the location was great . didnt get breakfast but brunch it was really good just had to go get my breaksfast card otherwise it would of been 47 dollars which is really high
i didnt like that we had to sit around waiting for heater towarm up room and it never did so had to have maintance come and then he couldnt fix it so had to change rooms and never got a aplozy or a discount for the room and almost had to pay for our brunch until my daughter went and told them . we paid alot of money for one night and it wasnt worth it

Great breakfast, good location.
Amanda was great and very accommodating .
Our room 111 was in a pretty noisy area, but was close to the stairs.

Loved the warm mineral water pools!
Never having to see or talk to a staff member at all made check-in and check-out very easy - but it also felt a bit eerie and impersonal. It would be nice if they could find some way to compensate for the lack of a personal touch (e.g., a personal note in the room saying who and how to contact if needed.

Breakfast was good.
A lot of hidden fees in the price. It seemed really expensive for what it was.

The staff was wonderful!
Thin walls. Could hear others in theirs rooms.

Food was good but a bit more limited than I hoped. Staff was amazing and friendly. Spa services were stellar!
Seems a bit expensive....appreciate all the amenities and the fact that it's within walking distance of the town but I think it was a bit overvalued.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
I’ve gone here in the past and it was lovely, the spa experience has gone downhill. The water had a lot of chlorine in it. It is supposed to be thermal water fed but we smelled chlorine very strongly on our skin. Also, we got locked out of the hot pool twice and the pump broke so that we couldn’t use the hot pool in the morning. It is winter, we paid 400. for a spring fed spa experience and had to run around in the cold to find staff to let us in.
Also, I got a massage and the room was shared with a loud stranger (just a curtain between us).

Enjoyed the hot springs and "feel at home" ambiance
Bed, not too comfortable

3.5
The room decor and design of the bathroom/shower. The location. The mineral pools.
I wouldn’t stay here again because: 1) too close to the main road and traffic was loud at night. Possibly construction trucks, as well as regular traffic. 2) I was emailed the day before check-in giving me the option of checking in online, which I did. I was then charged $84. The day of check out I asked about the charge. I was told something to the effect it was due to amenities and after checking out the fee would be refunded. Two days later I looked at my credit card app and noticed it had been reduced from $84 to $34. I called and was told it was for a “resort fee.” I asked what are “resort fees,” and the word “gift” was used in the explanation, in addition to other descriptions of amenities. I asked, “So, I’m being charged for a “gift” of oil that I was given at check-in?” Her reply was “it’s a resort fee.” Maybe this is how all resorts work? Had I known I was going to be charged for the oil and the water in the room, I would have kindly said no thank you. In my opinion, it’s a shady business practice. If I ever stay at a resort in Calistoga again, I’ll inquire about resort fees before accepting a “gift.”
The mineral baths at Indian Springs were more appealing to us and thats where we went for a mineral bath.

it was clean and the pools and hot tub was nice.
The bed was okay, not super comfy.

Attractive outside spaces. Cushioned chairs by pool but many marked were reserved but no one was using them? Lupe at the pool was great. Jose at front desk was awesome!
Bartender and waitress on 9/08 were rude to us. Outdoor pools too cold. Over-priced. Ice machine broken and the no ice in the bar. It was 107 outside.

We loved the pools, outdoor swings, bar/restaurant, corn hole lawn games, easy parking and excellent customer service. The beds were very comfortable & the room was very clean. We especially loved that the resort was family and dog friendly. I really appreciated check-out being at noon, so we were able to enjoy the pools in the morning too. If you're traveling with your pup and want a comfortable place to stay on the Main Street in town, I recommend Dr. Wilkinson's.
Even though the room was large, I felt a little claustrophobic due to the window looking out into the covered hallway and beyond where the giant indoor hot tub was.

funky vibe; good detailed touches; great location; solid staff

The spa services were amazing. We did mud baths which were so fun and relaxing. Our attendant was great.
The bar staff was also super attentive. We appreciated that we could get a drink delivered to the mineral pools. They also supplied aromatherapy for the room which smelled fantastic and great reusable water bottles in the rooms. The whole property was super cute like a modern 1960s retreat.
We did kill a few bugs in our room and could hear foot traffic from upstairs.
