About this apartment rental
Entering through the gates of Acquilus you really get a sense that you have arrived. Unloading under the porte-cochere to the elevator and before you know it you are at your vacation get away in this corner unit on 8th floor.
Immediately after entering you will see on your right the first guest room with bunk beds beds and a full en-suite bathroom. After leaving this room you see the living areas open up and the ocean in front of you.
Before the kitchen and living areas is the second guest room with a queen size bed, and private bathroom. In this room you are fortunate enough to have a second balcony overlooking Jacksonville Beach with access only from this guest room. This is the perfect spot for sunsets and midnight star gazing.
Out of the second guest bedroom you are led to the Kitchen. Next to the kitchen is a half bathroom which is your true guest bathroom. The deluxe kitchen is complete with top of the line appliances and granite counter tops this kitchen is easy to use and great for entertaining. The kitchen bar seats 4 comfortably to socialize before dinner or for taking in the view. The dining area seats eight with an added bonus of a north facing window. The corner aspect of this unit allows for more light and some of the best views in the building.
Past the dining area in to the living area you are greeted by a warm décor perfect for relaxing or entertaining, makes this a comfortable spot to watch a good movie or reflect on a sunrise.
Through the living area is the master bedroom, where you will find a king sized bed looking over the Atlantic ocean with a panoramic view with no rival. Into the master bathroom you will see the attention to detail to make this a very serene place. Double vanities, private commode, walk in shower and a whirlpool tub. Out the sliding glass doors from the master you are led to the same 400sq/ft balcony that is accessed from the living area.
On the balcony you have a table that seats six and other chairs for lounging. No matter the use, this is a location that is sure to create memories that will last forever.
Jacksonville Beach is a beach rich with history and full of activities for visitors of all ages. From the Acquilus building one can walk to shopping dining and various forms of entertainment. There are numerous playgrounds within a short drive and further out some of the best state parks in all of Florida. St Augustine is a short drive from Jacksonville Beach where there is a multitude of dining and shopping options along with all the tourists attractions St Augustine is famous for.
Closer to the building you will find a mix of fine dining restaurants, Mexican, pizza places, several seafood spots and some really good places for drinks.
There is a vibrant social scene in the heart of Jacksonville Beach with concerts in several of the local clubs and presentations and festivals on the city lawn several times a year. Ask what’s going on when you book and there is bound to be something. We loved being in a gated area. The views & sounds of the ocean were priceless. We truly loved the condo, the views, our host Kevin & our stay.
Our only complaints:
The furniture in the living room is becoming very worn & wasn't comfortable after awhile. (Our stay was at the beginning of April, so we stayed in quite a bit)
The beds in the bunk room & master weren't very comfy.
The guest room with the balcony; the window that overlooked the ocean was broke & boarded up. Kevin stated it was due to prior renters that opened the window during a windy day & it busted.
The patio chairs are very worn.
All that being said. We would for sure stay here again. Especially having gated access so we didn't have to worry about parking.
Kevin was great to respond if we needed anything.
I can't wait to visit Jax Beach again.

This place was almost perfect, except that it was advertised as having a hot tub and I booked it counting on that, as we booked in November when the beach is quite cold. When I was unable to get the hot tub to work, I reached out to Kevin and was informed it needs a part so it's not been working. This feels like false advertising, as I would have booked somewhere else with a hot tub during such a cold month. However, other than that, the place was perfect, exactly as advertised, even bigger than it appears in the pictures. A lot of the towels smelled musty, like they were left in the laundry for too long, but easily fixed by rewashing. Would book here again if the hot tub works. Until it's working, the listing should definitely be updated.

We really enjoyed our beach vacation at this property- it has everything you could ask for, and that view is amazing. Great location, good layout, stocked with everything, and I mean everything you need for the beach- chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, boogie boards- so awesome!

This condo is amazing and the views are worth every penny. We spent a great deal of time on the balcony and was very thankful for the table and chairs. Kitchen was very nice and big. TV's worked in main bedroom and living room which is where we watched them so I can't speak for the others. Minor issue with one toilet and contacted the host to let them know. They answered quickly and advised they would look at it. There's 3 1/2 baths in this condo so it was no worry to find another one!

The unit was large and open spectacular views from the massive balcony overlooking the ocean.The only thing I have to complain about was the 2nd bedroom which was very dated and one window in the bedroom was broken we could not use. That room really needs a facelift. Other than that everything else was great!!

The place looked amazing online and was even better in person. Beautiful and very spacious. The owner was easy to communicate with. This unit had a ton of supplies (kitchen supplies, pool towels/toys/equipment) and we had a perfect view from the balcony of the fireworks shot off of the Jacksonville Beach Pier.

Beautiful, spacious condo! Corner unit with large balcony, comfortable furniture, well stocked for everything we would need for our stay including beach equipment and beach towels. Resort was gated with security access to units. Felt very safe. Management very responsive to take care of our needs. Would definitely stay again!

The condo is on the 8th floor of the Acquilus I building. Check-in and out was very easy. Kevin from Lancelot met us at the agreed upon time of 4:00 pm, provided us with the necessary keys and instructions on entering and exiting the building, and walked us through the condo. It took only about 15 minutes to get all set. The condo is located on the northeast corner of the building and has spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and beaches to the north and east. The condo was very clean and quiet. I think we heard a neighbor's door shut one time in the week we were there. The condo has its own garage that fits a full size car (rental definition of a full size - Toyota Camry). Access to the building through the security gates and doors is easy with the provided electronic key fob. The condo is nicely furnished and has all the appliances we needed during our stay. Grocery stores are located relatively close to the condo as are several decent restaurants. We had a wonderful relaxing week in Jacksonville Beach!

We were only a mile down the beach from the part so the location was perfect. The view was beautiful and my family from Seattle and Thailand thought it was perfect and I agreed.
Our property manager Kevin was amazing. He responded to all my question very quickly and was there for us when we checked in. I was a manager for large real estate company in Jacksonville and I would recommend Kevin to my company in a heartbeat. He made the whole experience easy. Thanks Kevin, you’re the best.

Has been more than a month and have not received my deposit back despite sending inquiries. Right after we left since we had to open the window ( due to smoke alarm) , owner sent a message stating that there may be damage. Not heard since then.Additionally the floors were very dirty. As a family of all physicians due to our customs, we do not wear shoes in any home/hotel rooms .As a result of quite dirty floors, we had to throw away our stockings at the end of every day

This is an amazing property in a great location in Jacksonville Beach. Kevin, the property manager, was friendly and helpful.
The property was clean and provided everything you expect/need in a vacation rental home. To our surprise there was even stuff for the beach in the garage!
The views are breathtaking, especially with the morning sunrise. Our son is stationed at Mayport so we will definitely be visiting again and will stay here!
