Views from the property are amazing and the rooms were very clean.
The hotel is quite dated and would benefit from a refurbishment. The breakfast was ok but the dinner in the restaurant in the evening was very overpriced and the service wasn’t great.
3.5
Unmatched views. Incredibly helpful and attentive reception staff.
AC did not function properly on our 2nd night. Dreadfully poor service at lunch restaurant… super slow and personnel disappear for lengthy amounts of time.
4.5
Location, cleanliness, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

The rooftop pool area is lovely
Its a traditional hotel with amazing views over malaga
Our room had a balcony overlooking the port
Super clean and comfortable
Lovely breakfast
No bar service at rooftop pool meaning you have to get back to reception to get drinks
Drinks menu limited I'd have expected cocktails on their menu

4.5
Die schöne Blick über die Stadt. Das hervorragende Frühstück. Die Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter*innen. Das ansprechende Zimmer im 3. Stock.
Kleine Anregung: Ein wechselndes Tagesmenü im Restaurant.

Lovely position and outlook., although the steep hill make it difficult for most people to get to on foot.Bus or taxi needed
Very clean and well cared for.
Nice big room
Pleasant staff but not enough of them as service was very slow.
The shower in the bathroom was antiquated with poor water flow

Udsigten fra værelset var fremragende. Maden på restauranten var rigtig god.
Der er ingen støj-isolering på værelset (gælder formodentlig alle værelser) så man kan høre alt hvad der foregår på de omkringliggende værelser!

Great views over Malaga, excellent facilities & most importantly friendly staff

The veiw
The room was on a low level by the side road, we were woke up at 2 in the morning by very noisy guests, who had lots of other guests in there room…staff were not friendly at all, we were told by the hotel the the walk down to the Malaga was 15 minutes, unfortunately we ended up needed to walk back after an evening out in Malaga, we should’ve never been told that the walk was possible as it took us over 40 minutes in mostly dark conditions, all very uphill, and nearly gave me a heart attack. I think the hotel should warn people that it’s not an easy walk.

Almost everything. Fabulous location.
Staff at reception very professional
Breakfast
Views from bedroom.
Swimming pool

Staff is very slow in serving at the bar and in all dining areas
Transport. As we did not have a car we used the hop on bus to get to centre. There is a bus and it comes every hour or hour and a half
Staff at breakfast spoke a little English.

Our 3rd stay here but we had to change rooms the first night as there was a problem with the electrics, but we were glad we did as the new room was much bigger and given we were staying 8 nights we needed the space. The first room 201, is small with an accessible wet room rather than the lovely larger bathroom that we had in 206.
The views are good from all rooms we've had but I think the 2nd and 3rd floors are the best.
The staff are lovely, breakfast very good, housekeeping excellent, beds very comfortable.
Plenty of towels and toiletries. 2nd room was missing a hairdryer but one was found immediately.
Reasonably priced mini bar and free tea/coffee replenished daily.
The views from the bar/terrace are lovely.
The hotel is next to the castle and also on a bus route, which we used frequently, very cheap to get in to the city centre
The first room we were in was too small for an 8 night stay in my opinion and only had 1 armchair it was more suited to 1 person with limited mobility not 2 although it did have a double bed.
The pool is a little on the small side and a long way from the cafe/bar if you want a drink.
One of the sockets in the room didn't work but there were plenty of others.

We had a room with nice view from the balcony over the harbour and the city of Malaga with great sunrises and sunsets. Hotel room & the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. We plan to come back! Many thanks.

Spacious room with balcony and amazing view. Great staff. The public bus service to the centre of Malaga was very convenient, the reception staff gave us the bus timetable. A taxi service is also available. The swimming pool area was lovely, with a great view of the city. Breakfast was varied and a gluten free diet was well catered for. We also had bar food, the menu was varied and food delicious. A very enjoyable stay.

Great location, with a wonderful view of the city of Malaga and along the coast. Rooms were spacious. Staff very helpful and friendly. It is possible to walk to the city along a tree lined path. The walk takes about 20 minutes, it is steep in places - wear appropriate footwear. There is a regular public bus that stops outside the entrance gate to the hotel. The bus costs 1.40 euro to travel to the centre of Malaga and takes about 10 minutes. The food at breakfast and in the bar was delicious. We will be back.

View fantastic
Nothing close by, no shuttle to get anywhere

Location was great.
I think the rooms on the lower floor were disappointing as they are quite dark and uninspired for such a great location. Huge TV not really that important but some nicer products in the room would have helped but I think for almost £200 a night for a double room I would expect not to be on the lower ground .

The view and staff
It’s a little old, perhaps requires renovation

Lovely breakfast; great room with superb view. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
Balcony wasn’t very private (wooden partition screen) so we didn’t t use it when next door were out there.

Amazing view of the city, great room, good food ,very helpful and friendly staff.
My only area of improvement would be get more staff serving in the evenings in the bar, especially when it’s busy.

The location is absolutely fantastic! We were able to see the port (from the balcony), the bullfighting arena (the room balcony), and we were able to walk to Gibralfaro Castle. The hop on hop off bus stops very close to the hotel. Very convenient.
This hotel is the best option for those who enjoy walking. Beautiful area with a great view to the sea.
The housekeeping is good, the hotel and the room were nice and clean.
The Uber from hotel to the city central area was surprisingly not expensive.
The place is quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed our evenings having a glass of local vine at our balcony and the beautiful view to the sea.
Booked the room with a king-size bed. We were given the two separate beds.
Pricy. The nearest mini market is in a walkable distance, BUT ... again for those who enjoy walking. Because the path to the mini store is easy as you are coming down from the hill. But walking back uphill can be difficult.

Everything was perfect - as always!

Friendliness,location,quality of food and drink.

The hotel had a warm welcoming atmosphere. nice bar good restaurant spacious room with all comforts including kettle coffee machine fridge.
The walk back up the hill was not really possible at night as it’s not well lit and very steep.A courtesy bus would be a great addition ! Although to be fair taxis are plentiful and inexpensive.
5.0
peaceful, unobtrusive attention to detail and service, unsurpassed location
3.5
the views from the room.. balcony
didn’t feel the food was up to the standard of a 4 star hotel… breakfasts were just okay…feel it needs a bit more attention to detail with management
staff were lovely but seemed under pressure especially in the food area…..should also be stated in advertising that the location is fabulous BUT you need to be agile and fit to do the walking up and down to the centre otherwise it would be taxis or the bus…
