Great spot!
Easy to museums and metro.

Unit was extremely clean...everything seemed to be renovated/updated (appliances, washer/dryer, etc...). Location is in a residential neighborhood, felt very safe and quiet. Unit was very cool despite very hot temperatures outside. We didn't use the kitchen much but was fine for our needs. Beds were comfortable. Linens clean/new. This the lower floor unit of a multiple level home. Did not have any issues with noise above us and personally like having owners close by. Had a couple of quick interactions with owners, very helpful, kind and attentive. Would recommend and would rent again, if we return to the area. Thank you!

Our first trip to DC. My family of four (including 2 teens) fit comfortably in this space. It was clean and quiet. Having laundry machines on site was a plus. The kitchen could use a few more basic utensils (if you plan on cooking, check with owner on what you need). Small markets are within walking distance, albeit a ten minute walk. But you can Uber if you have a large haul. We did not have a vehicle; were able to walk to Metro station to get most places and Uber if needed. Owners were attentive when we checked in. A/C was much appreciated because of extreme heat. But there isn’t a way to control temp in the unit-you have to work with the owners (just an FYI). Bed was super comfy and sofa beds were too. WiFi and Netflix are available. Definitely a neighborhood feel, plan to walk a bit to find a restaurant. Felt safe, even walking in the late evening. I would stay there again.

Size of the apartment was perfect. Location was excellent. Unfortunately many things listed as perks were not available- no soap, coffee, etc. There is no
Back patio as advertised. Unfortunately we got locked out (because none of the instructions say to not lock the bottom like- as we do in our house so it was habit for my husband). Oh well except we sat outside for an hour with both kids repeatedly calling and messaging the contact number. We even chatted with Vrbo. Finally my husband called Vrbo and they had another number on file (I even asked that when chatting) and Fred answered and came right out. Phone numbers where guests can reach you in an emergency are important. After that Fred checked in every day and it was great.

Such a quaint place in an amazing area, close to the Capital! We will definitely stay here again if/when we visit DC in the future. The home was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed. We walked most everywhere but Ubers were easy when we needed them. Parking was a big concern for us when booking and it was very easy/convenient here (and free). Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place to stay and very convenient to access the museums and beautiful landmarks of our nation’s capital.

From the get go Carla and Fred made our stay great! We were welcomed with a parking spot on a street that finds them hard to come by at times. The location, the property, and the hosts were all top notch. I can’t recommend a stay here enough.

Carla and Fred were lovely hosts. It was a great and safe location. It’s a 30 minute walk to the nation’s capital or 15 minute walk to Metro at the lovely Eastern Market area. Everything was perfect. Only suggestion would be more water pressure in the shower, but a minor inconvenience and I would love to return!

This property is in an excellent location! Carla and Fred are excellent hosts. The property was comfortable for us as a place to rest after very busy days. While we did not use the kitchen, there was plenty if you plan to eat in during your stay. The location was an easy walking distance to many restaurants. We would love to stay here again when we visit in the future!

The Capital Hill community is a very safe, residential community where you see lots of people walking dogs and pushing baby carriages. Street parking was easier than expected. There were walkable coffee and food spots in several directions. Ubers to all our events were between $10-$20 and less than 20 minutes. Our hosts were lovely and the apartment was comfortable, well apointed and very clean.

We stayed at a bottom flat in the Capitol Hill district of DC. It is situated within about a 1/2 mile of Eastern Market. We used all forms of transportation to see the sites of DC: Metro, walking, bikes, scooters & an occasional Lyft.
The bungalow has everything you need; we were able to have breakfasts and bring in takeout for a few meals. The owner is really nice. She lives up stairs and helps out with recommendations for restaurants and attractions. We would definitely stay there again!

Location, location, location . That’s kinda sums up the advantage of staying here. We loved being a short walk to the National Mall area, lots of great restaurants in the East Market Area and Trader Joes. It’s just an unbelievable nice fun neighborhood for exploring DC. It’s a perfect area for running too. Also it’s easy to rent bikes from the Capital Bike share nearby . We enjoyed renting those and riding around one day. We didn’t need a car. We used Lyft some too.

Very comfortable stay! Bed was comfortable, linens were very nice, kitchen was well stocked (love cooking in the cast iron pans), washer and dryer were easy to use and so convenient. Shower was nice for a smaller bathroom. Plush towels. Never had a problem finding a good parking spot near the rental. Carla and Frederic were wonderful pleasant hosts and provided everything we asked for. Walked to the Capitol and around it, to Union Station and back to the rental. Took about 1-1/2 hours (with some time for sightseeing) and was a very nice easy walk. Had We, the Pizza delivered. Great pizza and service. Uber was the best way to see the city to avoid parking and to save steps. I wouldn’t hesitate to reserve this rental! 5 stars all the way!!

This was our perfect home base for enjoying all the sights of DC. It's a 15 min walk to the closest metro, so we were able to get around the city easily without the use of a car. Everything was clean in the unit and it was a very easy check-in and check-out. It was a bonus to have the use of a washer & dryer! I highly recommend this vrbo for a family vacation to DC!

Good Place in a Good Neighborhood
We choose this property because it was right in DC, and has three beds and a grill, both of which are hard to find. The apartment was clean and worked out well for us. We were able to make our breakfasts and dinners. With a text to the owner, we were able to find the NHL playoffs on the TV easily.
It is a quiet residential neighborhood, and we felt safe walking back from the bike station after dark. There are two bike share stations with a block or so, and a stop for the DC Circulator . (Capital Bikeshare is a great way to get around, as is the Circulator.) Trader Joe's & a Safeway are less than a mile away.
The LP tank on the grill ran out, but the hosts had a full tank on hand. The hosts were available when needed, but otherwise left us alone.
Other VRBOs we've stayed at all had a decent stock of spices. This one only had salt & pepper. Even a few staples like garlic and onion powder would be a big improvement. Also, there was no water available at the bathroom sink. But we got by.
The National Mall is very convenient when staying here, and it's very comfortable to return to and relax after taking in the DC attractions. The hosts were great, and I'd stay here again.

Fantastic location, nice walk to Capital buildings, monuments and a variety of eating options. Carla (host) made everything easy - and was very personable. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location for DC stay
The apartment is perfectly located for access to the Metro, grocery shopping and good restaurants. Our host went above and beyond when our arrival was delayed by six hours and she had a great pizza waiting when we finally arrived. Great experience!

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The landlords were amazing and kind people, and were very helpful.

Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful time in DC. This location was close to everything. We rented bikes and scooters which was a lot of fun. The apartment was so cozy that we actually slept in every day. The only hiccup was arriving at 2 am and being confused around how to get in since the key code isn’t visual without opening the door. Otherwise it was great!

DC Family Trip
Communication prior to visit was difficult and was not able to check in at the expected time. Once we checked in host was friendly and checked on us. Property was clean and beds were comfy. It’s a bit of a walk to downtown but bike share and scooters were available nearby.

Diamond in the rough
First off, the host was friendly and responded to my communications rapidly. If I had an issue, she worked to get it resolved. Due to covid at the time of our visit, we didn't meet in person, so I would love to return again for that reason alone.
The location is in a great spot for walking the streets to nearby business and looking at the classic row houses. Parking can be tricky but don't let that stop you.
Some of the amenities were not available due to construction of the property next door, but I wasn't at this location to stay in the suite. (this is the meaning behind diamond in the rough)
I would also warn taller people to watch the ceiling height in the main walkway from the front to the bedroom. I bumped my head a few of the evenings.

DC get away
Another fun visit to DC. This was our second stay at this property.
Great location! Easy walk to the Capital, Eastern Market shopping and many, many restaurants. Always felt very safe. Super quiet & comfortable bed.
Easy to communicate with Carla, always got a quick response to our questions.
Hope to visit DC and this property again.

The property was clean, well decorated and in a prime location! The owners were gracious and responsive and I enjoyed the peace and quiet in the neighborhood, just a short walk to our Nations capitol. Will most definitely stay again!

Cozy garden apartment in a fabulous neighborhood!
This property is exactly as described. It's very comfortable and in a lovely neighborhood! I loved walking through the streets from Eastern Market at all times of day and evening and the neighbors waved and greeted me like a local. Everything was clean beyond expectations, linens and European soaps were very enjoyable and it was great to have access to a full size washer and dryer. The back deck is lovely for reading a book or enjoying an evening beverage. The owners were away during my stay, but were incredibly attentive, friendly and accessible via text. A scheduling issue was remedied by the owners promptly and generously before we even knew it occurred. We couldn't have asked for more!

Clean, well equipped, with very pleasant hosts!
Our hosts went the extra mile in accommodating us when we arrived in Washington DC to find our initial VRBO host was not to be found. The check-in was a bit jerky due to previous guests checking out later than expected. The turn around for us took a little longer than usual but we were very grateful for having a place to stay for the week. The unit is well lit, which is necessary in a basement unit. It was very clean and well equipped. My only regret was that it was about a 20 minute walk to the nearest Metro and when you are depending on public transportation that meant walking 20 min. after a long day of walking in DC. We traveled with our grand daughter so the bed set up worked well since she is young enough she did not want to be in a room alone. All in all, I would recommend this unit if someone is looking for a nice neighborhood feel and knowing you would have to walk or Uber to restaurants and public transportation.

What you see is what you get-Only surprises are good ones!
My husband and I stayed in Chez Yonnet for a month in July allowing us to spend time with our new grandson who lived 2 blocks away. This space was large enough to host a cookout for 8 comfortably. The patio area is an added bonus with a nice full-sized grill which we used. I am a neat freak...and this place was very clean. Carla was so helpful getting us our parking passes and checking in on anything else we needed. We will always remember Chez Yonnet’s couch...a four-generation photo was taken there. I also enjoyed walking the park nearby and the close-to-walk markets and coffee shop. We also needed a cleaners and that was close too.

Great studio apt in nice neighborhood with very helpful owners!
Clean, comfortable apartment with everything you could need from full sized washer/ dryer to a Wii gaming system and HBO. The master bed is very comfortable and our sons each had sofa beds in the living room area that they said were also comfortable. The neighborhood is nice and felt safe.
The owners live right above the apt and were accessible and very helpful, like when we needed to find the nearest grocery store, figure out our map, and get more dish detergent.
The only negative for us was that it’s about a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro and about a 20 minute walk to the Capitol (and several more miles to get to the Lincoln Memorial, etc). With two children, we found it too far to walk everywhere and then walk back to the apartment so we ended up needing to use Uber (about $8-10 per ride).
We enjoyed our stay here.

Blocks from the Capitol
This facility was perfect for our family of three, and could easily accommodate a family of four. We took our bikes and were able to bike to the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and the Capitol in about 7 minutes. Carla welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. She has it decorated in a charming, welcoming way. All of the amenities were in great condition and very modern. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and close to the metro and a market place. I would definitely stay at this facility again.

Great place to stay!!
DC was a terrific place to visit, and staying here just made it that much more enjoyable. The place is a great little get away, situated in the perfect location. Very close to everything you want to see, but out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Carla and Fred were wonderful hosts and we had everything we needed for the perfect stay- including very comfortable beds and accommodations. Thanks for helping to make our stay perfect for our family of four!
