the food
The room was the gloomiest room I have ever stayed in my life , I was unable to tell if it was day or night , also the scaffolding is an eye sore which was taking up most of the car park and disabled parking .

I love the style of the hotel, the wide corridors, and the lovely big rooms.
There was nothing to dislike.

Cheap
Builders work you going on. No notice of this given when booking made. Scaffolding up around window and window pane was very dirty from builders

Great staff , super location , spacious room
Not their fault, but the hotel is surrounded by scaffolding and is being renovated and so the car parking is limited

Location
Upon arrival we had to hunt down a staff member as no one was available, even after waiting a considerable time. When they arrived their indifference was shocking. All the time I could not get over the overwhelming stench of damp and decay.
Instead I let the Britannia group keep my prepaid cash and checked in to the much better Vincent hotel, a short distance down Lord Street, with excellent staff and facilities and without the smell of lingering death.
You deserve better, life is too short.

The bed was comfy
Took us 3 goes to get into the room cause all the room doors are old and faulty, so had to keep going back to reception,
The shower was cracked at the top of the pipe, the net curtains were held up by string. Wasent very keen on having to pay for parking in the hotel car park. Or pay £7 for internet when in most hotels you get an hour free then you have to pay for it. Its a beautiful hotel, the rooms just need a bit of TLC. Thankyou

Cheap hotel
Staff were asleep through the night, when went to desk had to wake them up which took some loud HELLOS. I do not have issue with other nationalities however they were unable to understand whe asking for bottle of water, when I asked if they could give me a bottle or cup water for people who were involved in rtc outside the hotel in the morning which I assisted with when witnessed it in early hours of the morning. Took some time to wake them up as well one was asleep on couch other asleep behind front desk.
