lack of care towards our amenities working was quite disappointing and frustrating.

Location and the rooms

Internet was not working in our room on the tv or our wifi and the extractor fan in bathroom was also not working. Would come on randomly but not all the time or when needed. When I called reception they said sorry but just keep trying the internet, it should start working again and as for the fan the maintenance guy wont be in until morning. Room service meals from restaurant were not very good either. We had 2 toddlers and the lack of care towards our amenities working was quite disappointing and frustrating. No discount or offers to try better our stay i.e a new room

Our Perfect Auckland Stay

It's perfect. 10/10 for the new room renovations. I've known Rose Park since the 1980's and it has always been a hospitable place to stay and now it's really beautiful.

There's nothing not to like. We love staying there.

Staying at rose garden hotel

The food was amazing went to the restaurant for dinner and had breakfast it was so good

Our room was by the main road very noisy 12.45am was woken by a car with music so loud and lots of people taking and the buses. There was no info in the room so if we wanted room service there was no menu. I had to go back to desk to ask for the Wi-Fi password.

3 Nights, It's nice but there's no kitchen

Location and free parking was great for our trip, especially being so close to the CBD.

We had to make our breakfast in a cup. Cutlery was limited to a teaspoon. We liked having the option to go to the breakfast buffet or restaurant for dinner, However the complete lack of plates or cutlery was a massive letdown and this left a bad taste in our mouths. Signs were available to let the staff know we didn't require cleaning that day. However upon our return, the signs had been removed and taken away and we felt the staff had invaded our privacy.

Convenient stay with yummy breakfast!

Loved the morning breakfast, such a highlight for our stay. The room was clean and well presented. Very comfortable and exactly what we needed for the short one nights stay.

There was construction happening when we arrived and so there were no car parks available near our room.

Perfect für Auckland in einem schönen Villenviertel

Die Lage am Rosengarten und in diesem sehr hübschen Villenviertel für einen schönen Spaziergang. Das Café gegenüber ist gut für einen Kaffee aber nicht für ein Dinner. Im Hotel hatten wir nicht gegessen. Läuft man im Wohnviertel herum gibt es auch ein Restaurant und ein Galleriecafe mit französischen Backwaren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und unser Zimmer hatte sogar ein Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett. Bett sehr bequem, Badezimmer modern uns sehr sauber. Man kann sogar zu Fuß in die Innenstadt waren aber sehr froh oben auf dem Hügel zu übernachten. Die Innenstadt gibt nicht sehr viel her und ist schnell besichtigt.

Für uns entsprach alles unseren Bedürfnisse für eine Nacht

Beautiful place and staff.

All the staff were great, the room was clean and comfy. Really enjoyed our staying in that hotel. They well deserve their stars. The view is wonderful and the quick access to the Rose Park was nice.

Parnell a peaceful stay

Everything so good. Great location nostalgic for me brought up in Parnell loved this motel.

Lived the Room the view was great lived tge rise gardens Judges Bay the Room was clean comfortable and the staff very helpful and kind.

Lovely Hotel in a good location.

Room was great. Nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful and the location is great.

The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. It was a buffet so by the time we got to it some stuff was pretty inedible.

Great hotel with modernised bathrooms, comfy beds and good reading lights etc. Friendly, welcoming staff. Nearby Rosie’s

Friendly welcoming staff. Great location opposite the Parnell Rose Gardens. Rooms totally upgraded and modern and extremely clean.

Looks the the property is undergoing some upgrading and maintenance in all the pathways and common use walkways etc and when this is completed it will be very nice.

The very helpful ladies I had dealings with.

The customer service team were great in particular the two young ladies on the pm shift.They were friendly and were most helpful in getting my son's clothing items left behind back to us in Hastings.

I had added another night but on following up found out it hadn't been entered which mean't had to check out and recheck in the second night into another room which discovered only had the one Queen bed not the twin doubles as booked.I ended up sleeping on the floor as was told a single trundle bed couldn't be provided.

Stop over for short time without stripping out the pocket lining.

Room needs some attention, otherwise price and location was an absolute winner, with clean room.

Needing better lighting and curtains need checking for lost eyehooks, and a bit of paint goes a long way with wash area to be updated. Just the little touches can go a long way

Very nice room and excellent location.

Lovely room, nice facilities, clean and comfortable. Nice to have a coffee machine. Very handy to Spark arena.

Bed is a little hard, and it's a shame that the nice bathroom didn't have an expelair.

Good stay and venue :)

Breakfast was good, good location. Although our room wasn't ready upon arrival after 3pm, we were provided with some drinks vouchers while we waited.

We were unable to park in the hotel car park due to inconsiderate parking by others staying in the hotel. I did raise this with the reception staff but the cars did not seem to shift so we had to park out on the main street.

Disappointed

The location of the motel was good. Within walking distance of food places and reasonable distance to other shopping and attractions. Plenty of parking, although quite narrow parks and some vehicles were taking up nearly 2 spaces which made it difficult to park safely. Really beautiful Rose Garden across the road. Nice to go for a walk around.

The only staff member I dealt with upon arrival/checkout wasn't very welcoming and came across a little rude. The facilities in the room were disappointing, no cuttlery (other than 2 teaspoons), plates, or bowls, only cups. No microwave or toaster, so couldn't heat anything or make our own breakfast. While the bathroom was lovely, the water pressure in the shower was awful. The bed wasn't all that comfortable, so we struggled to sleep and woke with a sore back. Overall, the experience wasn't great. It was okay but wouldn't stay again.

Very good except for late check in

Location is very good with a bus stop in front of the hotel which takes you to the city center

Late check in at 3pm. Even arriving at 2pm we had to sit around until 3pm. By this time the crowd at reception is quite large

The renovations will make a difference

The location is great and there are plenty of off street parking spots. The staff were lovely, very friendly and professional. Modern Aircon unit which was appreciated this time of year.

I think if you are staying here you need to be sure you are staying in one of the freshly renovated rooms which have great reviews. We stayed in a very old room, and it smelt musty/stale. The bathroom has some mould in the tile grout and silicone and the sink has a slow draining (blockage?) The shower has decent pressure but the head is situated low on the wall so for me at 6' it was chest height. Unfortunately the WiFi network available for guests wasn't even visible when attempting to connect, the signal is so poor.

Schmutzig und unfreundlich

Zimmer war renoviert, Bad war schön und neu aber das wars auch schon

Angefangen mit einer unfreundlichen Dame beim check in; zimmer war bei unser ankunft nicht wirklich sauber (krümel überall, fleck auf dem bett) war aber für uns ok. Am nächsten tag fanden wir morgens unter dem bett eine verfaulte tomate (die da schon einige tage/wochen lag) wir meldeten es bei der Rezeption. Als wir abends wiederkamen war das zimmer noch schmutziger als davor inkl glascherbe auf dem boden (wir familie mit kindern 1&3)+ das bettlacken war so drapiert, dass man nicht mehr unters bett sah, wo immernoch die verfaulte tomate lag. Bei Beanstandung hieß es nur sie wären "short staffed" auf frage ob es zum einen preisnachlass gäbe erwähnte der rezeptionist dass wir eine nacht extra zahlen müssen (war unser fehler, aufgrund der langen anreise und zeitverschiebung kamen wir versehentlich 1 tag später an und blieben eine nacht zu lange) davon sagte uns auch weder beim checkin noch am eigentlichen checkout tag jmd etwas?!?! Wenn ein gast einen tag zu spät ankommt und am checkout tag nicht auscheckt erwähnt man doch etwas?! Insgesamt sehr schmutzig und unfreundlich für das geld ein klares no-go

Comfortable clean accomadation which is just outside downtown but within walking distance

Our room had 2 queen double beds and the bathroom had recently been refurbished and was excellent.

Comfortable room, across road from park. Quiet location.

The location was perfect, across the road from the rose garden and park. Close to Parnell Rd with lots of cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Room had been renovated with new bathroom facilities.

Review Review of stay

Great location. Swimming pool rose garden.

Motel smelled like cigarette. There was no remote in our room so we couldnt turn on the tv to watch it. When we reported this to staff at reception, the staff member followed us over to our room to check, but quite literally just stopped at the door looking around. She then asked if we would knock on the door next door to ask if they had a remote in there room, to which my husband said no to as he felt uncomfortable doing this. After searching doe the remote under the beds we found stockings, a sock, and a hair tie. Therefore cleaners werent cleaning thoroughly under or behind the beds. Other than that it was great. It was cheap, the room was nice, beds were comfortable and we had a great stay.
