Breakfast was really nice and room was comfortable
Everything was fine
4.3
Everything
Only fault I could give was the breakfast could’ve been warmer and the eggs/ black pudding overcooked.
4.3
Excellent hotel, very comfortable room, great breakfast, good bar and restaurant
Would be great if could use the gym earlier, does not open until 6.30am.

struggle to find anything positive - i suppose the bar area is quite attractive looking.
the location is poor - did not feel safe going out of an evening and everything close by closed before 8 and was very very run down. when checking in they insisted that we book a time for breakfast the next day even though it’s advertised as buffet between 7 and 10. Our room had a nice view of the lake but this was distorted by the filthy windows. the bed was exceptionally small and extremely uncomfortable. this coupled with a very noisy air con/heating fan system left little room for sleep. the breakfast was appalling. scrambled eggs sat in liquid. the baked beans had dried up. sausages were sat in a bowl of fat. bacon was dried out and the fried eggs were like rubber bullets - they had clearly been sat there way too long. the mushrooms were cold. the hash browns were stale and had clearly been deep fried in oil thats was past its best. the coffee served from the urn was passable but their were no saucers to go with the coffee cup and there were wooden sticks for stirring - no teaspoons. the outdoor terrace had potential - but none of the lights were working on it so the two nights we were there we had to sit in darkness if we wanted to be al fresco! the bar staff were poor claiming to have run out of things when in essence they could simply not be bothered to change the barrel. having booked to stay there two nights to celebrate a special anniversary we were sorely disappointed and needless to say we couldn’t wait to leave and did not bother booking ourselves in for breakfast on our second day choosing rather to cut our losses, set off home and picked up an edible sandwich at a service station later on!

A lovely hotel, fantastic room and good food. very comfortable. Last minute booking so was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Was given an upgrade which was unexpected.
Parking cost was too high (£15 for one night)which was disappointing. I mentioned this and was told I could move my car to a carpark elsewhere if I wanted!

Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, rooms were spacious and comfy, just a stress free overall nice experience
Parking a little pricey
4.3
The bed was good.
The air conditioning didn't work. The safe didn't work. No TV remote control. The fridge had been removed. The bathroom extractor fan didn't work. We were asked for our room number when we sat down for our evening meal. The meal was dreadful with overcooked risotto rice and cold chips in the other meal along with over-battered fish. We left assuming the bill would be on the room account but were woken at 10.45 to be told we hadn't paid.

The location is amazing, there is a nice bar. Best hotel in Southport by far

This was our second stay, love the location and decor of the hotel
The window in bedroom would not shut properly so could hear outside music, breakfast was a shambles this time. Cold items waiting for 15 nins for eggs, no staff around to speak to,ended up putting my head thro kitchen door to find someone. When checked out receptionist was more interested in something on screen than even speaking to us or asking about our stay
4.3
Everything was fine, the room was good staff were friendly and the breakfast was buffet service so as much or as little as you wanted. Great location overlooking the lake with the town a couple of hundred metres away and amusements and things to do even closer!
Nothing really in my opinion, have stayed there a few times and it has always been fine.

Location was very good Breakfast was not up to our previous stay Was not hot under those heat lights Black pudding was tough Bacon was overdone Breakfast cereal weetabix was loose and not boxes Children as well as adults picking them and putting back
It was nice to have the market in the hotel but do not think they should had been be allowed to walk through the breakfast area while your were eating They could have used the outside area
4.3
Good selection for breakfast and the location was pleasant on the waterfront
I wasn’t happy that I had to pay to park in the hotels own car park and felt that this is more like a stealth tax !
4.3
Everything was good apart from Breakfast
Breakfast was shambolic on a couple of mornings with poor service given that there was very few people in the restaurant. They ran out of Cranberry juice on the Tuesday morning and none was available for the remaining 4 mornings we were there.
4.3

Lovely staff
Could not open the window in the room
Breakfast was so busy

4.3
Excellent hotel, brilliantly located near the town and waterfront, modern and clean with very good facilities (rooms, bar, public areas etc) esp considering the price. Was especially impressed with the excellent service throughout and the range and quality of the breakfast.
The lifts were a bit scruffy and let the 'vibe' of the place down a bit compared to all the other public areas, which were very modern and welcoming, but that's a very minor point.
4.3
The location is brilliant
I thought it was over priced for what it was, the hotel is tired and really needs a complete makeover. The plug in my room was loose, the bathroom door didn’t close properly and the shower made a very loud noise when it was on. The tunnel to the car park smelt of bad drains and the lift has a mind of its own

Quiet, but rooms dated.
nothing

Great clean Hotel with friendly staff

Fab place nice rooms our superior on the 5th floor had a view of the lake. The outdoor roof terrace at the bar was nice to enjoy drinks & relaxation out in the sun on deckchairs or seats. Great sunset too. Staff went above & beyond to see you had what you needed for a nice time away too. Will return for sure.
Parking £15 so leave your car outside their underground parking for £4.50 overnight seems safe to.
4.3
The location of the hotel.
Staff were not very welcoming. Breakfast was cold.
4.3
The breakfast was really good, all the food in the buffet was nice and hot.
Bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were probability the worst I’ve ever had in a 4* hotel.
4.3
The staff were great. Beds good and breakfast a decent standard.
Would of liked mini bar in room and coat hooks. overall then property was nice but needs a little tlc.
4.3
This hotel had great decor and was lovely and clean.
Left stood at the bar for a good 10-15 mins before anyone served us. Limited drinks selection. The breakfast was awful, there was hardly anything to eat or drink. (We actually left and brought breakfast elsewhere.) Felt like this hotel needs more staff and more stock.
4.3
Location .
With the reception on the first floor it's a bit of a trek from the carpark. The corridor not very well signposted.
