About this cabin rental

Welcome to the Timber Creek Cabin

A large living/dining area with vaulted, cedar ceiling and a rock-faced, wood-burning fireplace welcomes you as you enter this beautiful cabin. The open floor plan also includes a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of room for family-style cooking. There are 2 bedrooms w/ queen beds and bathroom w/ walk-in shower. the main floor is Handicap friendly.

Climb the stairs to the comfortable loft overlooking the living area, This floor also has 2 bedrooms w/queen beds, a sofa pull-out, and bathroom.

Make your way down to the lower level and enjoy the Family /Game room. Local TV only, DVD player. A wet bar with full refrigerator and sink is also located downstairs for your convenience, and a gas fireplace helps take the chill off our cool evenings. There are 2 bedrooms w/queen beds + 1 twin bunk, a sofa sleeper, bathroom, and laundry room coin operated washer & dryer.

Walk out onto the Deck from the main floor. There's plenty of outdoor seating, a gas grill and Hot Tub. (Hot Tubs are not available during the months of January & February). The yard includes a campfire ring w/ seating and plenty of room for outdoor fun and games.

We have 24 Hour Security Cameras on Property.

What a great experience,lodge was just as advertised. Perfect out of town location,6 couples,6 trucks & trailers,for 3 days we did trails & explored the area. The lodge was very clean,well maintained,we are all retired and so appreciate everything this property had to offer. We all agreed that if we come back to this area we would stay here again. Thank you so much!!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property was gorgeous and clean, great space for our large families, and the kids loved having horses right next to the house to pet and eventually ride at High Country! It took a while for the hot tub to warm up the first night and the WiFi was slower due to the location of the home, but we loved our stay regardless! Matthew was very friendly and accommodating the whole time. We wished we would have had more time to spend at the VRBO rather than our and about even! Would stay again!

Great house with great location! Our kiddos loved watching the horses run by everyday and even graze behind the house. We also loved the location right on the Mickelson Trail as we rode our bikes everyday.

The cabin was wonderful! Matthew did a top tier job of checking on us to make sure we had what we needed. You can’t beat this scenery either- who doesn’t love country, beautiful sunrise and sunsets, and horses! Location was great to Mt. Rushmore, Sheridan Lake, Cosmos and Rushmore adventure park. Also, just a quick drive to the grocery store: We will definitely stay again!

We had a weekend wrestling tournament in Custer. We found this cabin last minute that would fit all of us together! It was awesome! Great location, clean, everything we needed. And Matthew popped in when we arrived and gave us the run down on everything! He was so nice!

Everything about the stay was top notch! Matthew was incredibly friendly and accomodating. The location was beautiful. Nestled in a small valley with a horse farm on one end so we could see horses running behind the house daily. Bonus. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!!

Family Vacation - 13 Total. Cabin was absolutely perfect and Matt was readily available to answer all our questions and recommend great places to eat! Alpine Inn and Magiamos!! Highly Recommend staying here. Watching the horses in the morning with the Black Hills in the background was surreal. We will definitely be coming back and recommending to our friends and family. Thank You!!

From beginning to end, from top to bottom and side to side, the cabin and the mgr. Matthew were the absolute best. The cabin is gorgeous, spacious, well kept snd had everything you need. The mgr. Matthew is one of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet. He's very attentive to your needs and ready to please. We won't look anywhere else but here for our msny Black Hills trips.

This was our first time in South Dakota and Mt. Rushmore was a bucket list item to check off. Even with some weather challenges our trip exceeded all expectations. The location is aBailey perfect for all attractions which are 30-60 miles apart. We loved having evenings by the fire pit, jacuzzi and plenty of space for our family in the cabin. It’s spotless and has absolutely everything needed at the trip. Mathew was an amazing host and we enjoyed having conversations with him. We got to learn A LOT of history of the area and met a lot of great people. We will definitely be back as we did not get a chance to do everything we wanted in the short six days there.

I was looking to get away for a quick trip with my 10 year old son and 72 year old dad. I found this location and couldn't have been luckier! As advertised and even better, plenty of room, centrally located close to Mt Rushmore and Crazy horse. Very serene and quiet. Very relaxing and I will be referring this location to my friends and family. Thanks for letting us enjoy!

We had a group of 15, kids, young adults and seniors. Everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is so comfortable. No one ever felt crowed even with that size of group. Anyone looking for a cabin for a large group summer or winter we highly recommend the Timber Creek Cabin. Last but not least, Matthew was a wonderful host who made us feel at home.

Everything from start to finish was just right. Communications with the host, Matthew, was very efficient and easy. Matthew greeted us on arrival and checked with us daily to see if we required anything. He was very friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. The house is in a good location with access to Hill City and all the outdoor things we came to do such as having good trail access for our UTV’s. The house was comfortable and as advertised. Parking was good for our three trucks and trailers. Overall, a great host, property and experience.

We enjoyed the hot tub and views! There was tons of space to enjoy. We used the kitchen to make dinner each evening and I loved everything in the kitchen. It was too cold but the outdoor area would of been fun for a campfire! It was close to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wildlife, Good Shopping, and Little market to buy groceries. We enjoyed our mini getaway here.
