Our group of four adults and four children/teens had an easy and comfortable stay at this as-described property. The backyard is beautiful! We loved eating on the patio, and the kids hanging out in the yard. The location is quiet and close to anything you'd want to explore in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. There was a little problem with the TV but the owner took care of it right away. He even refunded some money for the inconvenience. The kids had a blast going and picking fruit and making smoothies. It was very easy to get a hold of the owner who answered right away. It was a great location.
What was really nice is everything in the kitchen was labeled on the cabinet so you knew where to find things. Very organized house.

This home was everything we expected and more! We received permission to pick the fresh fruit from the yard. The home was spotless and the complete kitchen had just about everything you could imagine. The close proximity to the Volcano National Park provided a quick lunch break and respite from the rainfall. We found some awesome board games to play as well!

We had a great time for a few days at this sweet place in Volcano. The park was so close and the property had everything we needed - plenty of appliances for food prep and all was well organized and easily accessible. The backyard was beautiful and checkin/checkout was a breeze. We had no need to contact the property manager as everything was clearly communicated. Thank you for helping to create a wonderful experience with our Hawaii National Park trip!!

Perfect house minutes from the park!
This house was perfect for our family of two adults and 3 kids. We stayed two nights to really enjoy the park. We went back at night after having dinner to see the lava eruption, which was truly the highlight of my trip! The house is clean, well equipped and comfortable, the backyard was perfect to let out our kids to run around:) I recommend bringing food with you from the Kona side, or at least Hilo for breakfast/dinner. We did and it worked out well.

This home is attractive, comfortable and well equipped. Not far from the main sightseeing attractions, it is a nice place to return to at the end of the day to relax and recharge. The garden is so natural, beautiful and tranquil. We loved our stay!!!

Lovely place and great location for visiting Volcano National Park
This is a delightful house and we felt at home immediately. They even have some of the same furniture we have in our house. Tasteful decor and gorgeous grounds. The kitchen had everything and the back patio was divine for breakfast - so divine we spent time there just soaking it all in. We got a taste of what it would be like to live on the Big Island because the home didn't feel like a rental. We loved it!

Close to Volcano and very nice
What a warm lovely home! We enjoyed sitting on patio among the oasis of plants and flowers. We enjoyed the lemon that had fallen from the tree in our dinner. Close to volcano and a delightful stay. Absolutely would stay here again.

AMAZiNG!
First, the location was perfect for lots of day trips to the National Park (minutes), Hilo, South Island etc. it was a fabulous space to come back to - lots of space inside and out for our family of 5. Everything we could think of for our stay was in the house. We ate outside every meal in the gorgeous backyard. It really was a perfect start to our HI vacation.

The property was terrific. It was somewhat isolated, but we enjoyed the property even more for that reason. The facilities within the house were absolutely superb: kitchen, dishwasher, clothes washer, dehumidifiers, beds, fixtures. The back yard was clean and inviting. Everything worked, suggesting to me that the owners spent time in the residence periodically. This seemingly ensured that everything was in working order. Access to the National Park was easy and convenient. We would come back without hesitation.

Excellent rental
Hosts have thought if everything a traveler will need to enhance their Hawaii experience, Beach towels, boogie boards, ice chest. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals and beds are comfortable. So many thoughtful touches (fuzzy socks, extra blankets, umbrellas and Christmas tree/decorations). The house has a lovely yard and is away from the touristy areas so peaceful and located very close to the national park. The Carlsons’ home was a pleasure to stay in. Mahalo Mitch and Sharon.

We arrived at night and had issues finding the place in the dark but after getting in, everything was so wonderful, clean and spacious. My husband was super impressed and kept referring to it as one of the best places he has stayed at. The beds were super comfortable and the towels were luxurious. The kitchen had spices, foil & cling wrap when we needed just a paper size for cooking as well as a some butter. The ground were well maintained and we loved walking around the yard looking at all the unique plants while we relaxed on the back covered lenai. The whole family was able to relax and enjoy some TV in the comfortable living room. Two draw back is we wish we could spend a longer time here and we should of shopped for more food since there isn’t a convenient grocery store nearby.
