Great cozy house property was really cute. It has a private pool and jacuzzi. Lake is behind the house. We had a great time here.

Wife and I spent the weekend here for an anniversary getaway. Beautiful house, and a nice little cabin also available on the property for additional guests. The pool and hot tub were great options for relaxation, in addition to the bbq pit, fire pits, and multiple tables and chairs arranged around the quiet property. The back porch was perfect for romantic evenings, and there is a swing on the back edge of property partially overlooking canyon lake. The only down side i can think of was the lack of coffee for the coffee maker, but there are stores nearby that easily remedied that.. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. Thanks!

We stayed here a couple days while we explored Texas Hill country. The house is so charming, clean, and beautiful. Our teenagers loved the cabin and having their own bathroom. The outdoors area was so fun and cute! We were so comfortable staying in the cabin lake house. We definitely recommend and also hope to stay here again.

Having lived in New Braunfels, when it was time to celebrate my mom's 90 birthday, my part of the family need a place close where we all could stay. After searching, we found this place. It met all expectations

My friends & I booked this charming cottage for our Labor Day Wknd trip this year! The property owner had GREAT communication & was very informative! The perfect spot if you are trying to get away from they city to enjoy the outdoors. My personal favorite was sitting on the porch swing during a rain storm. We also enjoyed the hot tub & spending time inside the main cottage where there were games, a tv & every necessity we could of needed to make our family dinners! HEB was a good 25 minutes away but we didn't mind because we got to drive through hill country & saw many deer! Overall very pleased with our stay on Canyon Lake!

The cottage came as advertised. To sum it up there is the main cottage with 1 bedroom and a pool house with 2 beds . They come together. Pool and Hot tub are safe from small children getting in without adult supervision. Very quite and Rosie was great !

This area is very beautiful. The layout of the cottage is perfect with a nice large comfy living room space for you to lounge and engage with family. The "front" porch is large and has a beautiful view of the lake. We sat out there each morning sipping coffee and enjoying the lake and wildlife. The cookout area is perfect for cooking and everyone hanging out together during the process. There are several pockets of seating around the property so you can spread out and hang together. The store was 10 min drive and not as far as we thought it would be. The main cottage is vintage. It is amazing how sturdy things were built in years past. When we were there in March the temperatures were perfect. The kitchen was stocked with enough cooking and eating utensils. I would suggest bringing your own cooking supplies like olive oil, sauces, sugar, etc. There are some spices, but not a lot of lingering leftover stuff from previous renters. For coffee, they had filters but bring your own grounds and maybe filters to be safe. We came prepared so everything was perfect. There are neighbors, but they were quiet as church mice and far enough away you feel private. The property is large and a real gem. We have older children, but this place would be a lot of fun for all ages with the hot tub and pool and lake.

The house is well kept and considering it’s age very well kelt and everything was working very, clean bath room, great shower/tub, full working kitchen. Excellent location, close the lake/lake view and very relaxing set up with plenty of space to roam around. Wonderful hottub and the owner did a great job leaving instructions for everything.

Originally rented as a 4-women sister escape, our plans changed. I ended up bringing my husband, and 15 & 9 year old sons. We used it as a home base for walking around the lake, and then drove out for some shopping (everybody was happy about something).
There is an inviting atmosphere once you drive onto the property, as the home and cabin are really set up for coziness, yet private, depending on who is in your travel group.
We had plenty of space for groceries and cooking. We had no issues with check in, or electrical , or plumbing. Loooooved the generous sized tub in main house.
There is a beautiful front porch set up in the trees, to enjoy your morning coffee. It was a great place to unwind, and unplug. But if you need to stay connected, there are TVs to tune into, and WiFi throughout.
I highly recommend this booking. It met every need.

We stayed here with a group of 4 adults and 2 small children over a long weekend in August. This is a property with a lot of potential, but there are some things that anybody considering staying here should be aware of prior to booking.
Pros:
Large above-ground pool, nice hot tub. A large canvas for shade covering most of the pool. Both were clean and well-maintained.
Good location - Very brief walk behind the property to a nice view over the lake. There are neighboring properties but the house and cabin felt secluded, lots of trees for privacy. 5 minute drive to several boat ramps on Canyon Lake
Separate cabin/main house
Outdoor fire pit and grill area (it's a charcoal grill, not propane)
Cons:
It is an older home with no central HVAC (window unit A/C only). There are several units in the main house that do a pretty good job of keeping the house cool. There is only one window unit in the cabin, and the owner advises not to turn the unit below 75F or the unit may freeze. If you like it cool when you sleep, the cabin is probably not for you.
No WiFi
No dishwasher
Due to the home's age, most of the windows/doors are not well sealed. There are screens on the doors and windows, but bugs still have a pretty easy path into the house. There were spider webs in about half of the corners inside the main house, and all over the outside of the house, cabin, and porches. All of the window screens are plugged with dead bugs.
We were advised by the owner to bring our own pool towels, lighter fluid+charcoal, firewood, and cleaning supplies. These are also simple amenities that would add to the comfort of guests. We were left with only 2 trash bags for 4 days and ran out quickly.
Overall, we had an OK visit and very much enjoyed the pool and outdoor areas, but we never really felt comfortable or able to relax due to the bugs and A/C issues in the cabin. Bugs are going to be prevalent outside given the location, but more could be done at this property to try to keep them outside of the house/cabin. It seems that some small upgrades (replace/add a window unit in the cabin, clean the window screens periodically, have the doors refitted or add better sealing around the frames, etc.) would go a long way to ensuring the comfort of guests.

The property was described accurately. The home is rustic (AC window units and no wifi) however that did not impact the visit and added to its charm The stove needs to be leveled and the fridge froze veggies. The owner was very responsive to questions. I would recommend the property especially in you want a beautiful view, plenty of deer and the cardinals were lovely.

A quick getaway
We stayed 2 nights at this sweet little property over spring break. Our family of four enjoyed the guest cabin where the beds were comfy and the space was perfect. Our friends stayed in the main cabin where they had their own room and where we did all of the cooking. There were so many different sitting areas around the property to enjoy depending on the time of day. Whether we wanted to sit on the porch and sip our coffee, lounge and look over the lake on the swing, or sit by the barbecue pit and hot tub during the evening. We were able to walk the bank and do some fishing, where my son caught three good sized bass. We watched the deer come in in the morning and evening times. The house and cabin were neatly kept and very accommodating. Sue was very easy to get in touch with throughout the process. We will be booking again.
