Nice place and very clean

Pictures make it seem like the cabin is located in a private area and it is not. Cabin sits right on top of other cabins. It wasn’t a bad cabin

Three adults stayed here for the week to explore Yellowstone NP. Great location and great little walkable town. The cabin is well equipped with standard essentials for cooking although we did not do much other than eggs for breakfast. We appreciate the use of the cooler to allow us to pack lunch for the day. Cabin was clean and beds comfortable. Great views off the porch too!
We used the bunk room for luggage as first floor bedroom has minimal space. Hostess is very responsive.

Awesome view! Close to everything in town.

This property had many good features-location, quiet, good beds, and all we needed for a base to our visit to Yellowstone . The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet . However, the bunk bed is not really a bunk bed because the top bunk is very close to the ceiling and not suitable for anyone, even a child. As well, there was one large fry pan that was useless it burned everything. The oven was so filthy that we could not use it. These may seem like small things but they are important to a family that already pays top dollar and expects to be able to prepare meals. Also, we had trouble with the cabin locks and our host did not respond to our plea for help. Very dissappointing

The Eagles Nest is a great little cabin right on the banks of the Yellowstone River at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is 5 minutes from the Roosevelt Arch entrance and walking distance to virtually everything in Gardiner. The views of the mountains and the river are unmatched! It was very well stocked for cooking (we cooked breakfast every morning and a frozen pizza one night). The bed was super comfy and I slept like a rock. I would definitely stay here again!

This would be perfect for a couple or small family that packs light. Unfortunately, we were neither. Our family of four was visiting Yellowstone as part of a longer 2-week trip. We would have been fine if we could have unpacked, but there are no dressers at all simply because there's no room (so it's not their fault). If it was only my wife and me, we could have laid out our stuff on the bunk beds and put our empty suitcases in the loft. But we didn't have that option with our two teenagers occupying those spaces. So we were tripping over one another and our stuff.
To make matters worse, the outdoor garbage cans were full so we had to keep trash bags in the kitchen (where they may have leaked). The parking spot was small, so that free upgrade into a ginormous rental SUV may not be a good idea. We also found that the WiFi was slow when it worked intermittently (which turned into a much-needed push for our teenagers to get off their phones ... hahaha). And with temps in the 90s, the A/C simply wasn't enough to cool beyond the kitchen / living areas.
So why still give this cabin a good review? Because it's a *great* cabin for a couple! My wife and I would definitely go back. The host was great. The location was priceless: on the river with a view of the mountains. And we could walk anywhere. Need coffee in the morning? It's a minute away! So were great breakfast options, the market, food trucks, and convenience store. And in the shadow of Yellowstone! Just know it's small.

Owner was responsive but unable to get us a door key so cottage had to be left unlocked when we were not at the property, internet never worked.

Perfect location to go to the North entrance, especially if heading toward Lamar Valley to look for wildlife. The bungalow was clean & in walking distance to everything in Gardiner. All rooms are small, so keep that in mind when packing. It was fine for the 3 of us by using the bunk bedroom for storage, & our teenage son had the upstairs room that requires a ladder to get up to. Also had room for camera gear in the family room. The photos are good of the inside so you can get a pretty good idea of the layout. The view from the deck is fabulous!!

Beautiful, clean & cozy. As 4 adults, it was everything we could want! We were serenaded bx wildlife every morning and evening. It was an easy walk to store, restaurant. Bakery and Post Office. Being able to do a load of laundry made packing so much easier! We were able to find street parking for our 25 foot RV nearby fairly easily during September. Just a wonderful way to enjoy our Yellowstone visit.

This was our first time to the area and this place was perfect! Cute town, clean house and great view. Just what we needed. The cooler was an added bonus! Would love to come back.

We loved our stay in this property! It is easily within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and even white water rafting. The house was clean and surprisingly spacious, accommodating our teenager, younger sibling, and a host of camera gear with room to spare. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the water and Yellowstone was less than a 5 minute drive. We’d definitely recommend this property!

We had two nights at Eagles Nest. It is a very cozy cabin. Great view of the Yellowstone River. The cabin was very clean and up to date. Location is great. We slept 5 in the cabin (3 adults, 2 kids). It was a little tight, but worked just fine for us!

Great place to stay with Grandkids for our week at Yellowstone. Close to North entrance. Very comfortable cabin with all we needed to prepare meals, rest comfortably after long day in Park. Kids loved the Flying Pig saddle and paddle adventure.

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and unique. A perfect stay for us being 3 adults.
The one thing I found missing was ice cube trays. I love ice in my drinks and did not want to walk to the store for ice at night. Also note there is not a dishwasher and the rooms are small. We loved the accommodations but tend to pack heavy and the only place to put out luggage was in the small sitting area because both of the bedrooms on the first floor were extremely small. The loft upstairs would have been perfect for children but none of the 3 adults on my trip wanted to risk climbing up and down from the loft for a middle of the night bathroom need!
Overall though the views from the back porch were amazing especially with the full moon. The inside of the cabin was very nice and comfortable and homey. And the walk-ability to restaurants and other places was perfect. Only scary thing I had happen was an elk on the sidewalk that did not want me to pass! I had to cross the street and make a generous circle around its space.

The cabin was small but fine for our stay, as we really just needed a place to sleep. It is very nice inside, with all the necessary amenities. A beautiful view on the river, right outside of Yellowstone. The town was cute with decent restaurants, and a nice little grocery store.

The cabin was just what my husband I needed for our visit. It was immaculately clean and well stocked for cooking and keeping cold foods cold. The bed was very comfortable. The river was right off the porch and the sound of the rushing water was very nice white noise. It was located less than 5 mins from the South entrance to Yellowstone. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around. There is a grocery store less than half a mile away. Our hostess, Liza, was very kind and quick to respond to text messages. We hope to visit again!

What a lovely little cabin- it was perfect for the two of us but would’ve been uncomfortably tight for a larger group. Perched on the banks of the Yellowstone River - fantastic!! It wasn’t as clean as we would’ve liked when we arrived - what looked like pet hair on the floor and furniture, crumbs in the corners, etc. The check-in instructions were incorrect, but we were able to clarify quickly with the host. We really enjoyed our stay at this little hideaway!

Well located but a little on the small size. Not a lot of room for luggage storage. Kitchen could use more counter space. The location makes up for some of the short comings.

Cool little place
Door lock was not working properly and grill lid was falling off and barely any propane. There was a tv but no service. Little dirty around the edges. There is no heat or air. Hard to find the place at first. I like the privacy buy pricey for what it is. Idk if a hotel would have been less then what I paid for week. Had spiders and a grub type worm on my pillow. Not a bad place just small things that made a long day at the park longer

Would love to give 5 stars overall but....
So many positives for this property - great location for access to Yellowstone, convenient to food shopping and restaurants, most amenities one could need. But... the owner had complaints in her guest book about the refrigerator noise yet acted surprised when we told her we had to unplug it to sleep at night. The mattresses on the bunk beds are not full mattresses and even doubled up on one bed, were terribly uncomfortable. There also had been several mentions over years of no shades on the windows. Better instructions on the use of the TV, in fact, having a real TV connection, would have been appreciated. We could never get the latch on the outer door to work when we left so always had to leave it open. It snowed a lot and we had no tools to clear it from the walkways. We had a tight schedule of activities often leaving very early in the morning and returning late in the day and could not keep contacting the host for issues that should not have been problems in the first place. All this said, if these things were fixed!!!!we would rent again.

Wonderful little cabin
We loved this cabin. It was the perfect size for four adults and the location made it easy to get in and out of Yellowstone. Loved the Elk that was walking down the street! Super clean. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Great view but
Beware. This place is tiny. Not especially clean. It’s a very poor section of town with broken windows etc The place does not have washer and dryer. The refrigerator was so loud that my husband said if he had a gun, he’d shoot it!

I can’t say enough great things about this property! Waking up to the view is worth it alone! We couldn’t have asked for a better location 2YNP.

Amazing location, great host
The eagles nest was perfect for our family (4 kids age 8 to 12) my wife and I. The sound of the river at night and the view was wonderful. We spent most our time out and about exploring the river, the northern portion of Yellowstone, and booked a rafting trip half a block away from the cabin... The kitchen was small, but well stocked and we had everything we needed. For families or friends that don't mind being in a little bit of tight quarters I highly recommend this location! The host was responsive, and getting into the property was very easy. Thanks for the great memories!

Short stay in beautiful MT!
This is a very cozy property, maybe a little too tight for a family of 6! We really didn’t spend much time at the cabin other than to sleep. The location was very convenient with stunning views of the Yellowstone River! This cabin was all that we needed for spending a long weekend in town for a family wedding. Thank you!

Family trip YNP
Gardiner was the perfect location for our family YNP trip.
The cabin was perfect for our family and great location in town. The only downfall was the WiFi service. Wanted to be able research next park locations in the evening or would like to have kids stream a movie. I think an additional wireless router would help.
Highly suggest rafting with Montana Whitewater Rafting company of staying a few days.

Just big enough, excellent location!
The cabin had just enough space for our family of 4 and the location is great for exploring the park during the day and getting some solitude at night. Our favorite part was sitting on the covered deck and listening to the river at night. Walking distance from a grocery store, restaurants, rafting places and only a 10 min drive to Yellowstone Hot Springs (we went twice!). We had a great stay!
