Unser bisher schönster Urlaub. Wir sind nächstes Jahr zurück!

Die gesamte Anlage ist top gepflegt, weitläufig und wunderschön angelegt. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und einem Hotel dieser Kategorie mehr als angemessen. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns einen unvergesslichen Urlaub ermöglicht. Ich bin beruflich sehr viel auf Reisen und habe viele Hotels besucht. Das Vilalara hat uns in allen Bereichen begeistert.

Restaurants could be more diverse, not necessarily in type of food, but more diverse in the sense of simple (quantity) to culinair (vs quality).

A TRUE 5 star hotel !!

For the first time in my life , I have found a hotel where there was nothing that I didn’t like about this hotel. We were a family of 5 with 3 rooms. From the moment we arrived the quality of service was first class. How often I have been frustrated checking in at the reception; at this hotel it was a dream ! Organised, professional, 5 separate checking in tables, professional and well organised staff, fast and effective. Bedrooms were large and well air conditioned, cleaned perfectly every day. The overall hotel staff were all super helpful. Breakfast buffet was the best I have eaten ; quality of choice and the quality of the food. The large expanding residence with 5 pools and plenty of space to find quiet locations; sun loungers a plenty and none of that crazy towels on chairs at 6am routine ( as is often the case in other hotels ). Yep! Congratulations to the hotel management for creating a TRUE 5 star experience.

Very relaxing break; our first visit to the Algarve and will definitely return.

Loved it all! Food was excellent. Very attentive staff, always pleasant. Very relaxing break.

Beautiful resort with exceptional Gardens, facilities and views from the pool terrace. Private beach also wonderful

The service was a bit slow and haphazard. I think we caught them right at the beginning of the season with a lot of new staff and more often than not we did not receive what we ordered for drinks and sometimes food. Food at the pool terrace was good but could have been improved in some instances. I have an egg and gluten allergy and there were many options I could not have, with no alternatives. We didn’t eat at the Italian or A La Carte restaurants as the nights we felt like it, they were fully booked.

Erholung pur!

Wunderschöne weitläufige Anlage in einem großen Garten. Außer beim Frühstück merkt man gar nicht wieviele Gäste da sind. Großes sehr gepflegtes Zimmer mit großem Bad mit abgetrennter Dusche, separater Toilette und Badewanne. Gute Restaurantauswahl. Personal in allen Bereichen überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Staying at the Vilalara Thalassa was a dream! We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

The Vilalara Thalassa is a beautiful resort that has the finest amenities and the most helpful, cheerful staff! Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable! We used the Koala club and babysitting service for 2 nights. I enjoyed a massage as well. We all enjoyed this resort so much that we did not want to leave. We met the most wonderful staff, Miguel was a joy to talk with! All of the staff were wonderful to us.

I would add a hair salon service.

Fantastic hotel! Will definitely go back!

Wonderful resort! The pool’s water was super clear! Private beach with spectacular views and clean water. Amazing service - Derek, Bruno Encarnaçao and Lucia Lareo were amazingly helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Derek’s recommendations were spot on!! Loved the old town of Albufeira, very short drive. We initially looked at Vila Vita Parc next door but super happy with our choice to stay here. Loved the beach, pool, feel of the resort. All and all AMAZING 🤍

Paradise

A gem of a location! Great facilities and a super comfortable room ..... paradise. Also, a special mention for Alayna in the Spa. My facial was perfection. Thank you.

Breakfast was amazing but we were not impressed with the restaurants for dinner. We ate at the Italian and the Terrace Grill. Food was poor on both occasions. The quality of the food did not match up to everything else at the beautiful resort.

Relaxing and pleasant

The facility has beautifully kept grounds, the rooms are spacious and bathrooms have a tub and shower, also spacious. The restaurants, bar and breakfast areas are very clean and modern. The breakfast is also very fresh and pleasant. Great views are appreciated from the breakfast area. The pools and surrounding pool areas as kept nicely as well. I appreciate the private beach area. The customer service is top notch! Our toddler suffered a minor injury unrelated to the hotel grounds and the staff was very kind in checking on her frequently, in addition to leaving her a sweet note and goodies for her recovery - I felt this was a very thoughtful gesture from their guest relations team. They have a kid area with a playground, activities for the kids and toys, this is nicely maintained.

Our room was a bit of a hike from the common grounds of the restaurant and pool area, this is not usually a concern as the grounds are maintained beautifully - therefore a walk is pleasant, however - we had our toddler with us, so it could get a bit tiring. Transportation can be provided via golf cart so this can be requested ahead of time. Another con- the outlets in the rooms, none were conveniently located near the night stands - this was commonly provided at other 5 star hotels we visited during our stay in Portugal. We did not have the pleasure of dinning in at the resort as we preferred to leave each night for dinner in the surrounding towns (we had our own car), but the lunch we purchased during our stay was just okay and a bit overly priced for what was offered.

I would highly recommend staying at Vilalara Thalassa. We had an amazing time.

Our room was nice and spacious. The cleaners did a fantastic job everyday making sure our room was nice & tidy. The facilities were great. 3 nice pools, some great tennis courts and small sided football pitch. Beach was conveniently close and the gym was more than adequate to have a good session. Breakfast options were good. There were so many picturesque views, a beautiful place to stay.

Overall had a great time. If I am being picky, there were a few things that I didn't like. There were the number of tiny flies that would be around us when we sat by the beach. Also, i don't think the options available for lunch / dinner were great or offered value for money. I paid 28 Euros for a turkey sandwhich at midnight because we arrived late - it was ok but overly expensive. Also, location wise, most of our journeys to restaurants etc were over 20km / 35 mins away but to be fair, the drives were pleasant on the motorway.

A superb hotel in a lovely setting with very helpful and friendly staff.

The breakfast had a very good choice with very attentive staff and nice setting overlooking the pool. The reception staff were exceedingly helpful with all requests and restaurant bookings. The grounds were beautiful and the gardeners kept them pristine. The rooms were beautifully presented and very clean.

I cannot think of one negative.

It exceeded our expectations in every way!!

Loved the breakfast, the location and beach. The friendly staff in the reception and at all of the restaurants. Excellent in every way, we loved the beautiful manicured grounds, flowers and various birds!! Fantastic place and we will want to return when we can!!

Great Location. Beautiful gardens. Bery good vacation hotel.

The location is fabulous. The gardens are beautiful and excellently kept. Our Garden Suite had a sea view too. The pizzas at the Trattoria are great! Best restaurant of the 3

Our room was huge, but had the basic level of furniture, which gave a feeling of space but no character. Not a picture on the walls either. The B&G didn’t feel special enough…merely an adjunct to the Terrace Grill.

Pleasant

Loved the gardens and setting on the beach. Rooms were a good size. Guest services Manager Riccardo was excellent. Loved the beach.

It was like a kids club, every pool and restaurant was full of children. They need to do one of the 3 pools adult only. Restaurants were over priced and service very slow so we ate out of resort. Not 5 star service, no poolside service. Staff did not engage and it was very sterile. Checkout very poor. Would not come back.

Beautiful resort with extremely friendly staff. Direct beach access (with some of the beach as private was an added bonus) and 5 pools (including 1 heated) were great. Kids club was a nice touch although our little one was too young to utilise it. General facilities around the property were also excellent - loads of green space to just walk around, ducks, football / basketball court, kids play area etc.

Minor point but didn't feel like there were enough vegetarian food options - we ate at the terrace grill 3 times and by the third meal, we had run out of veg options! Also felt like some of the food / alcohol was quite expensive but maybe that's just part and parcel of being in a posh resort in the Algarve :)

Beautifully set on the cliffs with fabulous sea views and a gorgeous garden! There's a private beach just a few steps away and many activities available. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely time! Thanks

Fantastic breakfast, hot and cold buffet with lots of variety and lots of healthy options to set you up for the day lovely to have breakfast on the terrace with the sea and pool view.

The room was lovely & clean. Very helpful staff, who were extremely polite & attentive. Great access to a quiet pool and beach.

Food was extremely mediocre for the price, especially at the B&G Restaurant. There was also a very limited choice.

A classy establishment with great staff.

The staff were superb. As someone who has travelled all across the world and stayed in over 100 hotels, these guys were truly exceptional.

if you don’t like walking, stay elsewhere. we were placed at the back of the development and it was far to walk to reception, dinner, pool etc, especially with a buggy.
