The location is great.
But to be honest, Hotel, room settings are old , facilities are old, is expensive compared to some new hotels.

Every member of staff from the concierges to cleaners were friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely with a mini bar (which wasn't listed on room facilities) and had a view of Wesminster and Big Ben which was an added bonus. When the receptionist knew we were celebrating our anniversary she arranged for a bottle of bubbly, balloons and card to be sent to the room which was a nice surprise. Breakfast in the Library was excellent and on the second day we have a window table with a great view of Westminster Hall (near the fireplace) All in all a lovely venue and we took advantage of the Theatre in the County Hall building showing the Agatha Christie 'Witness for the Prosecution' which was great fun.
We didn't use the pool as there were no changing rooms nearby and we would have needed to have changed in the room and walked to the pool in dressing gowns. There were lots of builders and plumbers about and it looked like they were refurbishing the spa/ pool facilities so will defintely revisit when this is completed. I did use the gym which was well equipped but I believe was not the usual room for this purpose.

This is the second time staying at the hotel. It's the perfect base, luxurious but not stuffy!
The only thing that was a little odd was being asked so many times to show ID. I understand on arrival, but I was asked 4 times over the course of the stay.

Excellent location, beautiful decor. Friendly staff.
Sachin at the reception took care of our booking very well. We stayed at Marriott for our son’s birthday. Sachin visited our room with complimentary drinks to make the occasion special.
Good breakfast, however kids would have liked buffet more than ala carte menu.

Room was excellent for a family of 5 which is really hard to find sometimes...
Our view was of an alley but apart from that there was nothing we didn't like...

Location , staff and cleanliness
Dine in room service was poor actually,
The food is cold and tasteless which is not expected given it’s a 5 star hotel

I can't say enough nice things about this Marriott!! We treated ourselves to a few nights here for a special occasion, and the staff were incredibly helpful and went over the top to make sure we had a memorable stay. On my birthday, they remembered a special beverage and snack I liked at check-in, and had a bottle and the snack delivered to the room as a surprise. My fiancé also proposed on this trip, and they did everything they could to make the day extra special with flowers, treats, and balloons in the room. They even were so kind as to hold a package I had delivered before my arrival until check-in, call us cabs whenever needed, and bring our luggage to our room (which was nice after hauling it all around ourselves for a couple weeks of prior travel). The breakfast and afternoon tea in the Library and the dinner restaurant were also superb.
Everyone from the front desk to porters were kind and provided the best customer service we've ever experienced. Special thank you's to Tanvin at the front desk and the manager, Victoria, for making our stay one we'll never forget! We can't wait to come back some day knowing we celebrated our engagement here. :)
We had followed up with the hotel a couple times before arriving to make sure we would have the best view possible of Big Ben in our room category, which we were told would be accommodated. We were disappointed to instead arrive to a view of the London Eye with dozens of people in the pods looking directly into our room and the Eye camera flashing a bright light onto our walls every 15 seconds. My fiancé was able to talk to the front desk, and the staff moved us to a better room down the hall, however we wish they had taken our initial request more seriously as we wasted a lot of time (most of my birthday) trying to switch rooms and probably could've had an even closer view of Big Ben if this were arranged ahead of time. The pool was also open but was quite cold, so we wish there were a hot tub or sauna option available to us (or even a spa voucher included).

Breakfast was a farce. First of all the price being twice as much as I have paid before should include breakfast.
We asked for water. We asked for toast we asked for sauce and I asked for poached eggs. None of the above came and the eggs I got were fried half cooked. Have stayed many times but neve experienced this poor service before.

Wonderful location by the river and central for visiting everything
Beautiful swimming pool
Large rooms
I paid £525 for one night and checked in , had a shower in room and went to the only restaurant in this big hotel at 755 pm. The person in charge of dining said she couldn’t fit me in , one person ? , til 930 pm to eat. There were plenty of empty tables. I said have I paid this much money to find I cannot get food in the hotel ?? She said I could order some bar food …. I did but it was mediocre and expensive Also in a luxury hotel one expects the chance to dine accordingly. Sadly management not interested in the morning when they asked if everything was alright with my stay … currently also note there is no spa at the hotel for a year as it’s being refurbished which is not advertised The pool is amazing however. .

This Marriott is magically marvellous! it’s location provides a buzz and excitement that you know you will enjoy but also a real tranquil calmness from the hustle and bustle of the city! The views are worth every penny! But no hotel is complete without its staff, check in was seamless and Barry (valet) gave exceptional attention to detail, remembering us as we came and went on our adventures (there were only 3 rooms not booked that day so his memory for the number of people he met is out of this world)!
Then Anna in the restaurant again paid exceptional attention to detail, making us feel so welcome and comfortable.
Drinks and food were great and portions BIG!
A perfect stay with a lifetime of memories!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. the view and location was outstanding. The food was gorgeous. and I was very pleased with the room.
The staff. Specifically Silver. She made me feel I wasn’t good enough to be staying there. I normally regularly stay at Ruben at the Palace, but this trip I had my disabled mother, & daughter, so they couldn’t accommodate us, as fully booked. So I decided to try county hall as the location was perfect for my mother’s limited mobility. We were very much looking forward to staying. I have been extremely poorly over the last few years. I lost all my hair, and it’s only recently started to grow back. I find it really hard leaving the house because of this. So it was a big deal for me to go to London looking so very different to how I once did, I wanted to be able to relax and enjoy myself. and My Mother has only recently lost her mother, and is days away from having hip replacements. So she really needed a little break, and to have her sprits lifted. sadly this wasn’t achieved. I left my bag on the train with my wallet and driver’s license on the journey up. So I didn’t have my bank card or ID. the situation was stressful enough. But to then be told I ‘probably wouldn’t be able to stay the night, as that’s against their policies’ (which I should point out that it wasn’t even made clear when I booked that I would need ID!) when I arrived after losing my belongings, a nearly 3 hour train journey, then to miss the £300 boat cruise we had booked because of the time Silver took at check in while she went off to find out if we could stay - was rather upsetting! and to be made to feel I’m not good enough by the way she spoke to me, was just not acceptable. I won’t be returning because of this. I feel humiliated. I’ve never been made to feel like this at Rubens. I paid over £700 for just one night, to wish I just hadn’t bothered!
very disappointing.
