About this house rental
Zamia House is a recently built (constructed 2011) elevated , north facing contemporary home with stunning views across Wyadup valley.
The incredibly beautiful and pristine Injidup Beach is 2km away and only a four minute drive or 20 minute walk. The house is set on five acres of virgin bush and is central to all the wineries, restaurants and attractions of the Margaret River region. We are very close to some really popular wineries and winery-restaurants including Will's Domain, Aramia, Swings and Roundabouts, Windows Estate, House of Cards, Rivendell, Barnyard, Wild Hop, and Knee Deep. The gorgeous Smiths Beach and Yallingup Beach are only 7 - 10 minutes drive. The Cape to Cape walking track passes through Injidup beach.
The home is light and bright and very comfortable, with open plan living, quality furnishings, a very well-stocked kitchen for those who love to cook, and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one an ensuite), with a separate WC. There is a large covered deck for sipping wine and enjoying the panoramic views which has a 5 seat outdoor lounge and 8 seat table, and a BBQ. Puzzles, games and DVDs are available to enjoy (and a trampoline, patch of lawn and tyre swing for the kids). A fire pit is available between May - October with 8 seats. The fire pit cannot be used outside those dates. You will need to bring firelighters and matches for the firepit. You can collect wood from around the property, and there is usually some cut wood under the house.
The house sleeps a total of 6 in three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 - queen bed master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom
Bedroom 2 - queen bed
Bedroom 3 - 2 king singles which can convert to a super king bed (please let us know the configuration you require when booking as the default arrangement is two king singles. We require at least one week's notice to set up the super king bed).
There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the open plan living/kitchen/dining for summer cooling and winter heating, ceiling fans in Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 and a portable fan in Bedroom 2. For winter warmth, the beds have electric blankets. Both bathrooms have heat lamps.
Why Zamia House? The house is named after the prehistoric Zamia palms which abound in the area.
WHAT WE SUPPLY, WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
We supply doonas (with covers), pillows and two tea towels.
Then you have a choice. You can bring your own linen (queen sheets, pillow cases), bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and beach towels. The exception is that we will always set up the two king single beds or the super king bed as these sheet sizes are rare. If you do not wish to bring queen sheets and towels you can hire linen and bath towels at $20 per person per stay. If you wish to hire linen, you need to let us know at the time of booking. Also let us know how many people are staying and how many beds you need made up. Beach towels cannot be hired.
Porta cot and high chair are available. You must supply your own linen for the portacot.

A wonderfully presented home, located in the mesmeric Yallingup Peninsula.
A memorable and enjoyable stay, especially at night, where light pollution is negligible and leads to a master display in celestial dance symphony.

Zamia House was a beautiful place to stay, surrounded by dense bushland it really was a nice escape! Close to the beach and the venue for the wedding my family and I were staying down there for, it was perfectly suited to us. Thanks so much for allowing us an early check-in so we had enough time to get ready. Would definitely recommend Zamia House to anyone wanting a quiet, bright and clean place to escape to for a few days.

Very comfortable house. Loved being high in the tree tops and a great view from the balcony. This is the perfect location as it’s close to great beaches and wineries but away from the busy tourists spots so very quiet. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved our stay at this cool house. It is incredibly close to the Natural Spa which is one of the best attractions. We went to Indijup Beach the evening we arrived. We had the whole beach to ourselves.
We headed to Hamelin Bay to see the rays and walked the gorgeous long beach. What a gorgeous area!
This stay was one of our favorite in Australia. It was definitely worth coming all the way from San Francisco.
We loved our dinners on the patio. The house was well equipped with spices & cook ware. Thanks for that!

Requires some TLC
The property was ok, bed sheets and towels were thin, worn and poor quality. Although the kitchen was clean, the master bathroom had mould on the ceiling and broken fly screens. Overall the property isnt well maintained and for the cost, does not add up. There is a bbq on the balcony and a fire pit but no mention of this on the stayz description.

Nice House Lacking the Basics
Zamia is located in a bush estate so you definitely have a sense of isolation and been in the bush although you are aware of other houses nearby. The house faces east so a lovely sunny spot in the morning & the views are fabulous. We stayed during autumn so the sun into house and on the balcony was lovely but I would think it would be very hot in summer even with the blinds & AC. We had been out all day got back at 7pm and the outside temperature was quite cold but the house was toasty warm & we didn’t need to use the AC. Our daughter who had travelled from Sydney had found Zamia several months before our arrival and I had completely forgotten we hadn't booked linen until we were walking out the door. I have been travelling down south for over 30 years and it amazes me in 2019 hosts are still charging for such basics as bed linen, I suggest you supply with the house and add the cost but don’t charge separately. The cost for linen was by the number of people not by the beds used, there were 4 people in our case, using 2 beds, if there were 3 people using the same 2 beds it would have been cheaper. It concerns me when linen isn’t supplied & if people forget to bring, they end up sleeping on beds without any bed linen at all, then other guests come and sleep in the beds. I know it’s another way to make money but the accommodation isn’t exactly cheap and the inconvenience of bringing linen or the additional cost of the linen does nothing to add to the experience of Zamia. I forgot to pack bathmats and shower gel and of course neither were provided!! I host an Airbnb in Fremantle we supply everything including bed linen, towels, shampoo, conditioner etc. you just have to arrive with your clothes and food and everything else is provided.

A Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful family break at Zamia House, a beautiful modern dwelling, elevated so you feel like you are living in the trees. Brilliantly and simply designed, providing a perfect getaway for a family break. The house is very well equipped for families of all ages. We were impressed by the well supplied kitchen and general comfort and cleanliness of the house. We hope to return before too long.

Beautiful elevated house in bushland, isolated but also close to everything. Perfect combination
House is great for a family, enough room for everyone both inside and out . We really enjoyed our time at Zamia. Oven did not work but we were advised beforehand and compensated with a bottle of wine. Only thing I would have liked as an extra is WiFi
