The second room they put us in was great. Double bed, quiet, air conditioning, courtyard/balcony. The staff were very friendly and eager to ensure we were happy. I think we were the only foreign guests at this hotel.
The first room they put us in was not good. Twin beds, no air conditioning, beside the main road. It was noisy. We told them we'd be checking out after one night. 2nd night non refundable but we didn't care. We came back from dinner and they upgraded our room.

Great and friendly staff, tasty breakfast with various selections of local products. Location is great, 2 minutes walking from Pater Noster church, 10 minutes from Gethsemanie Garden, and aproxx. 20 minutes from Old City. Just keep in mind that hotel is located on the hill, therefore you have to climb that bloody mountain everyday ;D But the amazing panoramic view on the City walls and Dome of the Rock it's something that makes it much easier!

it was far enough away from craziness yet close enough with Ghett-I chose this place because it was close to Mt of Olives, where Jesus ascended and The Garden of Gesthemene..
construction on my balcony

Super friendly stuff.
Close by there is a wonderful view spot.
Old rooms with stains on the carpet all over.
Old windows during the night be cold and it is really loud.
After the shower water was ankle high and it took approx. 30 minutes to sink.
We were travelling as a couple and after sun went down my girlfriend didn’t feel very comfortable in the neighbourhood.

The hotel is located on top of the Mount of Olives, a few steps away from the Chapel of the Ascension, a few dozen meters away from spectacular views of the Old City, and a few hundred meters away from the Garden of Gethsemane. The view from my room was spectacular.
The staff were very kind and friendly, and the price was unbeatable ... although if you walk from Old Jerusalem, you really have to earn this discount... it's quite an uphill trek. Worth it if you ask me, but maybe it's not for everyone -- although you can take a bus or taxi.
I found the place and its surroundings to be really cool and authentic, which -- and I understand that for some people this could be an inconvenience -- brings with it quite a bit of noise (mosque next door, lots of traffic, etc.) and less-than-clean streets. But I knew this in advance and it never bothered me. (I travel with earplugs.)

Yusuf and Walid were very helpful. They made sure we were very satisfied with every aspect of our stay. Everyone was happy with the room, beds, view, breakfast, cleanliness and general positive attitude of the staff. They even helped us take a tour.
I only wish I could of stayed longer in this hotel but alas, I had to travel back to Jordan.

I would really recommed Mount of Olives Hotel to anyone travelling to Jerusalem.

Location on the top of Mount of Olives, in the Arabic neighborhood, so you need to take an Arabic bus/taxi to reach this spot. Climbing the road on foot on a sunny day is not easy.
The room was very clean and nice. From my experience, it was better than other hotels in the same price range. (Of course, we are not talking about European standards)
There is a mosque very close and the speakers are pretty loud during the morning prayer.
There is a small restaurant across the street. Better read the reviews before going there.
The reception staff should be more welcoming to tourists, they need to learn more how business is done in tourism.

Very good price/performance ratio. Nice breakfast included in price. Very helpfull staff. Good connection to the Center by bus. Only be carefool due to fact that buses are not visible in all aplications for travel in Israel - the hotel is in Palestinian side.
Sent information from where to take the bus to get there. Put standard glasses/cups for breakfast not the plastic ones.

Attended to all of our needs, thank you!
Dirty tables cloths.

The location is good and the room is fine.
Nobody had warned me that the mosque next to the hotel would call for prayer so loudly during the night at about 4am. Lots of Muslims opening and closing doors at that time. Also, very limited breakfast. I found hairs on my bed sheets.

The bed was comfortable and the room very clean.
The breakfast was okay but could be improved.
The staff were nice.
The location was good though a bit far from the city center but much closer to the Old City of Jerusalem.
The cleaning staff used to rush me for cleaning at 7:45 to 8:45. I usually vacate the room at 9:30 in order to enjoy a good rest.
Breakfast could be improved
