Excellent location for Stansted Airport

The instructions for entry were clear. Communication was excellent. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Beside tables and lamps both sides. Lots of plugs for phone charging etc. Good hospitality tray. Hot shower.

Clean & convenient

It was a very convenient, last minute stay for an overlay at Stansted airport. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and Candy, although not physically present, was a superb help via Whatsapp. She clarified where the correct bus stand was (when citymapper was not exactly right), found a tesco on my way to the accommodation and sorted myself some food with toaster and microwave in the kitchen. The guide provided was very clear as to how and when to check in and out. The room I booked had its own bathroom and came with a kettle and coffee as well as shampoo and shower gel which were a brilliant detail. The stair case did not creek and crackle when using it so you would not disturb or be disturbed from late night movement!!

The room (that could accommodate 3) was a bit pricy for a solo traveler, so since there is an option upon booking to select solo traveler it would be nice to provide a small discount in such cases. Also the room, although clean, looks dated and stale. The bathroom looked relatively new but the shower space was very compact and the drain was very slow to dispense water so I had to turn off the water flow a few times during my shower to avoid flooding.

Big clean room. Quiet neighborhood in beautiful village. Cheap price. Big shower.

Paper thin walls. You are at mercy of other guests ariving any time. Taxi prices from place. all taxi companies will charge you for airport transport so 30+ pounds for a 10 min drive. Shared bathroom an WC.

Good value for money, close to Stansted Airport, would recommend as a transit stay

Nice simple accommodation close to Stansted Airport. The lodge was a short walk from the Elsenham Station, which is connected well to all the tube stations around London. The commute from central London via the train was only 50 minutes approximately. Overall, the room was clean and so were the bathrooms. Very good value for money.

If travelling during obscure hours, it is difficult to find transport. Taxis need to be booked in advance if travelling at times when there are no buses, usually costing around 27 GBP for a 10 minute ride into the airport.

Fab location but poor sleep due to thin pillows, cold and noise of doors slamming.

Location, self checkin and check out. Tea, coffee, kettle and biscuits in room is lovely. Good visitor information. Plenty of parking.

Front door slams under the bed hourly through the night. Was coldest night of year with snow so blanket and sheet arrangement on bed didn't keep me warm enough. Pillows very thin and lumpy. Led to a poor nights sleep.

Location was great although if you’re wanting to get public transport, its a long walk to the mount fitchet train station.

Some other guests really let this property down. They were blaring their TV volume till almost 1 in the morning, and only turned it down after I knocked on the door repeatedly. No consideration for other guests. There is no manager staying at the property, so guests are able to do as they please. There are cameras around the property, but guessing these don’t have sound/noise notifications/alarms. I did message the property manager/owner before having to confront the other guests, but understandably no response till the morning, but by this point its far too late. As a solo travelling female having to bang on male strangers door at the early hours of the morning, it wasn’t my favourite experience in a guest house, and really shouldn’t have happened. Room itself its absolutely fine to just sleep. Both the room and bathroom were very very tired.

Good location

Good proximity to the airport. Easy to access.

Bed was not comfortable, could be upgraded to a more modern bed, better pillows. Seemed like the place was pretty empty, yet the room upstairs was occupied by incredibly noisy people who were partying late. So we didn't sleep and had to get up a 3am for our flight. Seeing as a hotel is a place for rest and sleep, I wouldn't say we were satisfied.

Charming, but difficult to find room

Everything is good, nice, clean, comfortable, but difficult to find it.

If I were the owner I would send to the guests the scheme or the map with direction to reach the hotel from the station. In the early evening there's no people in this district absolutely, so I couldn't ask the direction. Often the travelers have poor internet connection to download the map. I had problems to find it and the experience to search it wasn't pleasant.

Kitchen was really nice. Wish I could've made better use of it.

My 1 bed room was rather small. The bathroom was a bit cramped and needed some repairs around the sink. It's a fine option if you need an overnight stay before a flight at Stansted airport but consider the price of a taxi, it'll cost extra because of Stansted airport fees.

Convenient stay near Stansted airport

It was a convenient stay very close to the stansted airport. I stayed here to take an early flight out. The host sends all the taxi information in advance and that was helpful. The taxi however would cost 26-30 pounds from here as well for a ten minute ride. On Sundays, buses are not available.

The location is not far from Tesco express and London Stansted airport. Travellers can take a taxi just around 10 mins to be there. Also the accommodation provide taxi nunber in case you want to book in advance. Candy is very lovely and supportive staff, she can provide you lots of information if you need hands.

Superb

The private room with ensuite is a very nice option. The back deck is also really pleasant to sit while having your morning coffee. The area was in a quiet area with access to a grocery store, pub and a take-away place that had Fish&Chips, Pies, Hot wings etc.

I wish it were better connected from Stansted.
