Super friendly staff and brilliant quiet location
Nothing!
4.5
The location was outstanding, situated close to the river and nature. The meals were superb, prepared and cooked with quality. Our room was one of the recently refurbished ones with ample space, private and quiet.
All the staff we encountered were welcoming, pleasant and approachable.
The meals and the drinks were put on our room which was great but at the end the bill was not itemized so not sure what we paid for.

Location was great for our needs
The room was really warm on arrival and through the night

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary 3rd May for 3 nights.
Lovely location and staff were great, in particular Amber, Ryan and Romeo..
The seating area outside is lovely, all in all it was a lovely stay and a lovely hotel
Room was very small but very clean so cant complain.

The hotel has undergone refurbishment and it’s both classy and comfortable. Our room in the annex was absolutely fantastic and we will be booking again.
The staff are also really great - they clearly love working in the venue and it shows in the service they deliver.

Newly refurbished room, great views, good food, friendly staff. The hotel more than met our expectations for our first stay in the area for many years.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. The room we were in had just been decorated and it was gorgeous.
I wouldn’t say didn’t like as we loved the property. Meals were slightly overpriced but portions were large and enjoyable.

nothing worth mentioning

no lift to second floor, so had to bring up heavy suitcase. This should have been made clear on booking. Lovely gardens but seating could have been better.
4.5
The staff were really friendly and efficient and the views were beautiful, our room with a bacony, great views and sunbeds was perfect.
I really couldn't find fault.

Breakfast was good and no issues
Location is alright but a good 15mins drive away from Keswick
Dinner was nice but the cheapest meal option was 19.95! seems a little expensive but it was good and nothing wrong with the service etc. very dog friendly which was a massive bonus to us.
Meals were to expensive and I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night as it’s to far to walk to the main town. But that’s us we like to stay near the town! But it was a nice place and for one night it was good, just a little expensive for what it is. The room was a family room which we didn’t ask for, we wanted a double. It was £140 plus the expensive meals so added up to over £200 for one night.

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Very comfortable bed, big bathroom.
Dinner was good and very tasty breakfast.
Nothing.

Comfortable, relaxing, clean. Traditional with an understated modern twist. Wonderful location with walks for all abilities nearby. Bus stops nearby and the jetty for the boat to Keswick is a few minutes walk from the hotel. Plenty of parking. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food is delicious and a reasonable selection to choose from.

Location, Decor, Cleanliness, Staff, Service, Food, Value for Money, Ease/Speed of check-in/check-out. On the way home, reception contacted me to inform me that I'd left my Kindle in my room. The gave me clear instructions of how to how to have it returned.
Mattress too soft and springy

The breakfast was nice and the view
Bed wasn't comfortable and it was really cold we didn't have any heating and it was - 4

The view from the restaurant/breakfast area was the best part of the whole stay, including the bird feeders and all the songbirds right outside the window. Location is quiet and right on Derwentwater. Room was somewhat small but there is a conservatory area with seating where we could sit with our dog and enjoy a drink. Great value for money and we would definitely stay here again. We thought the Sunday roast dinner was quite good.
At times the wifi was pretty slow but really not an issue since we weren’t visiting the Lakes District to stare at our phones.

Everything was perfect, we booked as a last minute option after being a bit tired of the fact we'd been camping out in the wind and rain for the last week, we wanted our last night away together to be comfortable and warm and it was! Receptionist polite at check in, room very spacious, lovely modern bathroom and the bed was really comfy. Gardens and surrounding are beautiful with views of the lake!!
Nothing :)

Everything really! The hotel was perfect for our stay - the staff were helpful and friendly, the accommodation was comfortable and extremely clean, the bar was a cosy retreat in the evening with its real fire and mulled wine after a day spent walking in the rain!, and the restaurant was a relaxing place to enjoy a meal and also a lovely breakfast while taking in the wonderful views. Perfect!
