Staff very nice and helpful. Location is amazing.
Garden rooms are dark, dingy, uncomfortable. Toilet and bathroom downstairs with creaky stairs. Very noisy and could easily hear people from other rooms.

Great room and great hotel. Really lovely food and the staff were nice.
The Sauna wasn't working and this was one of the reasons we chose this place. The staff didn't help sort it out and didn't apologise much about the lack of a Sauna so was disappointed about that. When we called ahead to ask about the "spa" they said it would be open until 7.30. We planned our time accordingly, and then when we arrived they said it closed at 5 which gave us little time to enjoy the Sauna that didn't work and the slightly odd jacuzzi in a basement.

When the place is so exceptional, I only noticed "First World Problems": champagne glasses could have been nicer, soup was a little too hot, bread could have been brought warm.

Room , breakfast, dinner, location and staff all fabulous. Roaring fires and beautiful floral displays all around made the hotel so homely. The staff were so friendly and engaging. The views all around and location are just magnificent!
Everything was perfect.

Loved the spa and enjoyed the cocktails, just wish we could have stayed longer. Food at the restaurant was amazing, rooms were really comfortable. Follow on our blog where we added some pics of our stay https://www.facebook.com/therapleyblog

Fantastic building and gardens. Room was spacious and comfortable.
People in next room were noisy and could be easily heard through the wall.
Not to do with the property a little more diligence with food would be good. The food was generally of a high standard but not always. We ordered coffee for breakfast but got tea. We ordered porridge with honey, and got a massive portion of very lumpy porridge with no honey. A lady on the next table ordered avocado and it was not ripe.
