Lady in charge -Marta - was friendly, helpful and considerate, went beyond my expectations
Lift provision inadequate. No lift to first floor, had to carry heavy case up a huge staircase to get to a distant lift. I’m 74 and arthritic.
They only had one person on reception. Long wait to be dealt with.
Signage in car park and hotel inadequate. Kept getting lost.
Mini bar in existence but unstocked.
No room service.

The Hotel was a stunning venue. The staff upon entry were very friendly and the process of booking in was very easy. Using the app to order food was very good.
The card Machines did not work, so when i tried to pay for dinner, i could not pay on the machine, only added to the room.
The food was very expensive for what it was....£40 for a Buffet menu, for £16.50 for a over cooked, cheesy pizza. The Bed in the room, was very small!

Breakfast was good
Our bed set up was a wind up
I stayed with my 11 year old son and booked a twin room and it was a large double bed and he moved around all night which wouldn’t have happened if the bed situ was right
As above and the other annoyance was the lack of films on the tv

Nice location in quiet surroundings. Only had breakfast as had eaten out at family celebration in Chepstow. Breakfast great. Good selection. Staff very helpful.
Thought the room was a little tired. I know we had a deal with booking.com but felt it was a lower rate room and not like others we had stayed at there. No complimentary bottled water in the room. I like a firm bed but hits one was very very hard

Room was clean and comfortable
Felt room was nothing special considering the price charged

Fruit and coffee. The room was pleasant.
No butter knife, lukewarm hot items. No choice of margarine, only butter. This is simple restaurant stuff. It took 25 minutes to check-in yet only person in front of us. Insufficient reception staff. Not told about any car parking charges prior to booking. Could not exit out of the barriers as the darkness prevents being able to see the help button. Had to reverse back twice to get the Receptionist to press a button. I would of expected complimentary parking at a venue such as Celtic Manor. No fan in the bathroom. 5 members of staff at Rafters walked past us when we were waiting for a table, the 6th then said we had no booking and would have to talk to her superiors (bearing in mind 15 minutes beforehand the Receptionist booked us a table while on the phone to them while we were listening). The place was no more than 20% full so that 7th person sat us down prior to the 6th person returning. I wanted to go to CM and had reasonable expectations that were missed by a country mile.
