We loved our time at this house. It was absolutely huge with beautiful rooms and a lovely and well-maintained hot tub. It was perfect for our large family gathering. The host was very accommodating and helpful.

Awesome place and incredibly attentive hosts. Would give 10 stars!!!

Spacious nice cabin. Exactly as listed. Clean, everything worked and we had everything we needed. There were 12 of us, it rained all weekend and we had plenty of room to spread out or be together, as we wished. My only criticism would be that the screens need to be replaced and/or repaired. In really hot weather that we just had, it’s important to be able to open windows. Half or more of the screens were missing or had holes so could only use half of the windows to move air. Thank god it wasn’t in the high 90’s like the 3 days prior. I highly recommend this property.

The place is beautiful and the stay was fantastic. It is up a couple mile hill/road from the center of town, just long enough to make you feel you are out of the hustle. The property presents very well. The rooms are large for private space with 2 common rooms that are just as large for group time. The one suggestion would be to add a check in book of information, including necessary passwords (WIFI) and local attractions/restaurants. We had much of this in the interaction with the host through messaging but a book of suggestions and where to find certain things would be great to see on the table as you come in. Would definitely stay again.

If you'd like a change of scenery and to slow down a little, this location is very nice, spacious and most importantly relaxing.

Communication with owners was amazing. Heather was a great respondent and communicator.
We were able to get three generations under one roof for a quiet and relaxing family getaway. We shared old stories around the fireplace and played cards late into the night (which is ten thirty pm, for us).
Both my father and sister commented, at separate times, that the location was relaxing and peaceful.
The pictures represent the property correctly.
This was my first experience with VRBO and I am pleased that Heather helped guide us through.
Thank you!

We took a chance on booking this one for our 8 ppl- the picture of the house in the snow seemed too good to be true, lol. And it was- but that's because we had practically no snow, so no fault of the owner on that one. The house itself is huge, plenty of room and the common areas/kitchen are quite large. The location is absolutely perfect if you are skiing Okemo.
The hot tub, while a little dated, could easily hold 5 adults and probably 6, and a *very* nice touch was the owner provided separate hot tub 'only' towels.
Just a few things that we either didn't know about or where a little strange: I think the owner or caretaker lives on the first floor. We never saw him/her but their truck was there and it's clear that there is an apartment in the basement and we thought we would have the whole house. Not a big deal, we just didn't know (and again, it could be in the listing?)
There is a large grill on the deck for grilling out- but no grill tools/utensils (or at least we couldn't find them).
The fireplace is more of a 'wood burning stove' then a fireplace, even though it's huge. We had problems with smoke, (yes the flue was open! ;) ), and the only way to have it work was to close the glass doors, but the glass was sooty, so you really couldn't see the fire (but it was definitely blowing out hot air).
Finally, the owner was a fantastic communicator, and check-out was simple- trash out, dishes in dishwasher.. nothing crazy, thank goodness! 5 out of 5 stars!

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful cabin. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay but the host was incredibly responsive and took care of everything right away. All of the beds were very comfortable, hot tub in the snow was bliss, and we had a great time. Can’t wait to return!

My family and friends enjoyed our stay at Frank and Heathers house. The space was great for adult and kid hang time and the kids loved the bunk beds. It was a short drive from Okemo mountain and restaurants. They were great hosts as well. Thanks!

We had a great 3-night stay at this property. The home was as described in the listing and the pictures really didn't do it justice. We had 3 families in our group (6 adults and 6 kids) and we never felt cramped as there was plenty of space to spread out. The adults really appreciated having 3 king bed master suites while the kids had fun in the bunk rooms - and all the bedrooms were very large. Kitchen had everything we needed and the location was ideal for skiing. We had a few adults in our group that didn't ski and they dropped the skiers each morning at Okemo base lodge - was literally a 3-4 drive. Owners were very responsive to our questions ahead of our arrival and during our stay. Overall an excellent property and stay.

The house is roomy with a nice flow. As advertised, the bedrooms are spacious and spread out so that everyone has his/her own "space." The open floor plan kitchen and living room makes for a natural gathering area. The Christmas weather was lousy, but no fault of the homeowners. We'd stay there again.

The house is great, very large with many sleeping spaces. Everything was clean and well-appointed. I didn't find a tea kettle, but otherwise the house has everything you need. The fireplace is gorgeous and heats the living room well. One suggestion would be to have a handbook of information in the house. I had a lot of questions about little things, and the host was wonderful and responsive but it might make their lives a little easier too!

Great cabin, neighborhood, lots of kitchenware and room for many people, only thing lacking was some porch and deck furniture and an outdoor fire pit.

We were Wowed from the moment we walked in. This is a truly beautiful cabin with the charm of a log cabin and all the modern amenities you could need.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. And the hot tub was wonderful.

We were thrilled with our recent stay here. The house is huge and the rooms are all very spacious. It was very clean and comfortable. We ran into one minor issue with a smoke alarm and the property manager responded back immediately and we were able to resolve it. Kitchen was very well set up for cooking a big dinner. We hope to come back during ski season!

The house was great for our group of 6 adults and 5 kids under 7. Big bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and the house was clean. The location was convenient as well. The owners are very responsive too. Would recommend.

Home is beautiful and very spacious. Easy to get to. Had issu with check in code but that was easily resolved with a phone call to maintenance. The only con for us is that the home was too hot and had no air conditioning. We were there for a week this past July. We were aware of no ac however did not realize how hot it would be. We had fans which were provided blowing every which way we could. I would recommend some type of air conditioning in the summer which would make the stay a little more comfortable. Overall clean beautiful home in good location and hosts were very responsive.

Our stay was amazing we had a large group of friends about 10 people total and we all had our own rooms and bathrooms which was a huge perk! The property manager was great and communicated some work being done to the house so we wouldn’t be alarmed and even gave a refund for the hotub being out of commission. We will definitely come again, there was even a golden retriever that will greet you in the mornings that lives down the street.

The house was wonderful. Perfect for our group. There was some damage from a previous renter (garage damage). The sink is the downstairs master had drain issues. We were only there for 2 nights. I would reccomend this property for large families or groups.

I had booked this home as a 30th birthday celebration for my boyfriend. The owner had contacted us before hand to inform us of damage that was done by previous renters. This did not hinder our stay one bit. The home is so beautiful, inside and out.
Our group enjoyed our stay at this home (weekend trip) and have talked about coming back. Hopefully sooner rather than later :)

This home was amazing! Yes, there are signs everywhere, but it’s not anything you wouldn’t find if it was in welcome binder like most vacation rentals have on the kitchen table. Easy to find location, but the road up is very steep - common in VT. Checking in the code didn’t work on the front door, but after a quick call to the property manager, we used the back door, so it was fine. The home has a great open concept vibe in the main living areas of the first floor, so you can be cooking or mixing cocktails in the kitchen & still be connected to those hanging out in the living room. The hot tub didn’t get past 101 degrees, but was relaxing just the same. Shower pressure wasn’t great, but that’s just a part of such rural areas. The number of bedrooms & bathrooms was so great for 6 ladies (40+ years old) - felt spoiled having our own spaces. Would definitely recommend for friends gathering or family vacations!

We had 3 families and there were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone! Cozy cabin feel in a nice neighborhood. House was clean and had plenty to do for the family. Definitely needed a ride to the mountain!

Our family stayed at the home over holiday break and had a truly wonderful time. The house is spacious and welcoming, and a short 5 minute drive from the base of Okemo.

Heather's cabin is an amazing location to have a big group gathering or a family to stay. The place is very large and the rooms can accommodate a lot of people - we enjoyed the huge fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, as well as the jacuzzi and pool table. Truly a great place to stay, even bring your pets as the outside is perfect for dogs to run around! Would recommend to anyone.

This house was absolutely perfect for our annual fall friends getaway. The house is beautiful and was exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was really well stocked with all essentials. Comfortable beds, cozy house and the hot tub and pool table were an added bonus. The communication from start to finish with the property manager was immediate and excellent. The location of the house is terrific and I can only imagine what a haven for skiers it is during the season. I highly recommend this property if you are headed to Vermont. We really did not want to leave!

Overall, the house was lovely and perfect for our needs. Everything inside was clean and the bedrooms are actually larger in person than you'd think from the pictures. Pool table was tons of fun and hot tub was in good condition.
Minor feedback:
*could not get into the house with the code provided, had to call security company to let us in
*construction on outside of the house/ lower level very ugly. Construction debris about
*Dining room floor heaving in a spot, tried to cover up with rug but we still tripped over it
*weird handwritten signs everywhere in the house
*instructions for garbage not up to date
In general, I just think the rental needs a little more attention and tlc. I had zero communication with the owner/ rental manager. This is a pricier rental and I expected a little more attention to detail.

We had 8 motorcycles and 10 people. All had a comfortable bed. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking appliances. The stove worked but took a long time to warm up and became intermittent. The living room space was ideal for our size group and the dining room table was perfect for our group to share a meal.

The house was well maintained, and communication with owners was easy and prompt. It was big enough for our group of 11 to hang out and spread out, too. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table, and everyone enjoyed their time.

The house was perfect!! We are so grateful for a fabulous stay!!

We had a great stay overall. It's a beautiful log home up in the mountains very close to Okemo and the small town of Ludlow. It was a little warm (August visit) without AC but cooled down enough most nights. We were surprised that there was no extra toilet paper or paper towels and when we contacted the property owner about that and a couple other minor issues it took a day and a half to get a response. That said, we loved the house and had a great stay. We would very much recommend this house.

The house and surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. Plenty of space for everyone, close to multiple hiking destinations, quaint towns, breweries, etc. Our family loved it! The beds are all incredibly comfortable and we loved playing games in the front yard throughout the evening. The fans did a great job of cooling the house down. The screens will need to be replaced sooner than later and could use a good cleaning, but overall we loved our stay and would stay again.

Overall, this was a great place to stay! We had 5 adults and 4 kids ranging from 8 to 16. What we really liked:We all had our own rooms and there were plenty of bathrooms. The pool table was the highlight of the day when we were done with our activities. Room for improvement:Upon arriving the code didn't work to get in. With that said, it was fixed within a reasonable timeframe. In my opinion, the outside of the property has not been very well kept. There was an uncomfortable amount of fairly large spiders (20+ at least) all along the rim of the soffits. We had to dodge large webs just to get to the front door. There was a fair amount of trash and cigarette butts strewn throughout the yard and driveway. Looks like there has been water damage that has resulted in black mildew on the ceiling of the back entryway and other spots. Some wooden rims to the windows were coming off. A bear ended up getting into the trash shed. He/she was able to get in because the "lock" for the shed was a jerry rigged piece of metal. The bear was able to get the door open and made some scratch marks along with bending the trash can. It looked like the previous trash has been in the shed for a while and we had to clean up old dirty diapers. No A/C BUT plenty of fans. The inside was clean for the most part however it could stand for a deep cleaning sooner rather than later. The vent fans in the bathroom were filled with dust, every room had 1-2 light bulbs that didn't work, and many cob webs throughout. With all of that said, this was still a great place for a large family/friend get together!

The Great Outdoors
It’s fair to say this cabin was adequate. It wasn’t stellar but it wasn’t terrible either. Rather than go on a long-winded review I’ll simply list the pros and cons of the cabin. We stayed here over the 4th of July holiday with 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog.
Pros:
- Pet friendly
- Massive in size so there is more than enough room for everyone
- Well stocked with sturdy silverware, dishes and cookware
- Gas stove
- Working oven
- Decent BBQ with a full propane tank
- Roku TV in every room
- Close to the grocery store
- Beautiful neighborhood
- Murphy, the neighbor dog, visited our dog every day - we called it a city slicker and country dog love story
- Great hot tub
- Comfortable beds
- Enough towels for everyone
Cons:
- Sonos speakers are a generation or more old and do not work. Someone from a previous trip was signed into the account and there was zero way to get them out of the account. We tried several times on the first day and it felt like going to the 7th circle of hell trying to figure it out… so we gave up. Just get some damn Bluetooth speakers throughout the house. No app to install and any device can connect.
- A bear showed up before we arrived and tore through the trash which was distributed all over the backyard. The lock on the shed where the trash bins are located hangs on by about 2 millimeters so any bear with an ounce of intelligence, brute strength, or even the wind could open it. Fix the lock! We put in a kabob skewer through it to keep it locked while we were there. (The owner sent a property manager over to quickly pick up the trash.)
- The bathtub upstairs does not drain.
- There was no toilet paper or paper towels stocked anywhere in the house. Most of the bathrooms had a half roll and that was it.
- Somehow a bat got into the house one night - so that was an interesting, terrifying and unforgettable experience
- The house could use a deep cleaning to vacuum out the window tracks and make sure all screens are properly installed.
All in all, we had a good time. Would we rent this place again? Probably not. Are we upset we did? Not at all.

Wonderful mountain home
We really enjoyed this spacious home. Our group is 13 large and we travel together every summer all over the country. We all loved the home. It has a pool table and hot tub that was enjoyed by the kids and the adults. It was so close to the mountain coaster and other fun things to do which made it extremely fun in the summer.

Perfect VT retreat!
We stayed at the home with our family and our friends families and we all said that it was the perfect place to retreat to. We’re grateful to the other reviewers who said to bring extra TP and paper towels and beach chairs for the front porch! The back porch has plenty of seating with nice Adirondack chairs. The house is large and well equipped! We struggled a little bit without A/C one of the days because we were in a heatwave but it cools down a lot at night so as long as you have all the fans going, you’ll be able to sleep comfortably! All in all, we had a great time and we cannot wait to return next year!
