paul on reception was absolutely brilliant! as we're all the staff.

Attended for a wedding & the ceremony and reception were beautiful. Staff were amazing.
The bathrooms are dirty and rotten wood in the bathroom, carpets are thread bare, the heating had broke, so had to move rooms (which was lovely of staff) but still not a great room for the cost.

The rooms were shabby

Location and property grounds very good. Pool ok but needs repairs and renovation.
1 bed in our room was not level and uncomfortable. If you have balcony door open all you can smell is cigarette smoke. Cooked breakfast was poor, fried eggs very overcooked, Sausages and Hash browns overcooked. Pancake machine wasn't working properly.

Location was convenient. Spa facilities were nice.
It was extremely noisy to about half past midnight. There were kids running up and down the corridors screaming. Children were hanging over balconies in the reception area throwing things. There was a really loud raucous wedding taking place, lots of foul language. Drunk people everywhere screaming and shouting. It was a little intimidating coming through the reception area as a result. We had to walk passed people who had lifted their tops up and were getting children to punch them in the stomach to see how strong they were. It was not a spa hotel experience. I made a complaint and the response was "the hotel is a wedding venue" and that nothing could be done. The room also looked like it had had a leak through the ceiling and there was paint flaking off.
They knocked 15% off the bill but that is nothing in my opinion. I would never stay here again and recommend people avoid at all costs.

Amazing room! Bar staff member working Wed night went above and beyond!! didn’t catch a name but praise to him!
Asked for Soda water from bar , 10am Wed morning , was given lemonade instead. When bringing to the attention of bar member , was told they ran out of soda water? As i work in a bar myself i know that you can’t have the draught lemonade without the soda water i was amazed by this response , and he didn’t try correct his mistake he just proceeded to say he’s turning the lights off now.

The breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable. I like to stay here with my children as there is lots to entertain them, from the swimming pool and the games room to the large grounds this hotel sits on.
One of the reasons I book this hotel is because I enjoy the steamroom and sauna, but the last couple of times the steamroom has been out of order and the changing rooms very unclean. At first I was understanding as we arrived for a late swim and I thought perhaps the last guests just left a mess. But the next morning both the mess and the dirt was still present. I found this to be upsetting and clearly shows a lack of care from the staff, who were present and happily chatting away sat at the spa reception. Maybe they weren't hired to clean, but someone should be!

The staff were very friendly especially the bar staff. There was one barman in particular, he was excellent and left us fill up our water bottle to bring up to our room. As a wedding venue it was excellent. Food was superb.
We stayed in your hotel for a wedding on from Friday Feb 2nd to Feb 4th. It was an excellent venue for the wedding and that was the highlight for our stay as well as the staff, bar and food.
We are however dissatisfied with the quality of the room and the customer service. First of all when I paid for our room I paid £178 which was converted to €209 and I have proof of that booking from Booking.com. This was fine but the I then noticed a second charge on in my account for €265. £178 does not equal €265. We did not have breakfast either morning and did not opt for breakfast. We did get a free upgrade to our room but this was because we were there for the wedding as advised by your receptionist. We also did the fast check out and were gone by 12pm. The €209 eventually disappeared from my account but this left the incorrect amount of €265. It was fortunate I had the funds for the 2 charges but I do not know where this extra €56 came from but I would like a refund organised ASAP.
Furthermore, we had several issues with our room which we did let you know about but nothing was done for it. We had no hot water in our shower on Friday evening, Sat or Sunday. It was just cold. We did report it this and were told someone would check our room in 309 but no one did. We could not open our balcony door or window in the room. We reported this to the cleaner who said she would report it but again nothing was done. The extractor fan also did not work in the bathroom. The shower was the biggest issue and for that amount of money we should have hot water.
I will just say as a wedding venue the hotel and staff were fantastic so there are no complaints there. But between the issues with the room and the extra €56, as well as having two separate charges on my account for a time is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I have emailed you several times this week regarding my complaint with no acknowledgement or response.

The spa facilities were lovely and not overcrowded. The restaurant did lovely food too
Unfortunately our room and bathroom was very dirty. Smelt like damp and mould immediately when walking in. There was mould on the roof, shower was rusty, bathroom door didn’t close. Was in desperate need of attention.
Roof tiles broken, lights cracked, and bath resin also coming off in multiple places.

The location was good and first impressions of the hotel generally was good. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to help. The reception area was clean and well presented. I asked for a ground floor room and this was accommodated. I did not use the spa or the restaurant in the hotel so I cannot comment on them.
The room was really cold despite having the radiators on. The bed was so soft it was like sleeping on a marshmallow!! It was initially comfortable but was tough sleeping on it for 2 nights. The WIFI was so weak it was unusable. This may be due to the fact that our room was right at the end of the corridor. The water pressure in the bath/shower was really low. It took forever to run a bath and the hot water ran cold in the end. The shower had really low pressure as well. The room also had a lot of dust and cobwebs and the corridors etc. looked tired and in need of a coat of paint. We had breakfast which was a buffet style. Lots to choose from and generally ok on the first morning. On the 2nd day a large group had been to breakfast before us and had eaten all the pastries and white bread. Overall, a disappointing stay.

Great location, big room but we paid for privileged and good there was a spa although one room out of use
There were 3 Christmas parties the night of our stay so took forever for us to get a drink from the bar and we hardly saw any staff as they were all busy with those guests, the steam room was out of use and the property is very dated inside old fashioned furnture that doeant match, the mirror was behind the tv so when hetting ready was difficult, we had svratched and marka aroumd the bedroom and a dusky smell, every corridor and chipped walls and ceilings it didn't feel very welcoming or warm unfortunately.

The bed was good size and comfortable. Room was good size. Good location for us.
Room was very stark and not overly welcoming (nothing on walls). Felt the whole hotel was tired looking. Also still feel getting less since covid. Lights not even plugged in when we arrived. Don’t like buffet breakfast but seems to be par for the course now.

Such a terrible hotel and even worse staff. The whole building is falling apart and is decorated like an elderly care home, the toilet broke, room was dirty, blood clot in the sink and they cancelled our spa treatments last minute. Staff members don’t have a clue and was offered a full refund which they are now backtracking on!! Wouldn’t stay here if I was homeless tbh a joke of a business.

Nothing much
Location, the main road outside leading upto the property was horrible. So many potholes and causing damage to car. The room itself was very outdated and not modern at all. Was a bath and not an actual shower. Room was cold. No heating. Unpleasant experience overall. Definitely one of the worst ones.

Awful room, i could hear the bass music blasting until late at night then the interlocking room meant that i could hear the teenage boys conversations and TV until 2am. I had my 10 month old baby in the room with me so this disturbed us all night. I complained and your staff member told them but the room didnt work. You cant place a baby next to teenagers who want to party all night.also there was no coffee in the room or ability to make one, it wasnt clean and i had my baby in there. The pillows were uncomfortable. No water at all to get or to have in the room. Worst nights stay, im shocked its a 4 star very unhappy for the price. I was in room 320.

Some lights didn’t work properly. Finding out how to log onto free wi-fi was unnecessarily complicated.

looks good and nice gardens.
The room had wallpaper hanging off the ceiling. lamp on the wall broken and a hole in the wall. layout of hotel is bad, if there is a meeting or function on you can’t access the garden without walking all the way round the inside of hotel.
