This was our group second stay at this house. We are group of 8 golfers playing in the Killarney area.
The last time we stay was pre-Covid in 2019, they were going to redo all the bathrooms, and they came out great.
Ever room has a shower, a double size living room, well stocked kitchen and laundry.
I would recommend this place if you are golfing in the area.
The on site property manager is great and quickly, address our only one small issue.

Great place. Great location. Walkable to Killarney center. My only issues were the checkin and check out instructions and wifi access.

Perfect for a 3-4 day golf vacation. We played 3 courses within an hours drive. A 5 minute drive to Killarney for dinner, drinks and entertainment. The house is in a neighborhood that is a bit hard to find. This house seems to be the best one. We did not cook in the unit, but seems to have everything you need, minus an ice maker. Perhaps a stand alone maker would be a nice addition. Nice backyard with a table. A farm in the backyard which offers a nice view from 2nd floor bedroom. Instant hot water. Steam and sauna, unfortunately no time for that.
Good communications with owner and local guy.
Suggestion, turn one of front formal rooms into game room with pool table.

Our family and family friends had a wonderful week here in Killarney! The accommodations were first class and Roger, the property manager, was as nice and helpful as they come. Great experience for our first stay in Ireland!!

Their property was great for 8 golfers. Out initial contact with the local property manager was terrible. When we figured out the contact number and could communicate everything was fine.

Fantastic property and location, exactly as per description. We were a group of 8 friends looking for a large house in Killarney and this was a great match for us. Good sized bedrooms and a large living and dining space. A short drive from the centre of town.

Family Wedding
We had a family wedding in the Gap of Dunloe. Having 6 bedrooms each with their own bathroom was perfect for our group! Roger, the property manager, was very helpful during our stay. Wish we had had more time to enjoy hanging out in the house all together, but we had family events each day. Great house!

Fabulous house, perfect for a large group
The house is amazing and in a lovely location. The size is perfect for a large group, with plenty of space and bedrooms. Majority of bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and the place was spotless. 100% would stay here again!

An excellent spacious house with everything supplied
Very impressed with management who sorted out our extra request for towels within 15 mins plus provided a new microwave. Plenty of space for 16 people which included children. Would highly recommend this property for a large family gathering.

Excellent House, well fitted and stocked, in a quite neighbourhood
The house is spacious, clean and modern and is very comfortable. The house is well fitted and has some useful kitchen utensils and gadgets. The sauna was well used by our group and a welcome luxury that worked well. The beds were very soft and comfortable, and we had no issues with things like hot water or heating. The property manager was very responsive, always immediately giving us a call back when we needed some info.

Recommendations
A welcome pack would be helpful. Information on bins and recycling is necessary. Some taps and lights did not work and one of the toilets was very noisy. Other than this the house was lovely and we would definitely consider coming back. Thanks

Great Stay
We had a group of eight golfers staying for seven night. The house worked great. Everyone thought the house was better then in the pictures.
Roger was great met us within twenty minutes of calling as we arrived in Killarney. He was very helpful getting everyone settled in.
We had a driver and van which dropped us in town at night and it was a ten euro cab fare home.
I have already recommended this to several people who are looking at a trip over next year.
Great place to base your trip from.
Only downside was not sports package on the cable, so we couldn’t see the golf without going to town.

Everyone loved it
We all really enjoyed the relaxed and homey feel of this house. The property had all the basics you would need in the kitchen and other rooms to make you feel at home. The location was perfect! We rode our bikes in the National park every morning. The only down side would be the floors up stairs are very loud. If you have a light sleeper in the group it could be a problem. The beds were very comfortable and the decorations very well done. We would return to this home if we ever make it back.

Wonderful stay for our family (8 total guests)
Clean, spacious and wonderful accommodations. Plenty of showers, and big kitchen for gathering. Really enjoyed our stay here. It's about a mile + walk into town, but we enjoyed it ... and used taxis for late night. Would highly recommend.

What an amazing experience
Wow, pictures and words do this rental home no justice. This home perfectly suited 8 golfers. The house was impeccably clean, well appointed and in close proximity to Killarney. Roger , the property manager in Killarney was more than hospitable, opened the home for us and even did our grocery shop and loaded everything into the home so that when we arrived we were ready to go. This is better than a 5 star hotel. FANTASTIC!!! Made our trip that much more enjoyable.

Perfect home away from home.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house in Killarney Ireland. The location is perfect especially to the National Park for great walking and jogging trails. There is so much to do within an hours drive it is hard to fit it all in.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.

A true Sanctuary
We stayed at the Sanctuary this past weekend and were truly impressed by the house. A great location for large or small groups and perfect for golfers. It was close to town and centrally located for all of the major golf courses in the area. Definitely recommend staying here if you plan on visiting the Killarney/Kerry area.

Absolutely Fabulous
If you are a large group (as were we), this is just the perfect place to stay! Each couple and single had their own bedroom with en suite and we all had a place to go so no one got on others' nerves. The house is spacious, well-appointed, and we'll furnished. The single downside would be location, and even that wasn't a problem if you rent a car or use taxis and the Red Bus to get to town or tour the park if it is raining a lot. I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone!! Thank you for sharing it Roger. Matt Dailey 6/'17

A Winner
Our group of eight golfers was very impressed with this house. It is spacious and quite nice. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining area makes a great place to gather. The location makes a great base from which to play the great courses in the area. We would rent this place again if we are in the area.

Wonderful stay in Killarney
We stayed in this beautiful home outside of the town center for six nights earlier this month. The home is in great condition, all modern amenities and very comfortable. Great for large groups, we were a family of thirteen and had plenty of room. No trip is without its hiccups and we had an issue with hot water but was resolved quickly by the property manager within 24 hours. Would definitely go back without hesitation.
We had a wonderful time, thank you!!!

Our family of 10 loved our time here!
This was the perfect rental property for our 10 day trip to Ireland. Killarney was a great location with easy central access to our other locations of interest. The perfect hub.
Large, well decorated and clean property. Roger was very responsive to the minor issues that had. Having the onsite laundry was a lifesaver and the house was well stocked with any of the kitchen gadgets that we needed. On a side note: the long hallway between the kitchen and living room was perfect for endless games of indoor dodgeball! (with a super soft, non-damaging ball, of course).
We can't wait to go back and stay at The Sanctuary again!

Beautiful, modern house in a great location. Perfect for a group!
We stayed at this property for the first week of our extended family vacation. Everything was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the home was full of amenities. Each bedroom was spacious and roomy, almost all with private bathrooms and many with walk-in closets and/or plenty of room to hang or unpack your clothing.
The location was fabulous as well. The home is right next to Killarney National Park, and Killarney Riding Stables are adjacent to the entrance to the property, so we took advantage of that and enjoyed Muckross House, Torc Waterfall, Ross Castle, and a beautiful horseback ride through the park. We also took day trips to Dingle, Cobh, Cork and Shannon, and enjoyed Killarney center which is a short walk or an even shorter drive away. There are several grocery stores within 5 to 10 minutes of the home, making it easy and convenient to cook at home when we wanted to, and several great restaurants nearby when we wanted to eat out.
I would highly recommend this house!
A quick tip for the ladies: While hairdryers are provided (and very good ones, at that) there are no outlets in the bathrooms, other than those for electric shavers. (I've found that this was true in the hotels we stayed at as well, so perhaps this is a safety code in Ireland?) In several of the bedrooms, the only mirror is in the bathroom and the hairdryer cords will not reach that far. If your beauty routine requires a mirror, bring an extension cord!! There were six women in our group and we all had to take turns borrowing the master bedroom to do our hair, since it was the only room with a full-length mirror and an adjacent outlet. :-)

Five Star Resort
Over the years, I have rented many Guesthomes in Ireland. The Sanctuary is by far the nicest one to date. The decor, furnishings, amenities and location make this a house I would recommend without hesitation. This house has it all!
Upon arrival, the first thing our large group noticed was how beautifully decorated every single room is. One really feels at home. We also made mention of how comfortable the furniture and beds are. Combine fine furnishings, a well designed floor plan with spacious gathering areas and you are on to a winner.
We also enjoyed all of the great appliances in the Gourmet Kitchen and laundry room. Having a full size washer and dryer was a treat. The kitchen also boasts three refrigerators, a wine cooler AND a stand alone freezer. We cooked up some fine meals!:)
The location of The Sanctuary is also very appealing. It is a short walk through The National Park into the beautiful town of Killarney. Every day, we took mini road trips exploring Kerry and Cork and were always able to make it home with plenty of time to make dinner and drinks. We didn't play golf this time but I can't wait to make it back to enjoy all those fine course We drove by this time.
Many, many thanks for sharing your home!

Amazing house!
The Sanctuary was a fantastic house for our extended family trip to Ireland. Being together at the house really made this a memorable experience because we were able to hang out together. We had 16 people stay and we were able to entertain the larger family group here as well. The bedrooms were all very well appointed - comfortable beds, down pillows, great linens and each with their ensuite. Many enjoyed the spa room with the sauna and steam shower after a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped for entertaining and plenty of space for food and drinks between the multiple refrigerators. Roger was very helpful upon our arrival and helping us set up the grill. We had hired a motorcoach for our large group and didn't rent cars and Roger provided names for taxi drivers that were prompt and friendly and it was only 5-7 min ride into town - we probably could have walked. Gorgeous views out the back of the house and quiet lovely neighborhood. Loved staying here!

Loved this house!
We rented the house for a week in June for a family trip (6 adult couples). Finding the house was a little tricky as 2 different GPSs took us to a town called Killorglin which is 20km away (Note - don't try to use a Garmin Nuvi with an updated Europe database). I finally put the house into my iPhone map software and it took us right there. The house layout was perfect for the amount of people we had; beds, linens, pillows, duvets super comfy; the spa was divine and everyone LOVED the sauna; kitchen very well appointed (we cooked in several times) and I'm not sure what a previous reviewer was talking about - there is service for at least 12 including dishes, flatware, wine glasses, etc. as well as beautiful white serving dishes and everything you could need to cook and serve meals for an army. We even grilled out one night on the new grill! We did have a hard time finding some food items - went to Lidl which is an Aldi-like store down the street and finally started shopping at Tesco. Much appreciate the Netflix hookup as it was very nice to watch a movie and unwind at the end of a long day touring. The location of the property is great (end of a quiet cul-du-sac) and although it's a bit of a trek to town the walk is very doable on flat sidewalks and walking trails. We rented bicycles one day and rode to Ross Castle which was fun and also did a 1-hour horseback trail ride from the stables at the entryway to the sub division which I would highly recommend (Killarney Riding Stables). The views from the trail in the national park were stellar! Location of the house is great for day trips. We did the Dingle tour, Cork, Limerick, etc. We loved all the local pubs, live music and especially the friendly people. The town itself is very large and has tons of dining and shopping opportunities (free shipping from the woolen mills to the states!) and a beautiful cathedral which is open to the public. Thanks so much to the owners for putting together such a lovely rental property! Can't wait to come back and actually golf next time.

Fantastic house that help create a memorable weekend
I booked this house back in October 2014 for my Dad's 60th birthday celebration and can conclude there was not one bit of disappointment. Everything in the house was a big hit.....the sauna that help tired bones, the underfloor heating that created an evenly warm house, copious amounts of hot water for showers and baths, the smart TV that showed all the photos from our kayaking adventure, the well equipped kitchen that helped prepare the Easter Sunday dinner.....this house ticked every box for us as a family comprising of 12 adults and 3 toddlers. The location is just a 20 min walk or 7 min cycle to the town centre. The National Park is just across the road where you can enter and use the walking/cycle track to take you into the town rather than using the main road footpath. The estate the house is located in is quiet and safe enough for kids to play on the street and also my 5 adult brothers had a great time kicking a ball around and entertaining their niece/nephews!! The whole family absolutely gave this weekend a thumbs up and the accommodation too!! Roger and his crew have done a fantastic job creating a house with the right ambience that leaves lasting memories for us. Thank you.

Not at all what we expected.
I have been doing small group tours in Ireland and the British Isles for the past 15 years and often visit Killarney. On several of our tours we hire large self catering properties and in all of our 15 years I can honestly say that this was our biggest disappointment! Even though we arranged an arrival time and called ahead a half our before our arrival we were only told to collect the key from the back of the property and let ourselves in. This was the first time we had not been personally greeted. We then arrived into a house that we had to figure out everything on our own and also clean most of the kitchen and plates and glass ware before we used them. We were quite dismayed to find the kitchen so inadequately prepared for entertaining and that we had plastic dishes and glasses to use. I was so embarrassed that our guests started out their holiday with us. All of the ladies on the tour with us stated that it was very obvious that nobody who cooked or entertained had ever done a walk through of the kitchen. This was the least well equipped kitchen I have ever experienced in self catering hire. I expressed my concerns to the property manager when he showed up, but he immediately let us know that he was not responsible for anything! This became even more apparent when we ran our of propane less than 24 hours after arriving. Imagine my embarrassment when my guests were not able to take showers the next morning! We were promised all kinds of things that were never delivered on and left with a very bad taste in our mouths. We were assured that they had never had any complaints before and as such we should be very happy with the comfortable beds and the newest fiber optic internet, but what we were hoping for was a comfortable home to cook and entertain in and we were very much disappointed!
