half way down there is a landing. They are not steep.

Had another great vacation - already booked again for next year.

We were able to relax with our family. The house has a nice cabin feel and the beach front is large. We enjoyed the covered pavilion for a cookout with friends who stopped by.
Tina stayed in touch. We had some bad weather and she checked in on us to be sure all was well.
We would love to come back!

We have stayed at Tina,s cottage for the last 7 years. It has been perfect for us our kids and grandkids.Plenty of room both outside and in. Even when the weather is less than perfect we enjoy the outside pavilion to watch the water play cards or watch television. We will be back again next year and everyone is already looking forward to it 😀

The house and property allowed me to have my entire family to be with me for our family vacation. The outside pavilion was so comfortable to play with my grandkids and allow us to spend quality time with everyone. The views from the house which is right next to the lake was spectacular. Coffee on the dock each morning was priceless. We are looking forward to see about future stays at this house!

The pictures in the listing and descriptions are accurate. The house is older but very clean and everything was well maintained. Appliances and beds were all in great shape: The showers had good water pressure just obviously smaller based on the age of the house. The outside area is the main star of this property. We used the grill for most of our meals and it was in great shape and worked well. Plus we noticed two extra propane tanks on hand. The lake was clear and clean with very little traffic on it. The kayaks were in great condition and were a great experience. Owner was responsive and helpful with any questions. Would stay at this home again.

Older lake property well maintained and stocked with everything we needed for three couples. Dock to fish and kayak from, galley kitchen and great outside entertainment area with fire pit, tv and lots of comfortable seating. Heaters for chilly nights.

If you are looking for a comfortable, quirky, laid back cottage then this is the one for you!
Lightfoote Lagoon is clean and well stocked. If you forgot something odds are you will be able to find it in this cottage. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need (I suggest bringing paper plates, who wants to load the dishwasher on vacation?) and linens are provided. There are flatscreen tvs in both living rooms, almost all the bedrooms, and the pavilion so remember to bring your streaming services passwords.
As for lake fun this cottage has it all - super clear water with no seaweed, a large beach, 2 kayaks, a paddle boat, a fabulous large dock with seating, and oh, the pavilion. It is exactly as described and where you will spend the majority of your time. Hands down it was our favorite spot. The fire pit was lovely, just remember to bring your own firewood.
With four comfy bedrooms and three pull-out couches, everyone has their space. Three bathrooms are a plus and the washer/dryer really comes in handy.
Tina was a fantastic host, quickly answering any questions we had.
We enjoyed our stay so much we already booked a week for next summer!

This house was great for my husband, friends and I. We had everything we needed and more! The guys were all over 6ft so only downside is the the shorter doors but would do it over and over again.

My family rented this lake house for a week long getaway. The house is fully furnished with many amenities Only thing we needed to take was drinks and food. The spacious outdoor pavilion is where most of our time was spent. Having the lake right in front of you and hearing the splashing of the waves was so relaxing. Driveway was tricky at first, but we quickly worked around that. The owner Tina is absolutely amazing. She ensured we were fully informed if the ins and outs of the house and even provided us a courtesy call to make sure all was suitable. Thank you again Tina !!!

Excellent location. House had plenty of room for four people. Great outdoor covered deck and dock. All in all very relaxing. Two drawbacks were mouse droppings in the kitchen. we had to wash all kitchen utensils before using them. Didn't realize we had to wash all sheets and towels before we left. Never stayed at a property that that had to be done.. You would think that was part of the cleaning fee (I sure hope the people before us washed the sheets). My wife spoke to Tina and she is aware of the mice and is working to eliminate that problem. Other then that a great getaway.

This house was a great find. Proximity to all places we wanted to see was perfect (nothing is close in the Finger Lakes, you have to drive around lakes no matter where you want to go). Location on the water was nice, fishing was fun, caught bass, perch, pike.
Have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years and the highlight of this one is the outdoor gazebo. It has a fridge, microwave, grill, dining table, outdoor living rm with tv! We ate dinner out there every evening. And not as buggy as we might have thought.
If you're looking for a Finger Lakes stay I would recommend this one

This was a great place to relax before and after our son's wedding. We enjoyed the view from the dining room window, and it was nice to take a cup of coffee out to the covered patio and watch the sunrise. My family enjoyed the kayaks. The stars were beautiful from the dock. The host was responsive to any questions I had.

Everything you could want in a lake home
Lightfoote cottage has it all. No it is not a palace. Yes it is in a great location with everything you could ask for. The best part of this house is its lakefront outdoor space. We were blessed with great weather and other than sleeping, all of our time was spent outside, on the dock, at the fire pit, under the covered pavilion. We rented a boat up the road and picked up the family right at the house. if you like your vacation homes a little quirky but super comfy, this is the one for you. The house is just as described with no surprises. We would love to return next year if at all possible.

Peaceful
The entire trip was perfect! IMAPs had to find the address as Google maps took us past it. (Our fault for relying on gps.. lol) house was perfect, had everything we needed for the weekend. Very accommodating! Tina even called the first night to see if we needed anything which was nice. Kayaks were great to have on the property already and the amount of lakefront space was fabulous! Neighbors weren’t close at all! It was a perfect weekend!

We beat the summer rush! This is a nice boat house with a great location.

Perfect place for a getaway with friends!
Four of us have previosly rented this property last year. We rented it again because we like to watch the Buffalo Bills game (which we did beat Houston 40-0!!!) outside under the pavilion - which is where you basically live during your stay. Theres couches, tv, dining table, refrig, microwave and a grill all right under cover. Your steps away from the water and the dock. There is also a bathroom in the house that is conviently off the deck - you can get into the bathroom from the house or deck which was a great idea to put this in. We will be cack again!

Great weekend fall getaway!
The Lightfoot House is perfect for a family weekend. We love the open areas of the house, the boat house is a bonus along with the covered area outdoors equipped with a refrigerator and big dining table and sitting area with TV for rainy days!

Would stay again!
Loved everything about this property. The dock with the table and chairs was perfect.. the covered area worked out perfectly if it got a little windy or too hot. I loved being able to walk into the water from the small beach. There was so much privacy also. The owner was extremely cooperative with any questions, and got back to me fairly quickly. I would stay again!!

Good news bad news
The good news is that the outdoor area is awesome. The bad news is the house was not very clean. Had to clean urine up, broiler pan had been used and left sitting in the bottom drawer of the oven just to name a few things. We gave up the master bedroom to younger family members due to the stairs being only about 4 inches deep and a hazard. There is a cleaning fee but I still had to wash and dry all the sheets and towels and still be out by 10:30am. I left a day early because of that.

Location and lake front
The location and lake front (pavilion) were awesome. The cottage itself needed some updates, but there was plenty of room for my family!

Wonderful week
This was the third year in a row that our family has stayed here. Everyone loves the place. Lots of room both inside and out. The outside pavilion is great even if it rains. Tina checked on us to make sure we had everything we need. We will be coming back

Great place to stay!
A group of friends and I decided to rent this house out for a week so we would have a place to stay right on the lake. We had an awesome time, there's plenty of amenities around the house. The location, while hidden is beautiful. It was nice being able to sit outside on the dock or in the pavilion
