The location is central, near the bus station for the airport and almost 100m from the historic centre. Giovanna is very helpful with everything we asked.
I must be honest at the beginning we didn't like the neighbourhood but in the end we really loved it.
4.0
The location was great and it was really close to Duomo.
The hostess was quite friendly and supportive.
The house looked nice in general
For long stays it could be great to have a washing machine.
The bed was not so comfy.
Noise insulation was not good enough as you could hear lots of noises from outside and other rooms/apartments

Most friendly welcome! We got plenty of information about what to do and where to go. Communication was great, house is super cozy and well located.

Giovanna gave us a very warm welcome, which was much appreciated after a long day and a delayed flight, and we were soon asleep in the comfortable bed.
The flat is well-equipped with a nice kitchen and we enjoyed visiting the excellent fish market which is close at hand and cooking local produce.
The location is very central: five minutes from the Cathedral, ten minutes from the rail and bus stations; and there are some very good restaurants nearby.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Casa di Gio.
Our only suggestion would be for more kitchen utensils, especially knives, for preparing the excellent local fish and vegetables.

Close to the city centre, good size for 2 people, had a bottle of water left for us in the fridge, shower was good, someone came to meet us to let us in and gave a few tips.
Bright red long hairs found in and around the bed and pillows (I’ve got mousey brown hair half the length of these hairs found), windows single pane and hardly fit along with the front door so you can hear all the noise outdoors and it’s a busy road with scooters, wasn’t told of building works right outside the front door before arrival which was extremely loud early in the morning as I assume they were getting work done before it got too hot, Catania has quite a problem with waste and rubbish disposal (seen all around the city on pavements piled up higher than a person) and outside the apartment there was a pile of very old stinking rubbish and food which was delightful to step in when we arrived in the dark, the pigeons and rats were enjoying it though. Floors in the flat were quite gritty and skirting boards needed a clean.

We are really satisfied and thankful for our stay in Casa Vacanze di Gio. Though we booked it in the last moment and the flight was late in the evening Giovanna was responsive and we could fly feeling calm that we have a place to stay.
It’s cozy, clean, very italian and the location is really practical - few minutes from city center, bus and train station.
4.5
Just from the arrival it was perfect. Giovanna helped us get from the airport at a late hour without any trouble and no additional charge, she was very helpful and kind and helped us through the joruney, she was the best. The accomodation is nice and practical and beds are super comfortable.
The only thing we missed was WiFi and what would maybe need an improvement is a fridge. Apart from that everything was nice and cozy. The neighborhood looked kind of sketchy at first, but it is relatively quiet and safe (not clean though, none of the streets in Catania are, haha).

Located midway between the train/bus station and main attractions (Cathedral, fish market) in a quiet area. Very spacious, bright, clean and well equipped.

What a fantastic trip and a fantastic place to stay.
Giovanna the host was excellent, was always avaiable to answer questions, organised transport and gave a run down of where to find the best food in town.
As for the property, it was clean comfortable and great location, would definitely stay here again if I was to come back to Catania.
Don’t hesitate to book here - great place in a beautiful town.
