Room was located right on the main road. If travelling with a child would not be a good room because of the loud cars at night and music. The room is very dark and not enough lighting but we managed by moving the direction of the lamps to areas of the room that did not have much light.
The room was very dark and not enough lighting, but still found a work around. Breakfast options were limited but the hot drinks are on point.

Location was great, close to restaurants and designer shopping . We disembarked from a cruise ship in Auckland Port and were able to walk , rolling our luggage to the Fable Hotel . Highly recommend !
Appetizers should be served in the bar for those who prefer not to have a dinner meal . We were accommodated with a charcuterie tray delivered to our room .

Had a wonderful stay, the rooms are small but elegant and well equipped. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Loved the location as it was close to the waterfront and Britomart.
Given the five star rating, the breakfast was lacking flavour and detail. The hotel also appeared understaffed as the valet/concierge has far too much to do for only one person staffed at a time.

Location
We booked a queen room. Unfortunately probably got the WORST queen room - “L” shaped room with a bed I pretty much touching the 4 walls with a corridor too small to open our suitcase and a tv facing the side wall. FREEZING cold on arrival with the heat only kicking in after 1am after complaints, a dirty robe in the bathroom. The bed sheet had 4 holes in it. While the upgrade was appreciated the next day it wasn’t quite how I planned to spend my birthday.

Pure Luxury, beautiful furnishings, top location, wonderful helpful staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. Barista made coffee was part of the breakfast package. There was T2 tea & coffee, & chocolate fudge in the foyer while you wait. The staff made you feel special & the room was clean & the bed soooo comfortable, I didn’t want to get up!
Loved everything!

Beautifully clean and well appointed in a wonderful position for access to restaurants and sightseeing. Staff were courteous and efficient. Good restaurant on site which was handy as most of the local area restaurants were booked on the weekend.
Booking was made for a ‘superior’ queen room (all these rooms on booking.com were 27 square metres. The ‘classic’ queen rooms were 19 square metres, which we deem inadequate for our needs. We booked the superior queen but ended up in a 19 square metre room. This was very cramped and somewhat unpleasant for two people and two large suitcases. On enquiring about the room size we were told that they do not use the ‘other superior’ queen room on weekends as it is noisy, our room was of the same standard. This is not the case - we were given an inferior room with no discount. Rooms advertised as a certain size should be of that size, it makes an enormous difference to the quality of the stay.

The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location near the main station, we were able to walk everywhere. We liked the teapot and teacups and there were plenty of tea options to choose from. Room was modern and we were able to check in an hour early. Read lots of negative reviews about noise but we happened to stay on the two nights that the nightclub was shut next door. I can imagine this being a big issue on other nights. Room came with earplugs, luckily we didn't need to use these.
The room was quite small and the "windows" could not open and were frosted making it impossible to see out. There was also no natural light as the windows seemed to face a concrete wall. The was no iron in the room and the elevators can only be described as dodgy (when they were working). Check-in/check-out staff seemed a bit cold. For the price of this hotel you would expect these avoidable issues to not be present.
4.1
The room was luxury looking and feeling. Close in the city to things.
They didn’t have a shuttle.

Loved the little touches like the tea pots and cups. Room was really clean and bed was super comfortable. Bar staff were excellent on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived. As were the check in staff and concierge staff.
Mini bar prices were outrageous.
The waitress you had on breakfast on Sunday morning very much let the entire experience down. Didn’t speak English. If we asked a question she said she didn’t know and walked away from the table. Passed plates across one the table right in front and one others on the table. Coffees were and breakfast were very slow. Check out was a shambles with queues of guests all over reception. Up until Sunday morning service and accommodation was impeccable. Sunday morning (particularly the waiters (who really didn’t seem to care) Let it all down.

The bed was super comfortable. The hotel was close proximity to Britomart, cafes, shopping mall.
The room was claustrophobic, a small window hidden by the wardrobe. The room was also quite smelly, more noticeable on return to the room - smells of food.
4.1
Nice rooms and large bathroom. Valet parking was handy.
Serious issue with noise at the nightclub next door. They operates rave type night on Friday, Saturday and Wednesday. On the holiday weekend they also had one on the Sunday. The staff were poorly trained and despite many complaints they didn’t challenge the incredible noise level. On the Sunday night eventually one spoke to the hotel manager who advised how to get the noise turned down. Even then the club gradually increased it again between 10.30 and 12 when they were again challenged. The night club is clearly breaching its licensing regulations and the hotel manager is aware. She says she will train night staff to deal with it. However having experienced incredible noise and vibration until 4am I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The manager is fully aware.

The location is excellent
A bit noisy at night, but that comes with being so central
4.1
Bed was sensational and room was so well done, very tidy.
Couldnt check in for an hour, so sat around in foyer with dozens of others. Location is in down town so alot of party and night club noise. kind of realised when I saw the ear plugs next to my bed. Made for an interrupted sleep.
4.1
Clean and modern. comfortable bed and bedding. Staff are nice and great customer service when needed.
Parking info when checking in. The loud night club next door on the weekends. Needed to contact staff about the excessive loud music that went on until 2am. Even though the location was perfect and knowing that the city would be loud in the weekends, this experience of loud music was extreme that you could hear the speakers crackling and rattling of metal building exterior through vibration at times it was just rumbling. Was made worse when people were singing on a microphone the sound went out the gate louder it was no joke and my partner and I aren’t fussy. But the staff were apologetic and gave us compensation for it. I would have paid the hotel more for a room away from that end of the building as the hotel is nice then to have to experience what we did. We had heard the loud as music before leaving for a night out and returned back late to the music way louder until 2am. A couple in the room next door also were up set.

Nice hotel.
Very loud night club noise both nights of our stay. Would not stay in this hotel again.
The elevators were also not in good repair.

Perfect location as had business in Albert Street. Very warm welcome by the door by concierge and valet parking @$50 worth the cost. Rooms more than excellent- I've never been in a hotel that supplies earplugs, no need for them as both our rooms very quite. Monsoon shower head - hard to get out of the shower! Exceptional buffet breakfast. Staff very well presented in suits and their professionalism made you feel you were indeed in a 5 star ++++ experiance.

The room was way too small for any luggage to be accessed. The toilet was really open to the room itself as the glass door did not provide any privacy. The dim lighting in the bathroom made it almost impossible to see yourself in the mirror. The hotel had a blackout at 9pm, no lights, no air conditioning. There was no plan and there was no contact with guests. We went out to find out what was happening and there were elderly guests on the 8th floor leaning over the stair well yelling out to get some answers. Also found out there had been a black out the night before and there had been other blackouts over the last few months. Obviously there are some maintenance issues. Electricity was restored at around 11pm. The next morning the early staff on duty said they did not know about the blackout. Obviously some communication issues as well. I asked for a full refund but was only given 30%.

Alles! Insgesamt super, unbedingte Empfehlung!
Alles super!

We had an upgrade to a king with a massive bed which was amazing, one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I was just overjoyed. I am constantly travelling and this was a real find. I cannot wait to go back.
Staff were very good even when the previous customer in front of us was unhappy (not the hotels fault).
Well recommended

posizione e basta
Siamo rimasti molto delusi.

Location and staff were amazing !
Bathroom was very small with little vanity storage. Carpet was not clean in the room. Only one roll of toilet paper upon arrival which was not enough.

Beautiful decor and facilities. Friendly staff especially Beatrice and Mark, and sorry I didn't get the name of the other lovely concierge staff from the Czech Republic but he was so sweet! They all made my stay so comfortable!

The singing next door. Having others in the room. We couldn’t really hear each other.

Bed was comfortable and bathroom lovely.
Room wasn’t ready when we arrived after 215pm! Was then told they had no idea when the room would be available. I asked 3 times with no confirmed time. I then said we had plans at 3pm so couldn’t wait long. only at this stage was a room made available. Noise was horrendous until 2-3am! Also found a random pair or boots under our sofa!

Good location, great staff, comfortable stay. We will be back!
They have always had T2 tea when we have stayed before but now it’s Dilmah, so disappointing!

Great location easy access
No where stated about having to pay a bond

Location was great. Rooms were nice but small. The staff were great and its very tidy. They gave us a bottle of bubbles and some chocolates. Not sure if that was the norm or if we paid for it somewhere but it was a nice touch.
On the smaller side and no windows as such (looked out to a shaft and one very high window to obv let in natural light). The booking didn't state there would be no window but for one night it was fine. We were on the first floor and you could hear the night club below on a Wednesday night. This is the case on Wednesday and Saturday nights i believe. Our friends stayed on the 4th floor and had no issues but paid more for a better room. I didn't realise there was a difference.
