I am a fan of old homes with history. This is an old house with character and original features and quirks, but also modern conveniences. We have preserved many of the original features, such as original windows and doors, hardwood floors, bathroom tiles and fixtures, etc. If you are a fan of everything the latest, this is not it.

Located in a quiet, residential urban neighborhood just minutes away from Johns Hopkins University and Morgan State. The neighborhood is lovely, with flowering gardens and smiling gardeners. YMCA is right next door - has an Olympic size indoor swimming pool and all full fitness facilities. Community children's playground built and cared for by the neighborhood.

Only 15 minutes away from Towson and Downtown Baltimore. We are walking distance from the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus and Union Memorial Hospital. Unique Hampden and its Avenue are also nearby, and all Baltimore sights are a short ride away. The Baltimore Inner Harbor, the Aquarium and the Ravens Stadium are a 20 minutes drive from us, and it takes about 18 minutes to the Convention Center. There are easy bus connections nearby to all of these locations as well.

Perfect for healthcare professionals and students as the home is less than 15 minutes away from Union Memorial Hospital, Good Samaritan, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sinai, MedStar, GBMC and UMMC. LONG TERM STAYS WELCOME!

This is a comfortable and inspiring home. Loved all the hand-painted touches and wonderful art all around. Very cheerful colors. Incredibly comfortable beds and linens. We were there in winter so didn't get to experience the neighborhood in bloom but could tell it must be lovely with all the flowering trees and many gardens. The one note I have for anyone considering staying here, the bathtub/shower does not have grab bars and has a curtain all around so nothing even to lean on. It was fine for me but my 87-year-old mother did not feel safe using it. Just something to be aware of.

Great house with decent amenities. The house decor and art was a real treat to experience. Neighbors were really nice. The street is a narrow one-way like a lot of Baltimore neighborhood streets, but street parking wasn't too bad if you know how to parallel park. So nice to stay at a home with laundry and a kitchen. The beds were great and love the themes of each room. Also the shower had great water pressure. Would definitely recommend the house to others who need a place to stay in NE Baltimore.

We stayed @housecolorful in August for college move-in dat/week. Property was as described. You have all that you need in a house for day‐to-day living. We liked the feel and decor of this charming rowhouse, from the squeaky floors to all of the personal items throughout, reminding us of old Europe. The host was very kind and responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to catch the sunset and see the skyline of downtown Baltimore, very pretty with lots of greenery everywhere, impressive to people traveling from Arizona. We would definitely go back and stay at the house again.
