Grazie, grazie, grazie. Sicuramente torneremo con la bella stagione. E non vediamo l'ora!

I loved all the experience! The host were the best, made us feel at home in the best way.
The breakfast and dinner was perfect! Even gluten free options for us. The location is just beautiful, the view is stunning and very close to interesting towns. Would love to come back again! The place would be great for families as for couples.

My recent stay at Covo del Solengo with my girlfriend and two toddlers was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we arrived until the time we reluctantly said our goodbyes, we were embraced with open arms into this family-run bed-and-breakfast, making us feel like an extension of their own kin.
The family-friendly atmosphere at Covo del Solengo is unparalleled. Our little ones were over the moon with excitement as they discovered the plethora of activities available to them. The trampoline, football field, and swimming pool kept them endlessly entertained, and I must admit, even the adults found themselves joining in on the fun.
What truly sets Covo del Solengo apart is their genuine love for nature and farm life. The food served was an absolute delight, and it warmed our hearts to know that the ingredients were sourced straight from their own farm. Ada's culinary magic continued to amaze us, and every meal was a testament to the bountiful harvest of their land. The farm-to-table experience added a unique touch to the meals, making them not only delicious but also an authentic representation of the region's flavors.
The conversations we had with Francesco and his father were enlightening and enriching. It was evident that the entire operation at Covo del Solengo was a labor of love and a true family affair. Listening to their stories about running the farm, the heritage of the place, and the love they pour into their business gave us a deeper appreciation for our stay. It felt like we were living a piece of their family history, and it created a meaningful connection that transcended the typical guest-host relationship.
The picturesque mountain views and the comfortable accommodations provided a serene backdrop to our unforgettable family vacation. The rustic charm of the rooms and the surrounding landscapes made us feel like we were living in a storybook setting.

It was very beautiful, the landscape and the view was truly amazing. Loved the food and that many things were homemade, for example cheese and milk from the goats on the proberty. The hosts were so nice and made everything perfect.

We have spent a wonderful time in this Agroturismo. The owners were extremely nice providing everything we needed, superb food and wine. Home made pasta, ham and cheese were excellent. Italian hospitality at its best! Definitely recommend this Agroturismo for both families and couples!

We loved absolutely everything. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was absolutely lovely, the view was absolutely unforgettable, but especially, the family was so kind and made you feel at home. The location was also ideal to visit Umbria, and that's exactly what we did. Visiting, eating, and enjoying the view ! Special thanks to Francesco for his excellent music recommendations (Champs d'honneur) and for teaching me how to milk a goat ! Ada, we miss so much your truffle pasta, nothing compares to it ! When we'll return to Umbria in the coming years, we will only come back there.

They completely deserve their high score and even more.

The property location provides gorgeous views of a vast, beautiful mountain region with Assisi and Spello behind the ridge. There are scenic country drives to both cities one can choose over highways. The property is an excellent base for exploring the many charming towns of Umbria.
We had a large comfortable country style room with a well-equipped bathroom. The heating system was perfect, which was much appreciated during some chilly autumn nights. WiFi was very good.
Breakfast is served in a charming dining room with a wood burning stove, adjacent is a comfortable lounge area that features a big fireplace. And there is a large patio and picnic area with amazing views of the surrounding region.
All of this was topped by our hosts, Ada and Francesco. Making us welcome and comfortable beyond expectations seemed in their nature. And they always surprised us with something special. Here are some examples. Upon noticing my wife’s difficulties with stairs due to a recent injury, they offered an alternate room as an upgrade free of charge. The broad selection of excellent breakfast items included lots of items from their farm, which often were unique variations with an edge over what we found at restaurants and places offering Italian specialties. We enjoy a glass of wine before dinner and Francesco promptly set us up on our private patio with local wines and snacks. We gladly accepted the option to have dinner at the property on several nights. Ada’s cooking took typical local dishes to another level from what we had experienced elsewhere. Her wild boar dish, for instance, was out of this world. Francesco added some of his items from the farm as appetizers and wine from local producers. Being seated near the wood burning stove on a chilly night made these dinners a highlight of our trip.
Being around Ada and Francesco, their lovely young daughter Ana and Francesco’s engaging dad in their charming country place left us with memories we won’t forget.

We stayed in Il Covo del Solengo for 5 nights, a family of 6 grownups.
We enjoyed very much from our stay.
The owners Ada and Francesco are charming and did everything to make our stay pleasant.
The rooms are comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was great. Also we ordered dinner for our last night there, and received a delicious vegan risotto with mushrooms (according to our request) and pizzas - everything was very tasty. We drank excellent wine in front of a fire that Francesco lit in their beautiful yard.

Il Cove del Solengo is a rare gem - a place of repose, a place of feeling welcome, a place of joy and conviviality with the wonderful hosts, Francesco and Ada. Even before we arrived, we received a welcome message, inviting us to join them for a dinner of grilled meats and vegetables produced at the farm. From that point onward, we were accepted into the family, eating and enjoying aperitivi every evening, and watching the incredible sunset over the beautiful Mount Subasio. Just ask, and like us you might find yourself wandering the hills of the farm with Francesco, looking for the goats to milk, or for the cows who went hiding the evening before. Or, like us, you could be invited to see the magnificent, wood fired oven, reaching 600 degrees Celsius, to imagine the home-made pizzas for later that evening. Each meeting with the hosts was a hearty exchange of stories, culture, and the joys of the good life.
The rooms and bathrooms are ample, well-furnished and clean. Even on the hottest days (we saw 38 degrees), the house remains cool and well-ventilated, a result of centuries-old materials and construction techniques. One of us had to take zoom call, and the wi-fi worked perfectly. There are generous indoor and outdoor common spaces for groups of all sizes. And it is certainly easy to find places to wander off on one's own!
Imagine a place where you can drink locally-produced wine, eat from the land in front of you (cheese, yogurt, meats, fruits, vegetables, jams, bread, prosciutto ...), enjoy expert cooking and preparation, brilliant company, fantastic views and night sky, and peace away from the city life. Francesco, Ada and family have invested a life of skill and joy into this place, and it shows in every detail.
There is nothing we did not like about this place.

Our stay was wonderful, and Ada and Francesco were absolutely perfect hosts, who went out of their way to ensure we felt at home and had a wonderful stay. The food was superb. Since this is real Agriturismo and a working farm, much of what we ate came from the farm and was incredibly fresh. We decided to eat dinner there every night after trying it once: Ada's cooking is spectacular and Francesco made us the best pizza we have eaten, using the wood fired oven. The wine was great! Breakfast was an abundance of delicious food, fresh juice, fruit and bread, fresh ricotta and yoghurt, in a perfect setting.
The location is wonderful, peaceful and tranquil, and the view lovely. We ate breakfast and dinner looking out on the mountains opposite and in the evening there were spectacular sunsets. Also worth pointing out that the wifi was powerful and supported numerous Zoom calls with no problem. Mobile signal was strong too. The rooms were very clean, and the beds very comfortable.
Covo del Solengo was an ideal choice for our family: our teenage daughters love animals and had so much fun feeding the cows, learning to milk the goats with Francesco, exploring the grounds and spotting families of wild boar, plus enjoying meeting the horses, dogs and other animals. They didn't want to leave! This was honestly one of the most enjoyable holiday experiences they have had, and I am sure we will be talking about it for years to come.
A word on the location: it was an easy drive for us to visit Assisi, Perugia, Spello and Gubbio, which are beautiful towns with interesting history and wonderful places to explore. We also love hiking, and had two separate days visiting the Monte Sibillini park: the landscape there is breathtaking and walks were just wonderful. We also enjoyed walks closer to the Agriturismo: we were spoilt for choice.
We have already recommended the Covo del Solengo to several friends and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We will be returning!
In all honesty, there was nothing we didn't like. It was exactly the kind of experience that we had hoped for, only better. Really, the only sad part was when we had to leave!

This is by far the best booking.com decision we have ever made. At Il Covo del Solengo you'll find the most beautiful, genuine, and heartfelt people, surrounded by stunning scenery. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived and the kindness and generosity the whole family showed us only got stronger as our stay continued. We arrived as guests and left as friends. This is a true home stay - you'll be privileged to live alongside the host family, and their many animals, in comfortable rooms, and within a completely natural environment. Ada, Francesco, Adrianno, Anna, and the rest of the family have poured their heart and soul into building this special place and all the personal touches are what will make your stay so memorable. We had the best time, we were so sad to leave, and we are already looking forward to our next stay. We can't wait to return and would entitely recommend you book.

One of the best places I’ve stayed at ever!! I traveled alone but Ada and Francesco did everything to make me feel welcome and at home. Most of the food (such as butter, cheese, yoghurt, marmelade, pasta) is homemade on the farm and it all tastes amazing :)
The rooms are pretty and clean and have good facilities.
The area is absolutely stunning - great for hikes and close to pretty towns like Spello and Assisi.
Will definitely come back here!
I was a bit optimistic about being able to get there with public transportation. Francesco and Ada were super sweet to give me a few lifts but next time I will come by car.
Wifi signal in my room was quite weak, but good in the common area.

It is what I call real Farm Stay with nature, animals and health food.
Would love to go back for longer stay.

Just what I needed! The setting is secluded and basically you return to another era, where nature is Queen and King.
Il Covo del Solengo (meaning wild boar) has 140 acres of green hills with farm animals, a horse, orchards, and a lot what is farmed or raised ends up at the dinner table. The hosts, Francesco and Ada, a young couple with a lovely 1 year old Anna, are wonderful, attentive, friendly, they put you at ease. The dinners that they offer at the community table is like the old families used to do, all together, talking, eating, drinking, enjoying life with friends.
I slept like a baby, the room was very big, with details of ancient construction, such exposed century old oak beams in vaulted ceilings, iron work and clever windows and doors locks.
I highly recommend this accomodation, I even joined them harvesting wood, gladily working together, as a family, for a much needed workout, after months of sedentary work. The evening after the work was memorable, exchanging tales of our life in USA and their life in Umbria (the greenest region of Italy) tired but extremely happy, meeting another couple from Sicily and one from Bologna, just met right then but ending with the promise to return here all together again. This is how it should be, host and visitors, friends, family.
Thank you Francesco and Ada, and all their extended family, (nonno Adriano and nonna Loredana), aunts and uncles and kids all helping for the common good, I will never forget this stupendous weekend.
